AAA Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Mr Kerr is the best driving instructor anyone could ask for. I wish he was my driving instructor back in the day. I highly recommend any parent or student to book with him for the best in car experience, clear instructions, and constructive feedback.
Fantastic experience: We used this service for our son to prepare for his DMV driving test. He really enjoyed the lessons and learned a lot from the instructors. He just took driving test and passed with a perfect score. He said that the AAA Driving School classes prepared him well.
Fantastic experience: My son took driving lessons from AAA and his instructor was Brian Kerr. Instructor was phenomenal and has mentored my son really well, teaching him fundamentals or driving and how to be safe on the road. Brian’s expertise were instrumental in teaching my son most important things, such as safety, and also mentoring him how to be good and proactive driver. Very pleased to have had Brian as my son’s instructor, if you get a chance to pick, Brian is the one.
Fantastic experience: Brian Kerr is a sharp and competent instructor!
Fantastic experience: We were very happy with AAA driving school Brian Kerr in Encinitas was very knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: We appreciated the AAA driving school instructors - particularly in Poway! Jessica Jones is a terrific instructor, simplifies everything, empowers her students and is a real confidence booster for the student and parent during the learning process.
Negative experience: Don't waste your time with the AAA driving school if you live in the Encinitas/N. SD County Coastal area! As of this review, there are no reasonable appointment times for BTW training for teens in school, unless you're willing to wait several months between lessons (which are only one hour each, instead of two hours like most schools, so good luck scheduling six one-hour lessons within the six month permit period), or you're willing to pull your teen out of school for training (not ideal). Also note that they charge a hefty fee for cancellations, so buyer beware. Unfortunately, we pre-paid for all of our training, which was a huge mistake because by the time we got around to BTW training, we of course missed the 3-day cancellation window and then got fined for cancelling, although they had no availability so we had no choice BUT to cancel. Argh. Lesson learned. The online school (30-hour on-demand training) was ok, although my teen didn't feel well prepared for the DMV written test so we needed to pay a third party website to access better quality practice tests. There are many other offerings for BTW training in the N. SD County area - I would highly recommend seeking those out and avoiding AAA!
