ABC's of Safe Driving

Negative experience: I tried to have my son go through the course with them. They only responded to texts. When they did respond it was usually late at night to schedule for the next morning. I.E. they responded at 11pm to a text sent around 4 pm, and "scheduled" my son to drive the next morning before school. Obviously we got the text after he should have been driving. Very hard to get a hold of. Finally just moved my son to a different course. Lost the deposit. DMV told me I could have them transfer his permit to another school, but I was past dealing with this school at that point

Fantastic experience: The instructor was amazing. She worked with my crazy chaotic and tight schedule. Some of the teachings were intense and not what I expected but she made sure I understood them. Drivers training was different with me than it was for my son. She explains everything, is polite, and gives great advice for the real test. Awesome job

Fantastic experience: At first it may take awhile but once you get in person your done just like that! make sure you get your online parts done as fast as you can so you can get in person and it all over with faster. shes very patient and understanding and will make sure your a safe driver!

Negative experience: To lend credit to this review, I am a 20+ year US Navy Veteran who served honorably overseas supporting America’s Global War on Terrorism. After collecting our $350, Laurie Jackson changed her availability to non-working hours. After we refused to have our 15 year old drive at 6AM, she scheduled the first lesson from 8-10PM, when its dark at 8:45 PM. While driving Laurie Jackson was on her cellular phone for a significant amount of time, and my daughter felt berated by comments made about her driving, even though this was her initial time ever driving. After the 4th hour of driving, Laurie recommended additional driving lessons at her hourly rate, beyond the 6 hours required to attain a permit. While trying to schedule the third driving session, we sent our availability multiple times, but never heard back. We decided to finish with a separate driving provider, and without our permission Laurie communicated with the other provider about our daughter. Laurie only provided 4 of the 6 hours of driving we paid for, and when asked for a refund of the 2 hours she refused. We filed formal complaints with both the Idaho State Board of Driver Education, and the Idaho Division of Occupational Licenses.

Negative experience: She has been very rude to my child, to the point of bringing her to tears and now my child is afraid to finish the lessons with her. I don't know how she stays in business treating people like that.

Negative experience: she gave me many panic attacks and told me I'd "never. pass" because I made simple mistakes any new driver would make

Fantastic experience: Laurie was a wonderful teacher! She was very patient and helpful! I can tell she loved to teach and does a great job doing it! She worked well with my schedule and was quick to reply to my texts and questions! Highly recommended for adults who are learning to drive for the first time!

Fantastic experience: I'm pleased w/ Laurie... I understand the teachers for drivers training have other pt or ft jobs. Laurie did amazing w/ doing testing early in the morning or evening and it works w kids being in school !! My daughter said " she is so patient and calm" very prompt w/ contacting you back. Tysvm for teaching my daughter... highly recommended abc driving.

Negative experience: Look elsewhere. Once they get your money they don't respond to emails, calls, texts, etc. Scheduling is next to impossible. We heard excuses ranging from very busy to sick to problems with the car. We got a call at 11:00 pm at night to schedule our daughter for the next night with all subsequent drives at night. In the winter no less. Really?!! For a first time driver. Not safe and not acceptable. We never heard from them again. We went with another provider after repeatedly trying to work with Laurie, to no avail. Laurie did not give us our entire refund despite providing no service and a ton of frustration. A formal complaint has been filed with the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses. Similar reviews regarding this company are on the web.

Fantastic experience: Lorie is the kindest and most considerate instructor I have ever seen. She has the patience of a saint and was able to communicate with me and be able to help me understand the rules and the laws of driving. I have never driven before and I am 31 years old and she taught me so well that I passed my driving exam on the first try. I would recommend her to anyone who is older and wants to learn the right way!

Fantastic experience: I had a most wonderful experience with ABC's of Safe Driving! Very patient and experienced instructor who helped me to get my skills back on track and supported me during my driving test. Highly recommended to everyone who is just learning to drive or already had some experience but in different country. And don't worry about your age - you can learn to drive no matter how old you are:)

Fantastic experience: I'm definitely glad I decided to take a driving school even though as a 22-year-old I didn't have to. I wasn't confident about my driving and Laurie helped me gain confidence, taught me a lot of the road rules I otherwise wouldn't have learned from a manual or an online course. Great for those who are working/studying/busy with life, because the theoretical part is done at your own pace online and the driving is scheduled according to what fits you. Something to keep in mind - driving starts when you're on top of the list among other student in finishing the online course. So do all 100% to make sure you get scheduled for driving ;)
