I was 23 years old with little to no real Driving experience…. Trust me, I’m not proud, but we all have different circumstances in life. I paid for this course and though I was really nervous and had to make it work with two young children. I did it though, even with the fear and anxiety that was still going through my mind during the course and driving classes. With the instructors I got through it!! I passed everything that was necessary because of their thorough classes, they want you to bad just as badly as you want to! Now I’m 100% confident while driving, something I only dreamed of. Thank you David, Sheri, and Chuck. I will never forget you guys and all the amazing life advice you’ve given me. I might have just been one of hundreds you all work with, but you 3 were so much more than that for me. (‘: your class changed my life

Experiencia negativa: paid to be yelled at only for him to wonder why I wasn't driving focused doing my drive test and I failed it due to that fact. Didn't practice really anymore at all and went to 911 driving school about a week later and passed with no issues.

Everything went as to be expected, I would recommend this school to anyone searching for a business that communicates well, and genuinely cares.

Experiencia fantástica: I just took my driving test here. I can't speak for the instruction course/classes. This was one of the best interactions I've ever had with a complete stranger. I was so nervous and the gentleman that administered my test kept reassuring me that I was doing just fine. I thought I had made a mistake, that would automatically fail me. He asked me more than once: "Would it make you feel better, if I told you..." and whatever it was he said, it always made me feel better. After some sweating on my end and more reassurance from him, I learned that he's been doing this job for the last 10+ years and he's never been in a car crash while administering a driving test. Suffice to say that made me feel so much better and we proceeded to have a pleasant conversation on our way back to the Confident Driving Instruction business parking lot. Where he congratulated me on passing the test and wished me a fond farewell. Overall it ended up being a very good experience/day for me, his kind and jovial spirit definitely played a big part in it.Thank you for your relaxing help and confidence, it was a pleasure to meet you.I highly recommend that if your looking into taking your driver's test, look into this business. It has great prices, wonderful customer service/staff members and it's done by appointment only. A+++

Experiencia fantástica: Two of my kids attended Confident Driving School when there was an office inFelida. We loved this school. It was the least expensive of all of the schools that we looked into. It was extremely convenient and easy to schedule and the instructor was very personable. My kids were well taught and well prepared for both the written and driving test. The school did a much better job of teaching them how to drive then I would have on my own! I was really sad that the Felida branch closed down and we ending up going with a different driving instruction school for my next kid. I very much regret it. This new school is by far inferior to Confident Driving.

Experiencia negativa: Had to take my final drive test for the school less than 2 days after my older brothers got in a really nasty car crash. It had killed his fiance and he was in the hospital, he was in critical condition and barely conscious. I expressed this to one of the instructors, Sherri to explain why I was nervous and she responded by telling me that she used my brother's crash as an example in her class. During the drive, she kept asking about funeral details for his late fiancee. When I performed less than stellar, she told me, and I quote: "no offense, but if you were my kid, I'd never let you anywhere near a car. However, I'll pass you against my better judgement because I don't want to give your parents the added stress of scheduling another test."

Experiencia positiva: If I were to take a driving test anywhere, it would be here, it was amazingly short and straightforward. There wasn’t anything bad to say about the experience, there was however, a problem with getting into contact over the phone with them. Other than that you can expect to pass with ease if you know the fundamentals. 5/5 experience, 2/5 communication.

Experiencia negativa: My phone number was mistakenly confused with a student enrolled in their program. Despite informing each of the employee's multiple attempts over the course of two months to contact said student that they have the wrong number - even a formal email to their website - I am still not only being contacted but being sent contact information for all students enrolled and being put into group chats with parents. Unprofessional and spammy.

Experiencia negativa: When the people of confident driving lose their kindness toward others and their professionalism is lacking, it's safe to say they should either quit or go on a much needed vacation. This is how I felt with every encounter with every employee here. They are all extremely defensive when I tried to ask clarifying questions and they nearly made my child cry a few times during driving practice... If you are looking for a professional driving school that will actually make your child confident in their skills, look elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is FFF…firm but fair and friendly. What more can you ask for? Also one of the only places in the area that allows the drive test to be taken in your personal vehicle which is how it should be, in my opinion. Why add the stress of an unfamiliar vehicle?

I took all my tests here and my final drive exam and passed on first try! it was self explanatory and pretty easy! the guy who works there was very patient and kind It was a very comfortable environment even with the written testing!

Experiencia negativa: This place has the worst service!! Don’t waste your money. They have horrible communication and just take your money. They don’t work with kids that have any disabilities at all and honestly they don’t care enough about teaching them to drive! If I could give them zero stars I would!

Experiencia negativa: I signed my foster daughter up for this school. She has adhd and struggles in a classroom environment. When she took the final, she failed. I asked the school for assistance before the retake. They would not provide the specifics on what questions she missed and what to study for. I went in to talk to them to try and explain her history and why we needed more support and the female teacher was not respectful. She forgot her drive times, so I paid more for make up drives. I felt like I was fighting for my daughter to pass against a school that didn’t want her too. We studied everyday but she still failed the retake. She is now at Centeline driving school, the school is more familiar with adhd, has given her extra study support and is allowing her more time on the final. She is blossoming, learning more and the drives are scheduled digitally so we both get texts reminding us of drive times. If your child struggles at all with adhd, find another school.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible place. My child just completed their driving portion and passed at the Felida location (we never received any documentation regarding the drives to know what they needed to work on). I was told the Instructor would put them down when they were driving if something was done incorrectly. Today we found out that the WA STATE knowledge test was canceled without notice; it was scheduled this morning. I called to see what happened and to find out when they can get in to take the test again and the man was extremely rude to me. We changed our weekend plans so they could take this test. When we arrived at the Orchards location, it was reported that students were just standing around (the kids weren’t greeted or given instructions ... just standing and waiting). I was told that two women were speaking in a foreign language loudly and that David left on a drive (I saw him leave). When the test was finally administered it was reported that the ladies didn’t stop talking loudly. He graded my child's test and told them that they missed it by 2 points but didn’t let them know what was missed. My other child went to a different driving school which was hands down better in all aspects (professionalism, communication, and standard of instruction). We will not be giving them any more of our money and will complete the state testing at the previous driving school. Steer clear of this driving school!!!I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Department of Licensing.

I am completely satisfied with the quality of the course, the learning environment, and let me tell you, the staff is phenomenal. My kids are two very different people and I had no worries that they would be taught at their ability level utilizing their strengths and that their individual challenges would be addressed. They also have three different locations in South West Washington to suit the needs in many areas. Give Confident your business. You can trust them with your kids and you can trust the quality of the course. The owner David Gile is pretty funny too.

Experiencia negativa: Didn’t really teach my daughter how to drive and passed her anyways? She wasn’t even close to ready to drive when he was finished with her. I told him she needed more drives and I was ignored. He’s only there to collect the money and that’s it. Sad.

Experiencia negativa: Joke..at the intersection of grand and 112th, this instructor was reading and writing in a clipboard before he came to stop at the red light next to me. Then when he finally stopped he pulled out his phone and proceeded to text. HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE HIS HANDS ON THE WHEEL WHILE USING THE CLIPBOARD...I CALLED THE CO. AND ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE OWNER BUT THE RECEPTIONIST WOULDN'T ALLOW ME. SHE EXCUSED IT AS HE WAS CHECKING HIS TIME...JOKE. if schools are using this company teach your kids to drive yourself

Experiencia negativa: My son took the written test here 5 times. He studied all the online practice tests and got 90-100%. Every time he went to take it the guy said he got the same percentage and missed the passing by one question. So I said enough and took him somewhere else directly after failing. It was the same test and he passed first try with flying colors. 97%. (This place also offered a second test free if the student fails the first time (as some kids just get nervous and test jitters or whatever the case may be). Then he found out the same thing happened at the same location with his friend. Something is up with this location!!! Beware. ❌❌UPDATE❌❌ After asking general questions at the place my son took and passed his test at, I decided to call the Confident Driving Instruction location he failed over and over in Orchards. I spoke with the man that had administered his tests (can’t think of his name at the moment) and VERY POLITELY asked general questions about the test, how it’s graded (manual or computer-and it is graded manually he said) if I (or my son) can find out what he missed each time so we know what he needs to focus on (he didn’t know we went elsewhere yet) and what details he could give us about his 5 fails to help him. After him telling me it’s graded by hand and they wouldn’t tell us what he missed each time (and he was very evasive about answers and no matter how I phrased it, would not answer questions directly, even after I repeated it back for clarification or understanding) I then explained the situation. I said Well here’s what happened (and explained). So I’m wondering if there could have simply been errors when it was graded? And asked to see a transcript or percentage (even if not the exact questions). He got even ruder and I told him at this point, I’m questioning the validity of the test administered and grading. (Still being very polite) I explained to pay $35 five times (plus the 6th elsewhere) is a lot for us. And given the whole situation, including how my son was treated, to immediately pass somewhere else after failing here the 5th time, and getting 90 something percent, (just like all his practice tests) seems off to me. And I’d like some kind of assurance and proof the grading was accurate the 5 times he took it and failed **by one every single time** at his location. After more rudeness and evasiveness, he said well that’s not going to happen and this conversation is over. Then he hung up on me. I tried calling back and he wouldn’t answer. Also, the line goes directly to a voicemail set up by him without a proper business line with options or business information when you do call. Long story short, he was extremely rude, refused to give my son or I any information, hung up, and wouldn’t answer or speak with us after.

Experiencia fantástica: As a former student I can feel that I can give a honest opinion on the quality of Condifent Driving. David the owner, founded the school because after his kids graduated their driving schools he was appalled by the poor teaching skills in the county... so he started his own school to ensure that he knew that the kids going through his school were getting the best schooling and would go on to be safe drivers. Yes, I suppose he talks about his personal life during class time, but that allows the students to connect to thier teacher. David is a hardcore teacher to say the least, with his sole purpose to ensure that kids are safe drivers, his comments about not caring if we pass or fail was totally misinterpreted, he does care for the student but does not care if he has to fail us if he doesn’t think we are safe drivers. Long story short the low price is great and has no reflection on the quality of the school. If you want your student to be a safe driver and know that they earned their license then send them to Condident Driving!

Experiencia negativa: Very poor communication from the office girl and her stepdad that owes the place, Also they never communicate that my daughter could not retake her drive test, She took her drive test and she failed so I call to reschedule and said that was the deadline and she could not retake the test, They told me she had to take driver ed again, I asked can I pay for a drive test and they would not respond at all, I’m totally disappointed after I told them my daughter needs more help because she has a hard time learning and please to communicate with me, They Charger a lot, I also got charged for a miss drive that the instructor failed telling my daughter to meet at the driving school when she was told they are picking her up at her local school so she can do a drive and she can drive home from her school.. I paid $500 for nothing..

Good class times and everything was made clear for parents, the next one of my children who will drive will go here for sure!

Experiencia negativa: I did not have a good experience with the location on Gher Road. I was five minutes late and they refused to test me but when I called to reschedule they informed me that I would have to pay again when no one told me and it says no where on there website that I would have to pay again if I missed the appointment. I stated that to them and gave them my number to have the manager call me back and never heard anything.

Experiencia fantástica: David was the instructor today for my written and driving and I had an amazing experience here for the written test and the driving test they charge very reasonable here and I love how detail they are here with guidance about how to study and or motivating us to do better or techniques and ways to help with passing as I was leaving David was cheering on another student as I headed out and that’s awesome! Appreciated the customer service was amazing here. Thank you to All of the employees at this location you all of you were amazing.

Experiencia positiva: I was reading the reviews and there is a lot of mixed emotions about confident driving so I figured I would be an honest source. I was a student there a year ago. I'm not sure how other driving instructions run but confident driving was an affordable place to turn to. Many reviews says the instructor talks about his personal life and this is true. From what I remember it didn't waste much class time and it allowed to create a bond between the students and the instructor which is very important. When I couldn't be picked up after a drive, we would drive to my house instead so I could get home safely and learn the route of my neighborhood. He offered to take students out into the snow to learn how to control a car in ice or snow. He showed us how to jumpstart a car (which I don't think he does consistently) which was a very important lesson to me. Some other reviews were saying that driving in the nearby neighborhood is not safe. 1. Neighborhoods are the easiest to learn in because of low traffic and slow speeds. 2. He encourages the students to take the driving at a slow pace, and most students will drive 20 or under in the neighborhoods. 3. He could brake the car at any moment as well. I just don't understand the people saying this is dangerous. Would you like the students to start on the highway? He is a patient person with students. With limited staff communication is sometimes delayed, although he does usually get back to you within a day or two if not right away. Overall, yes confident driving is not perfect and has some things to work on. Nevertheless they are a great school and an affordable one.

Experiencia negativa: How does anyone learn to drive here all they do is have students drive a round a culdi-sac. This place is why most people in Washington can't drive worth a damn. It's pretty sad when a company has to have one of their employees give a five star rating, that's just pathetic.

Experiencia negativa: Confident driving, is over rated. I give it one star based on my experience with them. The driving instructors have very little patience and understanding of those struggling around them. Those at Confident Driving will constantly talk about personal issues to there students and waist valued time. My final problem was with how they acted, on the first day of drivers ed, one of the driving instructors made rude comments about not caring if we passed or failed, just caring that he got are $350. I do NOT recommend this driving school, just because it may be cheaper than other schools.

Experiencia negativa: Frustrating - poor communication. Do not return calls, emails and when they do it's limited information or they only contact my son. Chuck was 20 min late for a drive and didn't let us know - we had to leave. Now trying to get final state testing and help and not getting return calls - finally hear from them and they're 3 weeks out for scheduling. I called a different driving school and was met with happy and helpful people- they were more than accommodating with scheduling. Where is the customer service Confident? I do not recommend this driving school!

Experiencia fantástica: I went here 10 years ago and had such a great experience with both price and people, that I came back and I am acctually now employed here. The instructors here are fun loving and pretty easy going, but they also care about the safety of each teen who goes through their program (they wont pass unless they have done their practicing and are truly prepared to have their licence). Its a family run local business and they have the best prices! The price includes the testing (knowlage and drive) which costs additional at other schools, all around I truly feel this is the place to go!

Experiencia negativa: These people are very inconsiderate of privacy and disrespectful. They almost killed a child in our neighborhood last summer. I wouldn't put my child in their vehicle if they are going to put people in danger!!! Your choice. My child said that the female instructor is very controlling and rude as she instructs. For safety purposes, spend a little more money and get quality training. These people are not taking you to safe areas to train. A neighborhood with children is not a good place to practice driving!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Used their service for my Wife who is new to this country and felt they did an excellent job on teaching her driving. They picked her up and dropped back at our house, helped here get her license. Were very courteous and patient and not very many places can beat their price.
