One week (40 hours) is spent on classroom theory and instruction.We aim to focus our majority of time spent behind the wheel and learning from real life application.

I got my cdl license with this schools help. I couldn’t imagine going to another school because Blaine and Tony were the best instructors someone could have. During the test I felt confident due to being trained and shown to drive the truck properly.

If you are looking to get your CDL, I highly recommend giving OTR a call. I did my research and went to visit 5 other schools in Las Vegas before enrolling with OTR. They were able to work with me on a refresher course since I had previously attended another school (NEVER GO TO 160 Driving Academy) and I just needed to work on my skills and retake my test.

I was ready to start a new journey in my life. OTRCDL helped me obtain my class a cdl with confidence and without hesitation. The office staff is warm and welcoming. I am trying to get into trucking school and had spoke to Casey about how to get enrolled to start getting financed for my CDL. I had called around to other schools but only OTR had someone available to answered my questions. He also would call to follow up with me. But since I am relocating out of state I will have to get my training where I am moving to.

I recently completed my CDL training at OTR and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The instructors here are top-notch, extremely knowledgeable, and dedicated to helping students succeed. The school's facilities are excellent, with modern equipment (ex. a simulator, as seen in pic) and a well-maintained skills yard that simulated real-world driving scenarios.

I was blown away by the difference in this school. The office and classroom had a welcoming feel, the staff were genuine and knowledgeable, my instructors on the yard were patient and encouraging. I wish I would have went to this school my first time around. This school doesn't just feel like they want to take your money, they seem genuinely invested in you as a person.

Another instructor that’s amazing is Jay. He is so funny and down to earth. He like to get down to business and at the same time he wants to see you win. He is amazing inside and out. He is amazing when it comes to pre-trip, guaranteed you will get it down-pack with Jay.

This a great place to get your CDL very friendly crew and the prices are fair compared to other schools .I was already a cdl holder but needed manual transmission lessons as a refresher Casey helped pick the right classes working around my work schedule. Blaine is a great teacher learned a lot more from him on how to shift on a manual truck than anyone else.

I have a story about Blaine Bowen. I attended his class and I am now a over the road truck driver driving all 48 states. Besides him being a kind person he was down to earth he was funny and he was very patient and kind. He's just a cool down to earth man and I really loved being in his class. I'm now gainfully employed and I feel great.

As for the instructors they took the time to make sure I understood what they were saying and how to put what they were saying into action. They pushed me when I needed to be pushed and calmed me when I was nervous. To think less than 30 days ago I was scared to parallel park my daily driver, now I’m parallel parking a 70 foot tractor and trailer with ease. Thank you OTR for providing me the keys to succeed!

Listen up closely, this is Hands Down the best truck driving school in Las Vegas!!!! Jay taught me my incab and outside inspection to perfection. These guys are experts and will train you to be the best.

I could complete my license after leaving another school that I was not trained as well at. The instructors know the DMV standards inside and out and will make sure they get you ready to test and give you honest feedback. They are also getting examining authority soon in their yard. Good instructor to student ratio as well. Best bang for the buck in town, highly recommend!!!

The best choice I have made in my entire life. Great teachers especially Blaine! He has the best jokes. Ron will help you as well if you just don't get it and need extra help. My examiner Alicia made the skills test easy and the road test she made it a breeze. You will test where you practice. They will put you 1st making the over all experience a perfect one.

Jason as my driving skills instructor is unparalleled! He made this the greatest experience that I've ever had behind the wheel of a combination vehicle.

I have attended this school twice. Once for my CDL and again for my Hazmat endorsement. Both times the instructors were exceptional. Everyone from the front desk to the class instructor to the range instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. Because of them I passed all my tests easily and on the first try. The reputation of this school landed me a job within a week of graduation.

Lastly Tony… put the D in Dynamite ???? He was the first instructor to help me lose the anxiety my first time behind the wheel. He answered all my questions and took his time to go over any skill I didn’t feel confident in. This school gets a ????????. Choosing this school was the best decision I ever made.

Just finished my classroom training. Having been a truck driver for many years and having to retake this training I was a little skeptical. But after spending the time in the classroom with Jerry I was pleasantly surprised! I recommend taking the course with On The Road. They are very professional and extremely thorough with their training!

If you're willing to put in the work, they will be there to support and guide you with the areas you may be struggling with and make sure you are given the opportunity to be successful. This school cares about teaching the students . I completed the course. If you want to learn and learn from knowledgeable instructors I recommend OTR Kyle and Cliff true professionals. This driving school is the bestest!! Braddah Kyle, Matt, and Mr. Faircloth (My amazing instructor), were very very Patient, respectful and know their stuff! They all are super friendly and they are really straight forward with explaining each and every little detail out to you that you may need to succeed in this schooling adventure. My husband recently earned his CDL from a nearby competitor, but I wasn’t thrilled about starting my training there. So, I began my own search. After creating a spreadsheet and calling every school in the Vegas area, I ended an exhausting day with one last call to Cliff. Within less than a minute, I knew this was the place I wanted to spend the next three weeks.

From doing paperwork with Cliff, to doing in classroom training with Jerry, and learning to drive with Kyle this school has hit every mark in terms of what a driving school should do. Here you aren’t given a CDL, its earned. It really feels like a family here and they treat you like one.
