Experiencia positiva: Greg's Driving School needs to improve a lot on its hiring process for driving instructors. Many of the instructors (specifically in the DMV area) lack the ability to understand that students having however many hours of driving experience doesn't necessarily translate to strong performance every time during during lessons but this is my first lesson so I don't really have a more informative idea of how most of the instructors are (just basing this off of other reviews). Don't know why Greg's Driving School themselves doesn't want to improve their ratings, it would get them more students if they did. Michael Frazier was my in car driving instructor and for most of the lesson, he was distracted by frequently looking at his phone instead of observing my driving more to see if there is something I need to improve on and occasionally checking his phone (I couldn't tell of course on how often he was paying attention on how well I was driving because I obviously need to be paying attention at traffic/cars/pedestrians) he was also a little bit impatient during the lesson as well. He did yell at me once for a mistake I believe. I get that it can get boring having to take student drivers out to complete their driving every week but c'mon making sure your student is not going to make more mistakes in the future is much better and safer then having to deal with more drivers who got their licenses not too long ago, making unsafe mistakes on the road in the future. Also, he didn't provide any tips or constructive criticism to improve my driving after I made a mistake at all even if he did it wasn't good feedback (to me at least) but I do admit I did make a few bad mistakes and a few minor mistakes because of his condescending attitude he had towards me made me feel stupid which it did lead to me to feel nervous or worried. By the end of the lesson, he had offered no guidance on how I could fix the mistakes I had made but he did tell me something helpful which was a driver didn't going to the correct lane after I made some turn or whatever it was and that I wasn't wrong for going to a certain lane. So overall Michael wasn't that bad of an instructor and he shortened the scheduled 2-hour lesson to only 1 hour and 45 minutes, without explanation. Hopefully when I come back for a driving lesson it will be better and more informative if I ever do I guess. Only reason I picked this location was because of the availability of lessons and reviews I’ve read. The car was also almost out of gas and the wind shield had a lot of water streaks for some reason. Daniel Wheeler was my online driving school instructor and he wasn't that that bad he just failed to keep the class engaged enough where there weren't people falling asleep. Greg's Driving School overall needs to ensure its instructors have the skills to effectively teach students regardless of how many hours they have practiced. Hiring more attentive, patient, and constructive teachers would be great toward improving the overall quality of their program.

Experiencia negativa: Really bad teacher. No respect when they deal with kids and their parents

Experiencia negativa: We got in a situation, my wife had a last class there and had a flat tire hitting the curb, then the instructor older Asian lady send her walking back to the office..my wife called me and I' did pick her up in the middle..I'm not talking about unprofessional, how stupid you can be to send somebody walking for a mile and you are the one who teach them how to drive and r responsible for their safety...I went there and tried to help with the flat tire..but somebody was already helping, I spoke with the instructor she had a mask and her voice was very low, so I did not quiet understand what she said..still, I got the impression that she wasn't teaching my wife to drive, but was acting like examiner...

Experiencia positiva: Would be 5 stars if they finally fire that driving instructor named Helen. I’m deeply appreciative to my other driving instructors that helped me pass my driving test the first time, but I want to issue a special no-thanks to Helen. Helen does not offer any constructive criticism while you’re driving, she tears apart your confidence and is like a leech sucking at you until you finally believe in her self deprecating words. She single handily made me believe that I would never be a good driver and that I should give up on ever trying to drive. My friends have all had similar bad experiences with her, and she is a repeat offender of these claims. She’s like a Regina George in real, and is a huge bully. This is just a warning to all other students who may have this woman. Do not believe her degrading words, you got this!

Experiencia fantástica: No words can express how grateful I am to Mr. Rob Pilloid. By far one of the greatest human beings I have ever met, and I STRONGLY recommend him to anybody concerned about learning great skills to prepare you for every type of driving. When I say there is a BIG difference between his teaching and my last teacher at this location, I REALLY mean it!! He made me feel very comfortable with the controls of the cars and how to perform properly on the MVA road test. His tips applied to every car, not just the ones at Greg’s. He also took me to various locations to get LOTS of real practice which made a HUGE difference. My driving definitely improved after 1 session with his knowledge and expertise. He is a very genuine and kind man. The G.O.A.T of driving instructors. Mr. Nicholas was also very good and kind as well. He too made you feel in control of vehicle and was responsive to the poor weather conditions I encountered that day. He gave clear and good tips while making me feel comfortable. I really liked his attentiveness, awareness That being said I did encounter issues with Mike Frazier who “expected” you to know the area off the first inch of the car moving. He gave little direction at the beginning. He also stayed on his phone most of the time and was not very communicative (probably since he had the radio on the whole time and appeared to be watching something on his phone). While I was driving back he had the radio tuned to a conservative media source and started making uncomfortable remarks about illegal immigrants, etc. At the end he didn’t even go over my scores and wandered off somewhere. For my online class I had Mr. Dave (Online only) who is by far one of the kindest teachers to have. He was severely understanding, great at getting the class involved, used his own experiences while giving tips, and a very positive person throughout the whole class. I loved his instruction and enthusiasm and strongly recommend him as well!
