Amarillo College East Campus: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Excellent , large class rooms, great facilities. Professors are awesome and learn everything i need to know
Positive experience: Very good place and easily to find
Positive experience: I like that the college offers so many different technical programs. That's really good because we need technicians and other vocationally trained people in the labor market. But, the campus is run down and needs some serious investment. It's on the old Air Force Base and its age shows. The grounds could be so much more but the college doesn't seem to care to do anything with it. There's just tons of empty space and rundown buildings around.
Fantastic experience: Great place to be.
Fantastic experience: The East Campus of Amarillo College specializes in technical education. Things like welding, diesel, automotive repair and collision repair, truck driving, electrical, machining, aerospace. A person can learn the skills for a career in as little as one semester.
Fantastic experience: I’m at AC right now do the diesel mechanics program and I love it
Fantastic experience: Yes!!
Positive experience: I've lived here a little over 2 years now. My main complaint would just be that the houses are quite as up to date as I would like. (old shag carpet, old laminate, bathrooms are original). The rent is honestly extremely hard to beat. For the square footage it's better than almost all the other apartment complexes in town. I live in the medium size 3 bdrm/1 bath 1200 sq ft duplex. Our only shared wall is the carport. Unfortunately a majority of our square footage is the living room but at least the bedrooms are big enough to fit a king size bed and they have good size closets. Maintenance is amazing to be honest. When something breaks or goes awry it's one quick phone call to the maintenance office and somebody is usually at the door 10 minutes late. Even on call emergency maintenance was very quick and courteous when we had to call them one night our sinks backed up and overflowed. They were out working on it for at least 2 hours and then thanked us when they left. I've lived at several places in town and this is the best of all of them so far. Pets are allowed without a bank breaking deposit, you have a actual backyard (you can pay to fence it if you want), you have access to the Amarillo College Gym out in the East Campus building and you also get 10% off rent monthly if your a FT college student or have one living with you.
Negative experience: The ladies that run the show are friendly enough. The problem is being able to catch the ONE lady you're supposed to pay your rent to. She is NEVER there! However...she is friendly if you can catch her. Even dropping your rent off in the box does not mean your rent is paid. I dropped mine off on the 31st and they didn't check the box. Guess who got fees? Also, if you're not a mouse friendly person, this is not the place for you. There is an infestation. When you move in the place IS immaculate, which is a plus for them.
