Marietta/Cobb Driver's Education: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Mr Jones did an awesome job teaching my daughter and the staff assistance was amazing!
Fantastic experience: My child took driving school, driving lessons, and his driving test here. The staff was friendly and so responsive. Great experience and I recommend them to everyone!
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this program to anyone with a new driver. The in-class instruction led by Mr. House was engaging and informative and according to my 16 year old twin boys, “really not that bad.” You know this is a WIN if you have teenagers. We also took the driver’s test thru their program and I was pleasantly surprised with the kindness and encouragement. It was a warm experience compared to the DMV which helped relieve any feelings of anxiety for my boys. 10/10!!
Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend! Instructor David Jones was great and really helped prepare my daughter for the road test!
Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience with Cobb Drivers Ed everyone i have met has been so nice and very helpful.
Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate your kind words!
Fantastic experience: David is an outstanding instructor! He not only gave our son the skills and experience he needed to be a safe and confident driver, but also made the entire learning process enjoyable and stress-free. His patience, clear instruction, and calm approach helped ease our worries as parents. Thanks to David, our son now feels ready for the road, understands safe driving habits, and has the confidence to handle real-world traffic situations. We couldn’t be happier with the results—David truly goes above and beyond to prepare young drivers for success and peace of mind for their families.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We will be sure to share your kind words with David. Thank you for trusting our program.

It was a pleasure to support your student’s driver education. Thank you for your thoughtful review!
Negative experience: I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE GOING TO ANOTHER DRIVING SCHOOL!! :) I'm writing this review, 8 years after my experience here in 2016 when starting out as a student driver and I still remember the miserable experience I had with my driving instructor. Let me tell you, it takes A LOT to have to remember something 8 years down the road when I was not as open to speaking up about things I saw done wrong until now. 1. My driving instructor would make me drive to the nearby gas station by the school, park, and go inside to refill her ice cup. Imagine paying a driving instructor and having your session wasted. 2. Getting to know your driving instructor is something that's bound to happen when you're in a car together for 6 hours. Getting asked if my mom had an education and critiquing her English, questioning if she's well-deserving of her job saying "I hope she has an education if she's building planes for our country." is condescending, discriminating, and flat out rude. 3. The most ironic part was that the gas tank was empty when I started my last 2-hour session. We ran out of gas, had to get picked up by some stranger on the road, go to their house to get a gas cannister, get driven to a nearby Quiktrip, and then come back 30 minutes late and I was blamed for "not paying enough attention to the gauge" and that it was my fault I was late for the student with the next session. I'm pretty sure if I spoke up that this lady would have lost her job for putting a minor's safety in danger as I was 16 at that time lol. At the end of the day, I didn't say anything because I was new to driving but looking back at how much we paid and how my mom still gave a card to you, MISS PEGGY, that you should stick to your middle school teaching and stop trying to make some extra change during the summer.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It is our hope that our program has only a positive lasting impact on our students. While the instructor mentioned has not been part of our program for over six years, and our current team was not here at that time, we take every piece of feedback seriously. Our staff is deeply committed to creating a positive, encouraging, and high-quality experience for all participants. What you described does not reflect the supportive environment we strive to create and maintain for our students. We genuinely value your feedback regarding this incident that happened many years ago and we hope you’ll see the difference if you choose to engage with us again.
Fantastic experience: Very good service. I am very confident my son is prepared for the road.
We’re so glad to have played a role in your student’s learning—we truly appreciate your kind review.
Fantastic experience: The people, and service is great. I highly recommend the program for teen drivers, it gives parents like myself a peace of mind.
Your feedback means a lot to us. We’re grateful you trusted our team with your student’s instruction.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience! Driving instructors were very knowledgeable and easy to schedule with.
We’re so pleased to hear this! Thank you for choosing us for your student’s instruction.
Positive experience: UPDATE: They helped the situation and approved my daughter's past work that their system change deleted and allowed her to begin the in-person/behind the wheel portion of the test to begin. We're so thankful! Original 1-star review now updated to 4-stars. This is an email I received today after my daughter successfully completed MANY online Driver's Ed tests towards course completion. I was told my daughter now has to start from day one after many months taking their courses. This is NOT ok. Email From Marietta/Cobb Driver's Ed: (2/27/25) "Our online provider, American Safety Council, has transitioned their curriculum to a new platform. As a result of the move, students who did not complete the course in the previous system are now required to complete it on the new platform. Any work completed in the previous system was lost and students are required to start the course over from the beginning. We truly apologize for the inconvenience." This is unacceptable for parents who have spent money and for students who have spent hours working towards course completion.
Hi Ms. Markay, Unfortunately, we had no control over this transition and spent days advocating on behalf of our students. While we were unable to convince the American Safety Council to allow students to pick up in the new portal at the point of their previous progress, we were able to provide our students access to the new portal at no additional cost. We remain committed to supporting our students throughout this process and are here to assist with any questions or challenges they may face moving forward.
Fantastic experience: Thank you Mr. Faheem and the Marietta Driving School!! Your professionalism and expertise was top notch! The experience was great, from the driving lessons to the testing. A huge thank you to Mr. Faheem!
Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad you chose us for your student’s driver education and road testing!
Fantastic experience: Was an amazing experience and Mr. John House was professional, very informative, made my daughter feel comfortable and confident. My experience was a great and money well spent. When we tried Act 1 in Sandy springs was not good !!! Thanks Mr.House for and Marietta/cobb drivers education!
Thank you so much for your kind words Ms. Coleman! We're thrilled to hear that you had an amazing experience with Mr. John House. We truly appreciate your feedback and are grateful for your trust in our services. Thank you for choosing Marietta/Cobb Driver's Education! Safe driving ahead!
Negative experience: I do not recommend sending your young one to this school. It is the Great Value brand of driving schools. My daughter did not learn anything other than how to not get pulled over. We ended up sending her to another driving school. Total waste of money!
Hello Mr. House, We have checked our enrollment records and have no registrations from your household. Please email us at [email protected] so that we can help you find the right company for which to leave this review. Thank you.
Negative experience: My daughter completed her driver's ed through Marietta/Cobb Driver's ed a few years ago & it was great so we signed my son up this year. We have not been impressed with the in-person teacher or the 6-hour behind the wheel instructor. The in person instructor gave the students so much work! My son came home with 18 pages of notes & they had to do 2 projects in the class! The 6 hour behind the wheel instructor has been rude & slow to respond to emails/calls. If we had it to do over we would've spent a little more money for one of the other schools such as Taggart Driving School or West Metro Driving School. We have friends who used them & were very pleased.
Negative experience: Don't do it! Unprofessional, incompetent instructors giving instructions. if you received the scholarship from the state please find somewhere else for your child. Without the scholarship, it's impossible for this ppl to stay in business. After they collect our scholarship, did the 30 hr Joshua's law, they didn't bother to contact us for months, then when they did, they said they're behind for months and in our case we just have to pay out of pocket to a new company for child to get his license. They claim they're back up but they're just busy collecting scholarships knowing their calendar is backed up. Another scam using children to collect from the state and their parents. Lesson learned.
Negative experience: We paid hundreds of dollars for an online course and 6 hours of driving lessons. She had to complete the course before doing the driving lessons. She had medical issues so couldn't take the test for 8months. When we get to the dds office, no record of her classes. We reached out to the school and took multiple tries and when we did, they have no record of her!!!! They provided me a number and no assistance with getting her records. This is a nightmare!
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. Great drivers program and instructors for high school students.
Negative experience: Terrible experiences BEFORE COVID-19 closures. I just found time to review and warn others...This place needs new management or to just close up shop. Poor quality, not professional, poor value. Company is notorious for making excuses, yet fails repeatedly to actually improve anything. Never trust people/businesses that refuse to take accountability. They don’t care and just want your money.
Anoia Jones,
We are very sorry to hear you had a negative experience with our driving program. Unfortunately with all of the school closure requirements due to COVID-19, we were also required to temporarily postpone/cancel all driving instruction. We do understand the closures have caused hardships for all of our customers and hope to begin resuming limited services very soon. Please let us know how we can better serve you and your student as move forward towards resuming services. (We did attempt to look for your student in our files so we could reach out to you directly, but were unsuccessful.)
Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Negative experience: EDIT: Unfortunately the person I saw was not a janitor. It was your staff member. As I stated before I live nearby, I stopped by again and saw this person, the very same poor attitude and unkind actions were being displayed, which is sad. I have no need for any additional information about your company. I have moved forward and started my youth at a facility with the same customer care standards and values as my company. Good day. Not only do I live nearby, but I also run a non-profit for youth. I could not find detailed information about place so I stopped by after work. It was the WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I will NOT be bringing my youth here. I understand and respect that the business was closing for the day, but if you are IN the building, potential customers SEE you, AND you do NOT have hours posted online, then... customer service can make a big difference in your business. Don't be hateful and foolish.

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Peggy is the best! All five of my children have attended Marietta/Cobb Driver's Ed and all have had great experiences in both the classroom and on the road!
Thank you so much A. Maldenado for your review! We are so happy to hear that your students had great experiences within our program and with Mrs. Peggy!
Negative experience: Worst customer service ever! I didn't have a good instructor. Didn't learn anything just drove me around in a subdivision, never on the street :(
