1 year ago Experiencia positiva: Testing locations leave a LOT to be desired. I saw another person take issue with the testing being in Mt. Vernon and got a very poor response from the owner. In my case, I live in Central Whidbey. The ONLY available testing locations they have as options through their website scheduling are in Mt Vernon, save for a single date at the Oak Harbor location (yes, I saw that there was a date for OH). This is 1.5 hours away for us. Certainly they can do better than a single date and time (from now through July) at the Oak Harbor location. When we initially scheduled the classes this didn't seem like it would be a foreseeable issue, but now that a few months have passed, we feel like we're kind of stuck with them. As for instruction, my child mostly had a positive experience in class and behind the wheel. The testing location issue is really upsetting though. I might have given 5 stars if there was even a handful of reasonable local testing options.
2 years ago Experiencia negativa: School cancelled multiple drives. Now school is saying there is another test that must be taken, in Mt Vernon, and it's an additional $35 on top of their $530 fee. After that, another final drive needs to be scheduled for an additional $80 on top of the $530 and $35. This school is a scam. When you pay the fee, you think you've paid it all, but they make you pay more and more. Also, it's not local, they make you drive 45 minutes away for some things. I regret using this school, will never again, and wouldn't advise anyone to use it.
Hi Corey, On your contract that you and your parent signed (and hopefully read) when you took driver's ed, it specifically says what the course includes and also (in bold) says that it does NOT include testing fees. Driver's license testing is a separate service and is not part of driver's ed. The State of WA determines the tests (a written and a drive test) that must be taken for a license so as independent contractors for the State, we of course, must follow their rules. Most schools don't include testing in their fees for driver's ed unless you pay extra upfront when you schedule your class. We test both the public and our students so that's why we separate the fees. Also, you chose to schedule your test with us although you lived 45 minutes away: we didn't force you to do that and told you where the test would be held before you scheduled the test. You are always welcome to use other schools or the Department of Licensing for your testing---some offices still do testing. I'm sorry you feel "scammed" but it's important to always read what you sign. Check out other area driving schools and you will see the fees are all very similar. No scamming on our part; we are completely transparent. Good luck to you. Veronica Munro
2 years ago Experiencia negativa: At first i found the checking the reviews from the website it gave a good impression,but when Im started my road test, I felt I was robbed, It was so quick and I fell I was rushed and the instructor's instruction was not so clear and will try to confuse you and put you under pressure, My experience with this driving school was terrible and will not recommend to anybody.

3 years ago Experiencia fantástica: I had Teresa as my instructor and she was awesome. I have always been intimidated by driving but she made me feel comfortable. She was very direct and told me what I need to work on so I can practice outside of our sessions too. I passed my road test after only three sessions with her. Overall, I highly recommend taking classes with Munros’.
