FIVE STAR DRIVING ACADEMY LLC: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Our son Matt took his driving instructions at 5 star and had a great experience. Very patient and professional staff. Also just wanted to say thank you to Mike, Leslie, and everyone at 5 star that my mother Linda Poe worked with for many years. Mike did not charge us a penny for my son to take his driving instructions there in order to honor our mother. You guys didn't have to do that but we very much appreciate it. She would be proud of all you. Thank you!! Tony Poe.
Thanks
Fantastic experience: My oldest recently did his driving with Bonnie. She is absolutely professional, patient and ensures to work on areas of weaknesses. We were lucky to have her as our son’s instructor and thankful for transforming him into a confident driver on the road. We have 2 more that will be seeking her instructions in the future.
Thank you for your survey and yes she does a great job and will relay to her your feelings
Fantastic experience: My oldest daughter completed her driving requirements with this school and her experience was amazing. Mike made her very comfortable which in turn made me very comfortable. It’s a interesting experience as a parent having to trust someone, you’ve only just met, with such precious cargo so being able to do so confidently is priceless. They went above and beyond to work with us. We needed to get her drives completed while working around school, work, and athletics which seemed like it was gonna be impossible but they made every effort to make this happen even allowing her final drive to end by her meeting her volleyball team all the way in Fayetteville at a tournament. I highly recommend this driving academy and I plan to return for my youngest daughter to complete her drives there as well!
Thanks just doing what is the right thing to do
Negative experience: Edited to add: When we signed up IN NOVEMBER the lady told us our daughter only needed her TWO HOUR certificate to drive, which she had. The online driving school also states “May begin in-car driving after first two hour lesson.” The lady assured me this was all accurate and that our daughter would be scheduled soon because she was free during school hours. No one from the school ever called me ONCE. “Mike” texted me one conversation on MARCH 6th and said we needed to complete the entire course first. I told him that wasn’t what was agreed upon, and he just kept saying she had to complete the online course which she had mostly completed. We signed up beginning of November, were told she would be driving by the end of the year, but they didn’t contact us until March, less than a month before she turned 18. Those texts were the ONLY communication I received after signing her up, in spite of my leaving them repeated messages. If they had held up their end to have her in car after her two hour certificate she would have knocked out the rest of the online classes within a week and be driving sooner when I needed her to. Saying I am in breech of contract after they broke a verbal agreement is rich. Original post: Took our money. Never scheduled our daughter to drive. Eventually she turned 18 and passed the exam without any in car or instruction from them. All contact trying to get a refund has been ignored.
I called several times to schedule her daughter her daughter never finished for 24 hour online class I tried and tried and she still did not complete and then she turned 18 and her mom wanted to break the contract I sent out a refund and It got returns and I just sent out another one for broken contract refund but was not the driving schools issue it was the student and parents issue of not completing what they need done.
Negative experience: I arrived 2 hours early to sign my daughter was first in line my daughter had game at 5:00. Lady opens doors & calls two names they went ahead of everyone else because there sons had games. I was told on the phone when I called first come first served . I replied I have game & I arrived early how’s this fair? When the Father left he was in parking lot calling me horrible names. Not sure WHY BECAUSE THEY TOOK HIM FIRST! VERY UNORGANIZED & UNPROFESSIONAL
The 2 people that was called and front of her asked prior to the registration that they had prior engagements if they could get in and get out 1st and this mother did not do that if she did we woulda worked out the same arrangements for her we try to take care of everybody the best we can and she was in-and-out within 20 minutes of opening the doors but she was just mad because there was 2 people that got in Front of her and again I am sorry we try to help everybody the best we can
Fantastic experience: Arrived. 2 hours early to be first in line to sign my daughter up. 22 days later they still have not reached out to schedule her driving time. Did take a long time to schedule but the people were very friendly even with the stress of covid. Also having all your online class done not just the 2 hours will prioritize you apparently.
And was told when was signing up that it could be 4 to 6 weeks before they would even be called and we was trying to do the best known that we had previous students signed up before their student And everyone there was told I was standing there
Negative experience: I realize they are busy. I signed up my son in July. I was told he would be driving by the second week of August. After leaving several messages they finally called me back. They told me he would be driving the next week. It didn’t happen they WILL NOT return my calls now. Don’t go there bad service bad business.
The policy of the driving school is we never promise what time or how long it will take to finish driving if they have their 24 hour Certificate and we tell everybody if they have everything that they need to drive we Try to get everyone done in 6 weeks and there are cases Where it will take a little longer but we don't promise we tell him we try our best to do and we generally do we only take what we can get done within 6 to 8 weeks that is our policy
Negative experience: I signed my child up over a month ago and still havent heard anything. My sister also signed my niece up same day and hasnt heard anything. We have both called and left several messages and no one has returned any of our calls. And we just found out that my child's friend, who signed up after both our children, has been scheduled to drive. I even stopped in during business hours today, front door was unlocked but no one was there to talk to. I understand they are backed up due to virus but I'm just asking for a return call to make sure our children were not lost in the shuffle.
When we do sign UPS we tell everyone that we will get with them when we are ready to drive it could take up to 6 to 8 weeks to get it all completed and we do not have any which way to pick who's driving It is random and sometimes it's in zones of where we are driving not everybody can be the 1st person to drive And we try to let everyone know that.
Fantastic experience: Thanks Magic Mike!
Thanks
