Includes 30 hours of live Zoom class sessions & 8 hours of driving lessons. Going above & beyond the CT state minimum 8 hour drug & alcohol safety program requirement, this course offers unparalleled, comprehensive knowledge that equips new drivers with the mastery to navigate the roads safely & courteously with the added benefits of a shorter license wait time for teens & possible insurance discounts depending on the insurance provider. Classes may be taken in any order and additional driving lessons can be added at any time.

Our 8-hour safe driving course (aka 8-hour drug & alcohol safety course) fulfills the minimum driver education requirement for the state of CT. All classroom sessions are taught by a live instructor via Zoom. This course does not include any private driving lessons, but they can be purchased at any time. Classes are offered in one 8-hour day (adults only), two 4-hour days or four 2-hour days.

Driving lessons are done in 2-hour blocks and begin with the basics so that the instructor can develop a good understanding of each student’s experience, skill, knowledge and confidence. As lessons progress, the instructor will make sure that each core skill is learned before building upon it. Lessons will cover accelerating, braking, turning and parking maneuvers before graduating to lane choice, speed management, urban and rural driving, driving on hills, highway driving and mock road tests (if purchased).

Avoid the crowd & DMV headaches. Relax & test with us! Use our car, at our location, with a TNS test host on hand to answer any last-minute questions and calm nerves. We handle all of the paperwork ahead of time and the DMV agent comes to our location to evaluate students.

We offer license test appointments at our convenient locations across the State of Connecticut. Tests run every 15 minutes between 8am and 1pm. Experiencia negativa: I had a truly awful experience with this driving school and would strongly advise anyone looking for driving lessons to look elsewhere. I had an appointment scheduled and received a last-minute cancellation from them with absolutely no notice or explanation. I was understandably frustrated, but the real kicker came when I was told that I would be charged a $100 late fee just to reschedule the appointment. This is beyond unreasonable, especially considering that the cancellation was entirely their fault. No apologies, no attempt to make it right—just a cold demand for extra money. Their customer service is horrible and completely unprofessional. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that shows no regard for their customers' time or money. I understand that sometimes things come up, but the fact that they took no responsibility and instead charged me extra is completely unacceptable. I will never be using their services again, and I recommend you avoid this driving school. There are plenty of other schools out there that treat their customers with respect and don’t pull these kinds of shady practices. Terrible service and a huge waste of time and money.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that fees can be frustrating, and we want to clarify why these charges were applied. Our records show that we sent four reminders asking for the required signatures to complete your test appointment. Unfortunately, we did not receive the necessary documentation in time, and your appointment had to be canceled. This was the second time an appointment was canceled for missing information. The late cancellation held up a testing spot that could have been used by another student. As outlined in our policy, this resulted in a $60 late cancellation fee from TNS, in addition to the $40 DMV fee. These policies are in place to ensure fairness for all our customers and to cover the administrative costs of managing cancellations.

Experiencia fantástica: I would have never passed my test without the help of Nextstreet, I had Caprice, Dave, and Maria that I remember and each of them took the time to get me comfortable with backing in, changing lanes, and other things that were rusty after not driving for a while. Definitely do your road test through them!
