Experiencia fantástica: Getting my class a CDL has been a goal of mine for the last 4 years. I was finally able to be in position to accomplish it this year. Thanks to RTDS for making it an educational and a great experience. I was nervous at first. But the instructors made sure I got all the info and as much time as possible to ease my fears. There are multiple instructors from various backgrounds with different teaching methods. This ensures that no matter who you are. Or whatever your preference in learning is. You will have someone who can accommodate and assist you. One of the best investments of time and resources I have ever made. An "advancement" in my career and opportunities. Which means an "enhancement" to my life. Thanks RTDS.

I barely came back from my military duties, and I was able to achieve success with the knowledgeable staff in class and at the training yard. My in class instructor Keith gave many tips and situational stories on top of the detailed curriculum. In the yard, Ali outlined all procedures well and answered the myriad of questions I asked with no frustration and plenty of patience. My tester Raf was professional and fair. In the end it was up to me to prepare and practice of course, but the staff assisted in every way they could. Thank you all.

I contacted this school on the recommendation of friends and have never regretted it. Only at RTDS they told me about state financial programs for the opportunity to study and get a profession. Which I took advantage of. All the employees are very friendly and try to help sort out the issues that arose during the training. Special THANKS to the owner of this institution Petr (he was always in touch and ready to consult), Dana always kept me informed of events and any changes in the educational process (she told me about the opportunity to use funding from the state) and of course Rafael - my driving instructor for his patience and experience, which he shares with us! By the way, I passed everything on the first try.

The classroom instructor Kieth was funny, personable, and well informed. My driving instructor Ali was the best! He taught us (there were 5 students in our class) how to perform the pre trip inspection, and road safety. He took the time to answer all our questions, and spent time one on one to make sure we were properly prepared for the CDL exam. While never attending any other truck driving school, I cannot compare RTDS to others. But I feel that this school got it right! The equipment was good and the classroom was equipped with the current technology. The truck simulator was a great tool as well. If you're interested in obtaining your CDL license, take a look at RTDS. They do it right.

From start to finish I was grateful for all of the guidance and knowledge that was passed down. Keith in class gave some unforgettable real life trucking instructing to prepare me for the yard. Rafeal, the yard instructor, was thorough and patient and gave me all the tools I needed to be confident behind the wheel towards my future trucking career. If your lucky you will get Ali as a tester, he's patient and clear while I was testing. NO BS this is the only trucking school in Vegas worth the money!!!

They have extensive experience in the field of cargo transportation and are always ready to answer questions and share useful tips and recommendations. This helped me a lot not only in learning the rules, but also in understanding the peculiarities of the work of a truck driver. The curriculum was well structured and covered all the necessary aspects: from driving theory to practical exercises. I appreciate that you spent time not only on the basics of driving a heavy-duty vehicle, but also on safety issues and solving unusual situations on the road. The technical base of the school also left a positive impression. The equipment was in good condition, which allowed me to study comfortably and safely. I also had practical training on different types of trucks, which was definitely an advantage. I am happy with my training and would recommend this school to anyone who wants to become a qualified truck driver. I am confident that the acquired knowledge and skills will be useful to me in the future.

Experiencia negativa: I'm not satisfied at all with the education I recieved from attending this school. Unless you're in a similar position that I was in where I had to make a choice for a school quickly, consider looking elsewhere. They charge 5,000 for a 4 week course, the intention is to do 2 weeks of "class work" and 2 weeks of driving training. The classwork is all youtube videos. You would think with that kind of a tuition, they would build their own curriculum of educational material. 5K$ for information I could have accessed at home. Their 2nd week consists of you going through an online driver training course called ELDT. Entry Level Driver Training. They will assist you in passing the required chapter tests in 2 days, leaving you with 3 days to do.... nothing. Sit and wait until the first week of driving training, where you will be behind the wheel at the truck "yard." Another quick tip, don't do this school in the summer. The yard has no protection from the sun. Completed my training in the middle of August. On the topic of the driving training, while I enjoyed my instructor as a person, as a teacher he could have been more involved noticing that some students need different things. All of us struggled with a different component in the skills section (backing the trailer) or the road driving (driving the vehicle on city streets.) This isn't a mark on the instructors, they are just doing what the school tells them. My instructor explained he doesn't like to hover over people and make them nervous, causing them to make mistakes. But teaching is an art in itself, different approaches for different people who learn differently. I think if they asked "what do you find the most trouble with" and walked us through it carefully, I'd feel different. Lastly. The cdl test itself was scheduled a week after we finished our 2 week driving training. Plenty of time to become just rusty enough that backing skills, driving techniques like downshifting, or pre-trip inspection components could be missed on your big test. A week? Seriously? Oh, and don't think you get 1 free retry if you fail your first time. That'll be 300$ please. Each time if you need to take the test again. And 4 days after the 300$ is paid, just to really ensure you can't remember some things about backing or driving that could cost you the next test. Need more backing practice? That'll be 200$. You should be on the truck every day up until the day you test. That's just logical. The only reason I went with these guys is I thought they were offering quality education at a more fair price with the hazmat training they included that other schools dont. More than likely, your first job will offer to put you through hazmat training and reimbursement use you for the test. I would say ask diligent questions, but they have to fill seats in their course so they probably won't be transparent with you.

I never thought I would be able to drive such a big tractor trailer as being small, short women, but Ali and Raphael are great instructors.
