Experiencia fantástica: learn a new skill it is exited and sometimes stressful. At 37 years old, I couldn’t longer keep avoiding learn to drive, specially with a younger daughter. So finally I started the beginner training with Scott, he gave a great foundation and confidence. I took the wrong choice to test at DMVI , that let me with a bitter experience, a blank space cause they didn’t gave me a feedback about what I failed or needed to improve. So , I decided to give some time and recover my self confidence. I went back to JMDS and I took classes with Penny, she helped me to polish my driving skills and recovered my self confidence ( at that time just think about being tested give me anxiety). Penny is compromised on make of you an excellent driver. I’m so thankful to Scott and Penny. I keep them on mind each time that I hit the road. Thanks so much for your service.

Experiencia fantástica: James island driving school is a school that’s really focused on making students aware of all obstacles needed to be a disciplined driver I was taught by Ms penny and she was stern but helpful and I got my drivers license because of her experience behind the wheel I highly recommend James island driving school to anyone who is looking to be better at driving or is looking to get a driving license

Experiencia fantástica: Did 2 hour driving lessons that really helped me pass the driving test! Goes over helpful tips and all information you need to know, like the essential maneuvers. Both me and my brother used this school to learn how to drive. Ms. Penny was a great teacher and very patient, and great at answering questions during the lessons. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: If you want your kid to learn how to run red lights, cut people off, tailgate and drive with their turn signal on for a mile and a half this is the school for you. To top the tree off this happened on Christmas eve. Really seems like every parents Christmas dream to find out their kid was improperly taught after a cop call.

Experiencia fantástica: I meant to post this a loong time ago but life got a little busy. Anyways, I wanted to write a review because I absolutely cannot thank this school enough. I'm an adult (22) and hadn't ever gotten my driver's license. I figured going to a driving school was the best chance I could give myself, it was expensive, but it was worth every penny. I had the most amazing, patient driving instructor (Mr. Raeford) He was lighthearted and never made me feel anxious while driving, and we even had some cool conversations about different types of plants and flowers. I decided to pay for an extra lesson with him and then took my road test. I passed my first try! I now have a beautiful car and my license. I feel safe and confident with the skills my instructor gave me and will always highly recommend this driving school!

Experiencia negativa: Worst driving school I have ever seen. I waited 2 months to sign up for lessons, I had lessons once a month. So after 2 months of waiting and 3 lessons in 3 months, I still have not learned how to drive a car and spent a lot of money. Although the lessons were good, it's too bad that they were so infrequent because I don't have my own car to practice on my own. Cannot recommend this driving school.

Penny is nice and clear on the instructions and communicates, what is important to know. She is patient, yet puts enough pressure for improvement. I was really happy with the lessons and the driving test. They are also super helpful if you got any questions and answer the emails ASAP. All together a great experience, Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: I had booked an hourly instruction back in October and waited for my class at the beginning of November as it was their earliest available date (after it took multiple days for me to get the session booked due to lack of communication). The day of I texted (what they say their preferred way of communication is) to see when they would arrive, as it was already past my scheduled time. I received no answer. Finally, I got ahold of them 30 minutes after my start time just for them to say they forgot about me but would refund me my money. Then, I decided to give them another chance and tried to book again here recently just for them to never answer me (at this time it has been well over a week and I sent 2 separate text messages). I was very polite and understanding about them forgetting about me the first time, but feel it is extremely unprofessional to ignore me now that I tried to reach out again.

Experiencia fantástica: My grandson Elijah Wright took the class to get his permit and he passed the test. Mr Fralix Sr is very knowledgeable and friendly. Mr Fralix Sr explains everything where you can understand what he is saying. Elijah learned alot from this Driving School. This is a very good driving school. Elijah is so happy and is looking forward for his driving course. They make you feel welcome soon as you come in the door. I highly recommend C Anthony Fralix Sr and his staff. They get a 10+ rating

Experiencia negativa: After getting my road test, and failing, the instructor, an older man, was very understanding and explained everything well. You have to wait 2 weeks to retest, so I scheduled it then. I got very sick and asked to reschedule, to which the BUSINESS texted me saying I wasted his time and to try the dmv next time. It was very rude, I explained that I was unwell and would like to reschedule. Again, the BUSINESS, who in my opinion should have been more professional, texted me back reiterating how it was rude that I couldn’t show up. Did not tell me I could reschedule. I’m very shocked and will not be recommending this unprofessional business to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience at James Island Driving was excellent and Mr. Raeford Davis was a very patient and knowledgeable instructor. They teach you everything you need to know for the test and skills outside of the test that will be useful for everyday driving. I highly recommend this driving school if you need to get your license during covid!

Experiencia fantástica: Penny and Rayefold were phenomenal!! Mr Rayefold literally let me go for a test drive and allowed me to try the 4 maneuvers before the test begin. Penny was absolutely great! She was so funny and made me feel so relaxed throughout the whole test!!! Highly recommend!!

He takes his time to teach you and lets you do it over and over u til you get it right. He doesn’t get frustrated or anything he’s a calm teacher. If I could go and do everything all over again I would. I am recommending all of my friends to him because he did an awesome job. Even my grandmother agrees. 100% recommended

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had two teenagers now go through James Island Driving School - both new drivers in 2019 - and I can’t thank JIDS enough. Their instructors are top-notch. The kids feel comfortable & confident. The location was very convenient for us - but they will also meet your teen at home or school (or wherever is convenient) to start the drives. Just yesterday I saw one of their JIDS cars in front of a local high school waiting for their teen driver client. How convenient! Both of my teens had Penny & she is fabulous.

Experiencia fantástica: I started at 911 with the eight hour class, but it really was too far away to take the lessons there. So I came to James Island kinda bummed to start over with a new group... turns out I loved James Island Driving and wished I had started there from the beginning! It's a nice family-owned business, and they treat you like family, too. Penny was my instructor and I LOVE her. If you can get Penny as your instructor, you've struck gold. She explains everything so well and makes you feel so comfortable. She gave me so much confidence in myself, and I know I wouldn't be as good as a driver without all her teaching and support. Getting your license as a new driver is so stressful because nobody wants to fail... you need an awesome driving school in order to have a decent chance of passing the first time. This school wants you to do well. They care about you. They have fun with you. And they give you the confidence to know you can do it! Penny, you are the best!

Experiencia negativa: When training students on 526 teach them to stay in the right lane except when passing and not to make erratic lane changes in front of other cars. Following you this morning was a bit disconcerting.

Experiencia fantástica: James Island Driving School is the best driving school in the lowcountry. I personally came all the way from Summerville to get my Driver's Ed here, because the reputation of JI was far above any of the other local ones. If you or your child are looking for an "easy" driving school where they take you through the Taco Bell drive through and don't actually give you good lessons, then i would not recommend here. But Anthony, as a former accident scene investigator will take you through Folly Beach, downtown, Kiawah Island, i-26, and give lessons, stories, and advice the entire way regarding real-world driving situations. I passed the DMV driving test at the end of the week, with the highest score of the entire week thanks to Anthony and James Island Driving School.
