IITR Truck School

Fantastic experience: When I finally decided to get my CDL, a friend, Tony O., recommended IITR in Redmond. When I first called, I spoke with Krista H., who was very helpful and responsive through emails and phone calls. Unfortunately, once my deposit was paid and the contract was signed, communication completely stopped. After reading other reviews, I don't believe much will be done about that issue. That said, once you get through the initial process, the training itself is excellent. Corey is a great instructor with a lot of experience and knowledge. Tony is patient, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. His explanations were clear, concise, and easy to understand, and his teaching style made a huge difference for me. Honestly, I don't think I could have done it without these two instructors. Despite the issues at the beginning, I would still highly recommend IITR because of the quality of instruction. Thank you, Corey and Tony, for making this possible.

Fantastic experience: The training i got for my class A CDL was priceless. The instructors there were very informative and helpful. I got most of my training behind the wheel from Tony. All of the instructors were helpful but Tony really stood out on the advice and patience that made it possible to pass my test with ease. Id highly recommend that school to anyone looking for a class A or B CDL.

Fantastic experience: Cory and Tony are top notch instructors and all around great guys. Always patient, helpful and knowledgeable. They and the program not only give you the tools to become a good driver, but prepare you well to succeed in the industry. I spent the whole month worrying about passing the state test, but I was so well prepared by the end of the course, the exam was actually a breeze! You’re in good hands at IITR.

Fantastic experience: I was required to attend ITTR Truck School as a work requirement. I had never desired to drive truck before and was very apprehensive at first. I didn’t feel like I had a lot of great prerequisites coming into the school which made me incredibly anxious when I started getting in the driver seat. Tony and Corey do an outstanding job with their instructing and even more so making you feel comfortable enough to turn a high stress environment into a learning space. I did not think I would make it half way through the class. Not only did I pass, I passed with a pretty good score. Thank you Tony and Corey for getting me there. I would recommend this class to anyone and to all learning types.

Negative experience: Not a student and did not go to truck school here. But am a cdl driver and to day on veteran way there trucks were out and I really belive that the female instructor that was in the truck is doing a below poor job on teaching they were getting ready to pull out onto the road out of the vfw driver stopped and could clearly see that a pickup truck was headed toward them so looked like they were going to wait. But nope pulled out and the pickup truck had to come to a complete stop to wait for them. Mind you there was not another vehicle in sight. The moral of the story is that the trainer in that truck is adding to the problem with all the bad drivers that are getting a cdl and and going out on the road . As instructors be better do better if you can't then choose a different profession as you are obviously not a professional

Positive experience: Had Good time. It’s a lot to absorb in quick time. Class will be over before you know it. Tony is a great diving instructor and a positive person . Cory has a lot of responsibilities. I would have liked to drive more with him. It’s nice to see different techniques. Would recommend this school. Would like to see more funding to help with maintaining vehicle’s.

Positive experience: As a 18 year old getting into the real world Tony was a number one help in all my struggles and my growths. He’s great he is friendly and helpfull all the way. Great experience.

Fantastic experience: Took the Class B course at the Redmond location and completed my Class B CDL licensure. Tony and Corey are great instructors who are clearly invested in the success of their students! They know the industry, the trucks, and the licensing process through and through.

Fantastic experience: I had been thinking for a while, about making a career change into the trucking industry. Got my money together and took a leap from my construction job and into their program. From Krista and her timely help with getting me into the school (and working with me through some DMV obstacles) Corey, with his experience and way of explaining things to help you get it. Tony (who we spent most our time learning from) What a patient dude, a heart of gold and a genuine ‘want’ to help you get better. He’ll help you lock into the best you can be, so you can get what your looking for in this program. I just passed my CDL test today and am super glad I went with these guys. I would definitely recommend IITR. Looking forward to unlocking a better earning potential and gaining my own experience in the trucking field

Fantastic experience: Great experience did a lot of my training with Tony, he prepared me wonderfully and took extra time to assure I understood everything he was teaching could not have passed with out Tony’s guidance

Fantastic experience: These guys were able to set me up with a drive test on real short notice, and got me trained up on driving manually. Definetely recommend Tony as an instructor; very informative and very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I found the school to be very exceptional. I intended back in 2010. I’ve had a 15 year career now I’m enjoying it been with Costco over the past five years couldn’t have done it without IITR

Positive experience: Was able to learn what I needed to in order to get my CDL. Plenty of yard time available to practice with the equipment. Corey and Tony were great, and Tony's calm demeanor and attitude made it a very comfortable process.

Positive experience: For me, enrolling in IITR was a great step in advancing my career as a driver. The enrollment process was not the best, and from what I have heard of other students experiences, rather difficult. Krista does not do her job very well, and I am surprised she is kept on for how poorly she does her job. Once I did get started with the training, I was very quickly impressed with the instructors. One of the instructors stood out to me immediately, Tony. He is very passionate about teaching the students everything he knows. I could tell he was going to be a great instructor by how he taught, how he listened to feedback, and how he acted on that feedback. If it wasn't for Tony, I would not have enjoyed the class as much as I did. He is a fantastic instructor, and IITR is blessed to have him on their team.

Fantastic experience: At first I was a little nervous about taking the class. But I am so glad I did!!! The instructors have such a good grasp on how to teach and train a nervous person. Especially Tony, that guy has such a calming way about him. Very professional and extremely well rounded teachers. Thank you guys so much!! I feel like I've gained more than just a career! Friends for life!! What an outstanding school.

Fantastic experience: I recently graduated from the IITR Truck School and wanted to share my experience. The class only had myself and another student so we definitely had enough time to get all of our drives in and practice maneuvers as much as we wanted to. Both of the instructors were very knowledgeable and very easy to get along with. The instructor that really stood out and I was able to learn confidently from was Tony. He is a great instructor and showed he genuinely cared about his students success and learning. It was unfortunate that he was not able to be at the school full-time due to the small class size. I would highly recommend that any students that attend IITR try to spend as much time as they can with Tony!!!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic school. They teach you what you need to know. whatever you ask, they will answer. Corey, Tony, and Ken were great instructors. There was no problem getting my drive time. Everyone got the same amount of drive time, so there were no issues. There were 8 of us in the class and it was a perfect amount. Any more, and it would have been too crowded, i feel like.

Fantastic experience: Great school. Very attentive to what each student needs for success. Corey is very knowledgeable, helpful, and a great instructor. NO sitting behind a computer. It is all hands on. First week we were behind the wheel of a tractor and trailer on the road. We all got an hour drive every day until our 10 drives were over then last week is hands in training in the yard and testing. When we were not driving on the road we were in the yard practicing backup maneuvers. There is a lot to remember for the final CDL exam but once you have done it first hand you know the answers. Loved IITR!!!!

Negative experience: Impossible to get a hold of them.Ph# mail box full nobody ever picks up.E mails aren't answered.Attempted to text still no response Im assuming their closed or their staff is so completely incompetent that they just simply dont care if they get any business at all.

Negative experience: FIND ANOTHER WAY TO GET YOUR CDL! The instructor Corey admitted "our trucks don't work" after the truck I practiced in broke the day before testing day. He wasted the entire first day explaining his gallbladder issue, even drawing a diagram on the board. This school's business model is to spend as little as possible, and waste as much of your time as they can. I wish I could give this place negative stars.

Fantastic experience: I went to school here in Clackamas Oregon. But I took there class along time ago.I stayed in a small apartment by the freeway. I started on night class and then went to days. Everyone was great. We trained in a dirt yard.I can't remember my trainer name in the class room and for the road. They where all great people. I would recommend IITR to anyone out there. Had alot of great memories. I am retired from driving trucks do to my health but I still miss it. Some day I hope too stop in to IITR and say HELLO. Thank you IITR. HAROLD

Fantastic experience: Showed up knowing nothing about truck driving. Left a month later with CDL A Couldn't ask for a better school. Instructors are awesome and will teach you everything you need to know. Great school.

Fantastic experience: Great school, if you need a CDL, I would recommend making arrangements to stay in Redmond for the 5 weeks, I attended IITR in Creswell, Oregon and I couldn’t have been happier with my training. I walked in the door with zero experience, I walked out a licensed driver and went directly to work for the company I still work for, that was three years ago. This is a super bunch of great and passionate instructors.

Negative experience: Went there in 2029 and had another family meme we go there recently. Ken the main instructor is very bad at his job. He would would rather tell stories and make fun of you for learning than actually teach. He is by far the worst instructor I’ve ever had. Unprofessional and extremely ignorant

Fantastic experience: Easy going abs helpful

Negative experience: I took the training here in 2018. I had zero experience in manual transmission. They just let me on the truck and tell me to back off with out trainer fro the first time. The space is so so small that you can’t even have a enough space to back off or drive fwd. I had to pay 2000 for 2 week of class. I am proud now at Titan Transfer llc. I know what I am doing and and they explain every detail about driving. The class is so full that u don’t have chance to drive 30 min a day.I would recommend don’t waste your time and money here.

Fantastic experience: Great instructor and small classroom size. Excellent classroom materials and hands on instructors for new and seasoned truck drivers.
