Old National Road Driving Institute: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Great experience for my 15-yr-old. I have every confidence they have prepared him for his driver's test coming up very soon! Professional and friendly.
Fantastic experience: Very pleased mom here!! I wanted my daughter in an in person for her learning style and to ensure she was engaged in the learning. She even had tried to take the permit test a couple times before the class once she had her enrollment form and didn't pass. She really enjoyed the class, took the permit test the day after classes ended and passed! Thank you for teaching and preparing her well for such a big milestone!
Negative experience: My sister came in for her drivers test. She is 16 years old. She had a driving instructor a couple weeks ago. She can’t remember her name but it was a woman. She was very kind and very helpful. My sister went back today for her final driving test. She got a driving instructor named Eric. He was cussing and being extremely rude. Not helpful at all. Especially for a 16 year old who’s taking her first driving test to get her license. I am disappointed with what I was told. Do better.
We will talk to this instructor and make sure what he is saying is appropriate. Thanks for your comments
Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed the online learning, I have not been behind the wheel yet, but I feel like I understand more than, when I started. The people who are in control of the email respond really fast, i can always expect them within 24 Hrs, mainly less! If you stick to this and pay attention, you will go through this fast! I finished in 10 days. I enjoyed if I failed a test, I could go back and look at the questions I got wrong, or just reveiw the whole lesson! Over all the online portion is not only fun, but you learn a lot, and you can get it done in a short amout of time.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience! I’ve had 2 kids go through this Drivers Education program! They make it so easy for the student driver and parents! Your student driver can even take the drivers test with one of their driving educators!
Positive experience: A lot of the teachers are pretty great, but they do need to work on their examples and analogies as they can be hard to understand and hard to see the real point, one went on and on about keeping eyes up when turning and have multiple analogies to try to help, but after the session it still wasn’t clear where exactly I should be looking and when, even though that was the entire point of the lecture. before we even started that drive he took me to this goofy room to try to explain where I should look, the combination of unclear questions and the desire for an absolute answer made the whole thing very frustrating, and when I ask him for direct instructions or even a suggestion as to what I should do to imply skipping over the nonsense he replies with, “I'm asking the questions here” which simply doesn't help. No doubt there are good teachers in this school, and from my short experience with them they have done a good job teaching the basics and what you should practice, but some could be better by being more concise with their teachings, it would make your words more valuable and in turn better to remember which is crucial when going back to practice.
I am sorry you feel this way. We do our absolute best to help students become the best drivers they can be, in the 6 hours of instruction that we have with you. I have been teaching drivers ed over 25 years, and have used the same analogies with 100's of successful students. Sometimes, students don't want to listen, as they may thing our analogies are useless and not helpful. The "goofy" room you refer to, is in fact our classroom where hours of learning take place on a yearly basis. We used the "goofy" room, in hopes that maybe a visual would be helpful, since you weren't understanding where you were to be looking while driving. You have had 4 different instructors all teaching the same thing, but in their own way, and you are still having trouble understanding. I have seen this problem before with other students when they don't want to listen, as they think they already "know" what they are doing is correct. Practicing what you are taught during each lesson is what will make you a successful driver. If you choose not to listen to our analogies, or feel that our teachings are nonsense, then you are probably wasting your time. We are here to help students become successful..but you have to be willing to be receptive to our teachings.
Fantastic experience: Great place to take your teenager to learn how to drive. Local family owned business that is customer service driven.
Negative experience: All this school does is take your money. Its not a good driving school.
Fantastic experience: This Driving School is very informative and offered lots of help. I also had lots of fun with the other students. The Instructor was very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Had a lot of fun during Drivers Ed. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great place for options for Drivers Ed if not offered at your high school anymore.
