Quality Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Super responsive + good interactions w their team. Would learn with them again
Negative experience: Worst experience EVER! My first two kids went to Parkside and we had no problems. However, when it came time for my youngest to go, covid hit and we had to postpone it until he was almost 18. We chose this school because they had a class that could get him in sooner than the other school. Biggest mistake ever. All classes were on zoom (no complaints about that except that kids were all back at school at this time but wearing masks) and usually consisted of ten minutes of genuine instruction followed by a bunch of story telling by the instructor or an online "worksheet" for the remainder of the class. Instructor couldn't work anything within the technology and had to constantly call someone else to make thing work right. Instructor also forgot to mute herself during the "worksheet" time and my son was forced to listen to all of her conversations and EVERYTHING that was said behind the scenes. It only got worse. Scheduling drives was a nightmare. They were extremely behind with their previous classes because of covid but kept starting new classes instead of catching up with the previous ones. And, once i was able to schedule them, i kept getting phone calls and texts stating that they needed me to call because they were unsure as to whether or not they had actually scheduled them with us. Because of this, my sons class and drives were stretched out for over 6 months. However, we didn't make it to the full six months. Because my son was now 18, he was legally allowed to take his written test without completing drivers ed. Once he did so, all drives after that were cancelled. When I asked why I was told that that was just how they did it. Once a student took their written test they could no longer do drives with the instructor. When I asked if we were going to give a partial refund for the drives we paid for and never received, I received a flat "no". That was not their policy and they weren't going to give us any money back for the services we paid for but did not receive. To say I was angry, would be a complete understatement! This is not only poor business practice but as shady as shady can be. I Don NOT recommend this school to anyone. If I could give negative stars, I would!
Fantastic experience: My son had a great experience learning to drive with Quality Driving school. They are great with scheduling, quick to communicate, and they rolled with changes during quarantine. He was really comfortable with Adam, his driving instructor and has become a very good driver thanks to his classes with Quality!
Fantastic experience: The driving instructor was an amazing person learned what I already knew but over all was a good place and affordable learned a lot in the actual driving process the class room was small but everyone was pretty friendly and over all the school was good and the instructor helped a lot! Also I see that some parents or other older people who attend his school might think that the instructor likes to impress 15/16 year olds instead of teaching them week I believe that is not very true I know that in this generation teens are hard to talk to so I believe that the instructor likes to try and get to know the kids and relate to them and find a way to stress them a bit less even though not a lot of parents or people see it that way but again the instructor is very nice and helpful with everything and he works around people's busy schedules and again I believe this is a wonderful school :)
Negative experience: This teacher is more concerned about entertaining a bunch of 15/16 year olds and talking about inappropriate topics than teaching his students. HORRIBLE drivers school. I do not recommend.
Negative experience: I reviewed this previously and after some time and thought realized I may have been too harsh, for that I am sorry. Here is my edited review. Quality Driving School was the cheapest in town and they were the only school in which the class schedule fit our schedule. The instructor seemed more concerned with telling stories and impressing a bunch of 15 year-olds instead of teaching them how to drive. The class room was small and did not seem very clean. Drive scheduling was fine at first. But once the snow hit the instructor refused to do any more drives even after the snow had cleared and the roads were safe. We wouldn't risk our child's life any more than the instructor would risk his own. We tried to contact the instructor via text (his preferred method) three different times for the final drive test and didn't get any response. We had to call the Pasco location to complete the final drive test. We have another kid who turns 15 this year and they will not be going to Quality Driving School. Finally, we do not appreciate the posting of our son's name in the response to my first review. That was not cool, no matter how harsh my first review was.
