Her driving instructor was patient and friendly and she cannot say enough good things. Of special note is that my kiddo has autism and was connected with this school because of their experience working with kids who are not traditional driving students. Again, fantastic experience. Clear communication, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend.

Experiencia negativa: Every time I’ve came or called this location nobody was available. Me and my father went to the location after being told we needed to bring documents after being told it was in the system. As we were asking questions she said we only needed one thing which was not true. We had to waste more gas and time just for the young lady named Karen at the front desk to be beyond rude when answering us. If you decide to do the drivers schooling go to the mustang location because the experience here is far from worth it.

Experiencia negativa: I did not get all of the driving time I paid for!! They picked her up late and dropped her off early each time. And now, she still has very little confidence. Also, they do not teach them what they need to know for the written exam. They do not teach their students parallel parking, let alone how to pull into a parking spot and back out. I am not satisfied at all.

Second time also great but then I got sla appointment in the Yukon when I dmt live in Yukon never did I say I was. Or wanting it there . Then I was told I was sent a text ?? A no show fee bs. 150$ . And now since they didn't have enough teachers . They couldn't make my appointment . Now that there's no one wearing masks i called to set up my last drive fyi I paid the whole thing before the last drive . N today I called to set up my last drive I was told it's apparently my fault for not setting up faster .. how could I if they kept saying call again . Call again. Call again no show fee now I gotta pay 200_ $ . Then I found out one of the girl driver instructors lied about how many hrs my brother drove . I was venting to him and he told me that .. so illegal. But yeah he himself paid the so called late fee to . And my other brother as well . So I guess y'all splip some things but u can't waive this so called fee. When I feel like y'all didn't have enough employees .. so disappointed . I guess I gotta be a young man looking cute so they can lie on my hrs of driving . So wrong . But ok I guess I'll pass .. you aren't the only driving school in Oklahoma. Ridiculous.

Experiencia fantástica: I wanted to leave a review for Alert Driving school on NW 50th and N. Meridian. I wasn't asked to, I promised I would! It's a novel but I wanted to be transparent about my experience. I don't like the DMV, never have -- never will. I never had gotten my license before and I certainly did not want to take a driving test with somebody at the DMV. To be honest my confidence was pretty shot with driving. The people at the driving school are friendly and easy to get along with. Knowing I could take my driving test with a private driving school took a lot of tension off of me honestly. Silvia helped me with my emails and scheduling when I had difficulty online doing it myself. My work schedule would conflict sometimes but it was nice knowing there was someone to help if I needed it. Richard made me feel comfortable, assuring me I wasn't the first 30yr old to walk through that door. Very knowledgeable, and kind. I actually learned a lot more than I thought I would in his class. Also he made class fun, and filled with moments of participation. Larry was my in-car instructor, and he was a riot! I didn't feel like I was having to over-perform, and he showed me some really neat things along the way. It was hard not to have fun around a guy like him. Kevin was the examiner for my driving license test. He was very linear and clear about the do's and don't's of the test, but most of all very friendly. We had a lot in common I felt, and that put me at ease for my test. He made the process of getting my license in writing very easy, and shared encouraging words that helped me. I would say that this was a very viable means of obtaining my license without going through the torture of the waiting line at the DMV. Well -- except for once, but that's the "golden ticket" trip. The package I chose was the $395 package, which essentially covered just about everything except for the driver's test itself. That was a separate payment, but nothing astronomical. If there was ever an issue that I had come upon during my time with Alert Driving it was always pretty easy to correct it whether it was with somebody in that particular office, or somebody in a different area of the company. The only issue I ever encountered was scheduling my drives online. Not that it's hard to access, it just didn't load things right sometimes is all. I would just call the office instead and they were able to easily sort a date for me. There were a number of reasons limiting me from going to the DMV, one of which included the necessity of bringing your own vehicle to drive in. At Alert Driving they provide vehicles for you to drive in. Nice vehicles with back-up cameras at that! All-in-all I would say that if I were to go back and choose how to best educate myself in terms of driving and vehicle safety... I would choose Alert Driving School again. Costs some money to enroll, but really when you think about it there's a lot of benefits already in place for you -- especially if the DMV isn't your thing like myself. Everyone there is helpful and kind. Nobody's just "working" there, everyone seemed to have a story or a connection to their reason for wanting to educate others. There's also a defensive driving course to attend after you've completed your license test that I eventually plan to attend myself. Maybe this convinces somebody on the fence. If you're searching for a good, and safe alternative to a Driver's Ed. class then I definitely recommend going here. I know I wouldn't be driving today if I didn't.

Experiencia negativa: feeling conflicted. on one hand the classes are fine and most instructors are fine but they have one instructor named Todd, who does road testing with a faulty hearing aid. I say faulty because he screams in order to give instructions to the students. and they use the as an excuse as to why he talks to the students in the way that he does. I understand these are new drivers and most civilians would be nervous around them learning but screaming and then tapping them strongly on the shoulder and/or thighs is completely inappropriate and not a way to make students comfortable and confident in their driving. I tried to resolve this with the owner and all I got was a defensive and rude conversation. I wouldn't recommend this location and instructor. and to top it off they fail these students by making them uncomfortable and more nervous then they already are just to return to the office and make them reschedule and charge them more money for them to do another road test. I think its a scam.

Experiencia negativa: They are very nit picky with anything that you do. Todd told me that my motions with the car were “jerky”, your Ford Fusion is “jerky”, not me. You barely push the gas and it launches quick. The brakes are horrible, they start braking hard once your barely push the pedal. I also failed my drivers test because I hit 41mph on the speedometer in a 40 speed limit for a second! I noticed it and I immediately slowed down. It’s one thing to go 5 over and not slow down, but 41? Are you serious? Todd told me I would’ve passed if I wasn’t “speeding”. After that they told me to go to the front window to reschedule another test for another $95. I walked straight out the door lol. Wouldn’t recommend taking a test here, especially with Todd. They just want an easy cash grab.

Experiencia negativa: Overall my kid learned a lot from the classes and drives. But very poor phone answering skills at the north side. Scheduled a driving test three weeks in advance and the Thursday before the scheduled test, which was the following Tuesday I received an email that the appointment was cancelled. Never received a phone call. Finally rescheduled but had to drive across town to accommodate the appointment needs.

Experiencia negativa: We bought this course weeks ago, not realizing our grandson's driving classes would not be given during his school fall break when he was available and not in school. He was told to sign up this morning for driving practice but there are no classes still available except during his school hours which require him to miss 3 hours of school on 3 different days. Since there are no classes left during non-school hours, he will have to wait until November to get in the next set, with no guarantee that he will get a class during non-school hours plus he might have to be driving during bad weather. I am very unhappy that this schedule is so inconvenient. We did not pay $520 just so this school could screw up our grandson's school schedule.

I paid a LOT of money that we didn’t have to get my son into a class over 60 days ago, and they didn’t offer the permit test. I didn’t want to forfeit the money I paid for driving time, but DPS is scheduling 60 days out for permit test appointments. I have called numerous times and left voicemails asking about scheduling a permit test or rescheduling the driving time, and they have never returned my calls. I don’t have the time to drive across town, nor did I feel like it was a safe place to express my frustrations in person. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values good communication and professionalism. *Replies to negative Google reviews but won’t answer the phone or return voicemails. I guess we can finish this conversation here. I asked specifically if they did permit tests when I was there. They said no. I said “it says on the website…”, and the front office said they don’t. I accepted this answer because the class was cheap and well-rated. I then asked about getting a permit before or after driving, and they said he needed a permit before drive time and to use DPS. Getting a permit was never discussed with my son in class. There is OBVIOUSLY a problem with communication.

The woman on the phone actually talked over me the entire call. I wouldn’t recommend them to ANYONE.

But even though I was late, the lady at the desk was helpful and Brad was my examiner. He is hands down one of the best. He was extremely informative (in a good way), moderately lenient, and stopped me from getting nervous. He keeps the conversation going. This place is phenomenal. I recommend this to anyone who wants to get a course or just test. Skip all the inconveniences.

Experiencia negativa: I went to the driving school back in 2014-2015 it was amazing. But now I take my little brother there in March it was before everything happened. After everything open back up the front manager was so rude she do not want to communicate with you are help with nothing. My brother did 2 practice drives in May and his last practice was in July. He still not confident with taking a real driving test to get his license. I try talking to the front manager about help she really was not interested with helping me at all. Overall the school would of been amazing if everything did not shut down.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible horrible customer service from “Danielle.” Paid $120 up front for the practice drive and drivers test for my 16 year old daughter the same day. Attempted to verify all correct documents before my daughter drove from “Danielle” who said “we don’t need them.” Then after practice drive while meeting with testing instructor said “you don’t have the correct certificate.” Mind you it was the exact same certificate from the drivers ed class we used to get her learners permit directly with the DMV. Then was told we have a “no refund” policy, and she can’t test. When questioning “Danielle” why she didn’t confirm prior to driving as I asked her too, she stared at computer with a smirk and repeated again we have a “no refund policy.” Would NEVER use this place with the extremely unprofessional practice and rude responses.

From the staff to the classroom session and driving instructors, they are polite, patient and deal with everything professionally. I have 3 different driving instructors and I would recommend them to my friends. Silvia also helped me get an earlier schedule when my 2nd drive was cancelled. Mr. Dick is our classroom instructor and because we finish at 9pm he made sure all of us had our lyft/ uber ride before leaving the office.
