DriveSafe Driving Schools - Greenwood Village

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback. The license test standards, and the test route, are set forth by the state of Colorado, and our drive testers are certified by the state to observe and report to those standards. DriveSafe does not design the test rules, nor do we decide the test route. The license test evaluates over 100 items that measure a driver’s skill and knowledge of legal and safe driving practices, that even seasoned, or “skilled” drivers can overlook. As a driving school, we encourage and provide professional driving instruction, not solely for the purpose of obtaining a license, but to increase students' exposure to the ever-evolving complexities of the road that will prepare our students to become safe and confident drivers for life. We recognize that no one likes to fail, but the state has designed the test to help students understand how to drive more safely. Unfortunately, during your test, you committed 26 errors, including unsafe steering techniques, improper mirror usage, and failure to check your blind spot. Additionally, you turned into the wrong lane and committed three other traffic violations, which alone will result in an automatic failure according to Colorado state standards. By law, we cannot pass a student who violates these safety requirements. Our interest is aligned with students passing but, even more so, with everyone's safety on the road. We understand your frustration with the outcome, so we encourage you to review the CO Driver's Handbook to help prepare for a successful retest: https://dmv.colorado.gov/sites/dmv/files/documents/DR_2337_Jan2025.pdf Thanks and best of luck

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We apologize for the experience you described, as it does not reflect the standards we strive to maintain. We have relayed this feedback internally and are investigating the situation to address this appropriately. Our goal is always to provide a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. Thank you and best of luck with your driving goals

Hi Matthew, thank you for your feedback. Upon reviewing your case, we confirmed the certificate was sent on the day of your initial request and was resent again weeks ago. We also followed up with a call to ensure it was received. Best of luck
