Fantastic experience: Great Drivers Ed class. I’ve had 2 kids go through this program. Marvin Smith Driving School has prepared them to be safe reliable drivers. Highly recommended this program for your teens. 5 Stars.

Negative experience: My daughter graduated from this course two years ago and due to an illness was not prepared to take her driver's license. Now I simply asked the Marvin's driving school for proof of her certificate. They said they don't have it nor are they obligated to provide it. They said they give one original copy and that's it. Wow. Don't go to this driving school.

Fantastic experience: A review from my child who was the student. I would just like to say that Mrs. Lockamy was a wonderful teacher and made me feel prepared for driving. She was funny and enthusiastic about what she was teaching and made me look forward to coming to class each day. Mr Hobbs was a joy to drive with and he made me feel completely relaxed while behind the wheel. My review: Mr. and Mrs Smith are very responsive, friendly and professional. I had direct contact with Mr. Hobbs and he is delightful! He is an asset to the driving school. He is very personable and professional. His calm demeanor helped my daughter be more at ease behind the wheel. I was completely comfortable having him drive with her this week. I will be more than happy to recommend this driving school in the future!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely recommend any child ready for drivers ed to go through Marvin Smith! My child was able to do it during the summer and it was great. The teacher was great with the children and went over everything to get them prepared to drive. When it came time to actually drive, the lady my child had was amazing! She was so kind and helped with driving so much. When it came time to get the permit, my child passed the test with no problem. I 100% recommend Marvin Smith, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: After going around in circles with my son's high school for two months trying to get his 6 hours of driving time, I gave up and called Marvin's Driving School on a whim. They lined me up with Mr. Dale right away and Im happy to say that my son takes his permit test on Tuesday... FINALLY! They are awesome and I'm so glad we used them. Terrific experience.

Fantastic experience: I live in Charlotte and my daughter took the classroom portion of drivers ed through CMS in January 2021. They had no idea when they we’re going to get to her for BTW and the other three driving schools I spoke to told me it wouldn’t be until the end of the summer. So I looked in surrounding communities and found Marvin Smith. They booked her immediately and we finished BTW in one weekend. I met Marvin and he’s a first class individual and so was Mrs. Terry, the instructor. They solved a very big problem for me, my daughter will now get her license months earlier than through the regular Charlotte pipeline. The drive to Albermarle was about 60 miles, but it was worth it in every way.
