Experiencia negativa: This place is closed? But it still has regular hours posted. We wanted to pop in and ask a few questions, but the place was empty. So we gave the number on their website a call, maybe they moved, but the voicemail said they are closed for business.

Experiencia negativa: They only cater to those that do not speak English here so don't bother.

Experiencia fantástica: Nothing but love to the people who work for big Johns, they’re all so nice and caring and very helpful! Shot out to Matt who take care of the kids with respect!

Experiencia fantástica: As a student that went through the whole driving school experience with Big Johns I can say it was a very good experience the owner, Matt, and the other staff working. There are incredibly friendly and nice. It seems like they all truly do care about the people that they teach, and it shows,I had a great Experience with not only my testing, but my drives and my Final drive test. My final drive test was a great experience. Thanks to Matt the owner because he made it a very comfortable environment and helped me to make sure I was calm and not too nervous for the test. I think this is a great driving school and you should definitely go here!!!

Experiencia negativa: The office manager has been the one shining light in this experience. She was very prompt and on top of things. Most of my concern comes at the actual educator. We paid a significant amount for my daughter to take classes, and I was assured that they would help her understand the material and help her on the path to becoming a responsible driver. Instead what I hear and witness is mostly just the instructor telling personal stories, that the class is out of the teachers control, and that the highlight of it is getting coffee. I don't mind that my daughter failed her exam, that happens, but the lack of feedback, outreach or help was basically "you have received your $700 class, bye". It also concerns me that she has only done one drive, and has been enrolled for 2 months and actively attending classes. I would look elsewhere for your kids

Experiencia positiva: My daughter goes here currently and the office manager is amazing she helped get my daughter all signed up. She was patient and walked me through all the steps to get her all set up. The owner isn’t in office very often so I commend the office manager for working hard for all these kids and parent!

Experiencia fantástica: I love supporting small local businesses. They were very attentive and patient with my son. He drives incredibly well, but has test taking anxiety. We needed to overcome a few things to help and Big John's took the extra time with my son to build confidence and knowledge. Thank you . I couldn't possibly be my son's driving instructor. I would have caught a case! LMAO!

Experiencia negativa: It’s not worth making the time to schedule drives/classes. As seen as a 1/10, it was a nightmare to make the process. Making time and constant excuses isn’t the best when you have been waiting for WEEKS just to start a session. Highly recommend staying away from this business and going elsewhere to get work done.

Experiencia negativa: Steve if i say it nicely is NOT the best instructor. made me very uncomfortable when i was driving and was talking to me the whole time. The 2 new females in the office also don’t do nothing n never answer the phone calls. last week came in to take my knowledge test n they said i couldn’t because it was friday so I walked in today, on a Wednesday for them to tell me that their program is down. If you love your kids, DO NOTTTTT let them go here.

Experiencia negativa: I went here 2 years ago and didn’t have any issues. I came back a couple weeks ago and all the negative reviews are right. I took my knowledge test to renew it and they “lost” it. They didn’t have any “record” of me taking this test when I had taken it a couple days prior. Not to mention them canceling the Thursday before my driving test and not being willing to help me find another date or school to accommodate for this change. Overall all the negative reviews are correct and do not go here

Experiencia negativa: Horrible customer service, the driving instructor was rude and yelled at everyone he was testing, never go here they just want your money, the lady at the front desk was also rude and yelled at a costomer for asking a question, these people are not worth your time or your money be careful and pick a differrant place.

Experiencia positiva: Daughter went here a few years ago. Instructor seemed ok, price was reasonable (don't currently know cost) daughter didn't get in a wreck before leaving the state a few years later...so I guess a decent class. I do wish more(as I don't think this course does) places taught students how to drive a manual transmission car...they are relatively rare on newer cars BUT if you ever run into one you need to know how to drive one without wrecking, etc.

Experiencia negativa: Obviously all the negative reviews are true, this school is scamming people for money by falsely failing the driver skill test on multiple people so they have to come back and pay again, the instructor made mistakes by not testing hand signals or parallel parking, that was the first red flag, then after the drive he falsely marked me for turning on a yellow when in fact it was green and falsely marking me for driving slow. Don’t come here, it’s a scam! I’m in the process of filing a DOL complaint.

It appears that a child answered the phone and asked a question regarding costs, to which she replied, "Well, the rates go higher." I was not going to submit a review, but I had heard from others that they missed their driving appointments, so I did.

Experiencia negativa: Hard to impossible to schedule drives, they never answer the phone and are not clear on how to set up drives. My son was told multiple times that there weren't any spots available and now they want to charge him $300 to finish his drives up. Both my kids did classes there and both came home with outrageous stories about what was discussed in class. Sounds like the instructor is just rambling about alcohol and drug use.

Experiencia negativa: They had a habit of changing times and then we were told we were incorrect. Argumentative. Incorrect information on their website and voicemail regarding testing times. When I went in to clarify they said, oh yea that’s our old information. What??? One of the male drive instructor is very rude & intimidating. Went to another place for both the written and final drive and was much happier. Would not go back.

Experiencia negativa: There was one day where my kid came home from drivers school telling me that when she went on her drive with her driver instructors, they always keep on stressing her out when it comes to driving. When I drive with her she is completely fine and then when she drives with the instructors, they always keep raising their voices and she keeps on making mistakes due to the drivers instructors stressing her out. I would not recommend this place for your kids at all. Please take them to a better place.

Experiencia negativa: I did my classes at this place and they were fine non educated but entertaining. But there drive test was terrible. The driving instructor for the test is the only one they have and he try’s to intimidate you before and during the test, he is very rude and try’s everything to get you to fail the test. The owner of the place is very nice guy but if you take a drive test with them I guarantee you’ll fail the first time even if you do everything correctly. DON’T WASTE THE MONEY FOR THE TEST.

Experiencia positiva: When we entered into Big John's we were greeted with smile. Mr. John was very friendly and very truthful about the tests they do. I had taken my child to 2 other schools and both the other schools told us that the test was really hard and made us feel very uncomfortable. I totally recommend that other parents and teens go to Big John's because it was inviting and less stressful. Thank you Big John.

Experiencia fantástica: i took both my written test in my drivers test today I just walked in and they were able to take me. I PASSED! all the staff were so so sweet I didn’t feel nervous they made me feel more confident and when I went to take my drivers test The instructor was so good at making me feel calm and he was so funny so sweet and I was really able to focus without feeling nervous! I am 100% recommend big johns driving school because they were more than amazing!

Experiencia fantástica: The folks here are awesome! Very friendly and helpful, I was welcomed walking in the door despite the fact they were quite busy at the time. No BS, just decent, REAL people. I was kind of nervous about testing and they put me at ease with genuine conversation, smiles and good attitudes. Great prices and the customer service was way above and beyond, making this place stand out compared to the other driving schools I considered. I wish there were more than 5 stars I could give them!

Experiencia fantástica: I am a current student here! I love the people, they're all so nice and sweet. The fact they take so much time to teach so many kids is so nice. And they have their own cars to drive with breaks on the passenger's side of the car if the student doesn't stop soon enough. It's $400 to start which is actually kinda good in my opinion.

Experiencia negativa: I did my test with the man that owns this place and he was supper rude and didn’t care to tell me what curb to stop at he would just say “stop there” and i would ask to elaborate and he would sigh and get mad. This place was terrible and just made my anxiety worse.

Experiencia negativa: The instructor was actually too big to fit in my car and was really pissed and pushy about me paying another 45$ to rent one of their vehicles. He was pretty pissed about it and failed me before we even left the parking lot over me not giving them an extra 45$. Dang I never thought I would read so many bad reviews about this place though. I remember seeing the tan ford Taurus that's owned by this place after hours driving like SHI+ but I still went anyway. Don't go here.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t even try with this place! I was a student at the Camas location a couple years ago and tried getting ahold of them, but apparently the location is closed and there is nowhere online that says this. Google still has hours and a phone number with a voicemail. I tried COUNTLESS times to call the Orchards location over the course of a couple of weeks. Nearly every single time I was sent to voicemail. I tried all different times of each day. The first time I actually got ahold of them, they called me back and I then called back one minute later, no response. I was trying to get a drive test in before a specific date and by the time they actually contacted me a couple days later, they booked an ENTIRE WEEK worth of drives before someone(ME) who had been calling countless times. Another time they answered, I was put on hold for over ten minutes and they completely forgot about me. I went here because it’s where I took drivers ed, but I’m off to schedule with somewhere. This place is ansolutely ridiculous and needs to get their things straight!

Experiencia negativa: If you are looking to do the drive for your license, dont waste your money here! They will make sure you have to come back and pay several times, and make up bs to not pass you! My child was intimidated and given instructions during the test which is not alloud and then because of the instructions given got confused and they auto failed him! They were rude and refused to give us a copy of his test. Instructor was texting and on phone during the test. We blew our money here and wish we would have started at the place we ended up, centerline driving school. They were a much better experience, treated is with compassion, kindness and what do ya know he passed with a very high score immediately after 2 fails at Big Johns!

Experiencia negativa: I took drivers ed here back in 2015 and it was terrible!! Class instructor literally NEVER talked about anything related to driving and only talked about himself. They charged outrageous amounts of money and I learned NOTHING. Driving instructors were rude and offered no real advice about safe driving. I failed my driving test by 1 point because they had been teaching me the whole time to do the OPPOSITE of what I was supposed to. Finally went to Drivan’s in Longview for lessons and couldn’t believe how badly Big John’s had failed me as a school. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. They left me confused, insecure, and out hundreds of dollars for years!

Experiencia negativa: Need to teach the instructors the laws of the road. "Keep right except to pass", unless of course there's a left turn lane near, that your taking. Older female instructor, teaching a young girl to drive on 500 in the left lane at less than speed, holding up traffic at lunch time.

Experiencia negativa: Big Johns is very unprofessional. The drive instructor showed up late to my final drive twice, and they make false statements. They told me I could get my license early, because I passed all of my tests, but the DMV said I had to wait. Also they didn't teach me key information needed to drive. I don't recommend ths place to anyone, Big Johns is absolutely terrible.

It has taken my daughter 3 time longer to finish because of the mistakes they made. Could not get my last daughters final drive scheduled for over 3 weeks. They told us to go to there Camas school to finish which is 20 miles away. Just a overall bad experience. Go to 101 driving school. My Son goes there right now and they are amazing. Going to write them a review next.

All you dummies not using turn signals, jacka**'s coming across 3 Lanes of highway to take their exit AND DOPES ON PHONES ALL OVER many of you should come see Big John! Thank God there are driving schools like this to help you!

Getting your money. NOT about your safety. NOT about how you are treated. NOT about following the laws. Please take your money to someone who DOES care.

Many people complain about them on here but what they might not understand is they take everyone's safety on the road seriously and wont pass you unless you truly are ready. Experiencia negativa: Please NEVER send your children to this school.The owner doesn't report in incoming cash she pockets all of it. Most of their employees are over the age of 70.On several occasions employees have fallen asleep on students. One of their employees is a known drug dealer. Their cars are unsafe and they refuse to make changes.

She was pleasant, polite, and made my driving test experience an absolute breeze. Would recommend to any and all people needing instruction classes or tests.

Experiencia negativa: The others here have already gone into the dictator old lady examiner (seriously, the MOMENT I saw her, I knew I was gonna fail. I stayed quite because I like to keep an open mind and think "I could be wrong about her"... No, the feel from her is not a trick/lack of judgement. I'd even say it'll be easier to drive with a gun to your head. Bold claim I know, but at least they'll give proper instruction as they have something to loose too. she just sits and gives riddles. What do I mean? You need to decode her instructions. Asking for clarification is met with silence. So you're stuck guessing on what she means. As for the tutor. VERY minimalistic, even ignoring some questions too. So for warming up/learning a thing or two (literally) this place is pretty okay(ish) BUT for the test, I do not recommend unless you're a robot who can decode instructions. Also, they choose the WORST cars and they know it (even complain about it) my foot kept getting stuck on something above the brakes though that was the least of my problems as her very existence destroyed my concentration (which isn't a good mix with her not very clear instructions)
