Welcome to American Driving Academy, Colorado’s most trusted driving school, which has served the Front Range for over 25 years. We are Colorado’s #1 drive test provider and have expertly taught hundreds of thousands of students to be safe and confident drivers. Students can start taking our in-person or online driving school classes as early as 141/2 years of age, get their permit at 15, and have their driver’s license on their 16th birthday! We also offer driving classes for adults and behind-the-wheel adult driving lessons.
American Driving Academy gives the most 3rd party driver’s license tests in the state. We test both students and non-students. After every test, we provide valuable feedback to help you on your mission to becoming a safe and licensed driver.

1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: Every instructor I interacted with was AMAZING! Not only did they make room in their schedules and offer to stay late for testing but they answered any last minute questions anyone had before their tests. My instructor Rhonda was truly AMAZING, she was calm and kept things light making it super easy to relax! She even took the time to sit down and explain what you missed and why it's important to fix it. It was an amazing experience, no wonder the DMV recommends them so highly!

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: My boyfriend had his test done today by Michell. Im sad to say it was a horrible experience. Was not paying attention to the driver and overall failed at her job as a driving instructor. She pressed on the brake during traffic when it was in no way needed. Was unsafe about how she was instructing and was just rude all together. I got my test done here 2 years ago and it was really good but since that experience I would never recommend to anyone to go back there. I'm really disappointed in this company as a whole.
Only your boyfriend was on the test, and so how do you know she was not paying attention and pressed on her brake when it was not needed? She has given thousands of tests, is state-certified, and our pass rate is over 80%. Not often do we have to hit the brake, but we are glad Michelle did to keep both herself and your boyfriend safe on the road.
1 year ago Experiencia fantástica: I took four behind-the-wheel driving lessons with Carina. She was very kind, not a strict teacher, but she always pointed out my mistakes. I felt safe with her and never judged when I made errors. I really enjoyed driving with her and learning from the best!
