A/C Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Two-day beginning motorcycle class was awesome. Hadn’t ridden in 30 years and this class was perfect. Started us on the bikes right away and we spent probably 80% of the class on bikes, which was super helpful as I needed to rebuild muscle memory. It starts really slow but each new task advances and challenges at a perfect pace, I thought. Instructors were personable and clear and encouraging, especially Jeff. Also, Scott was very communicative when I had an issue getting my Idaho permit. Would highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: I took the motorcycle course for beginners and was able to get my Idaho endorsement quickly. There was a small hiccup with the acceptance of the certificate with the Idaho licensing office but Scott handled it immediately (same day). I read through some other reviews and I have to push back a bit. Be on time, it’s not that hard. Also, Instructors will bark at you, don’t be a baby about it. Just follow the instruction, take the feedback, drive better.
Negative experience: This place I’m sure is responsible for all kinds of identity theft problems they didn’t ask for my id or even who I was . If I were you, I would go elsewhere. Don’t even do the one in Pullman. They won’t even answer your phone call if you call they have to call you back. They will lie straight to your face. Tell you you need things you do not and then. Turn around and play dumb when you don’t need it .there rude have no idea what they’re doing honestly, I wish I could give them zero stars . Written test area is a joke they give you a iPad and have u sit at a table. They had me sit at a table with kids who could care less about being there and we’re more interested in being disruptive .The help was absolutely no help . why the city of clarkston uses this horrible place I’ll never understand. You deserve better than this place asotin county .you best believe I will also be writing the city about theme . No one should ever have to go to this place and waist there time because that’s exactly what will happen
Negative experience: Much of what the instructor guided me into doing was illegal. For example she had me parallel park behind a car despite the fact the car was not a safe distance from the curb, and there was a yellow line indicating it was a no-park zone. Also did not guide me through the usage/quirks of the test car, which BTW the front end was shaking and rattling the whole test.
Fantastic experience: The process was easy and the people were very nice. I have nothing negative to say about A/C driving school.
Negative experience: Very poor communication and unprofessional staff. The website displays conflicting and contradictory information and the only reason they are still in business because no one else has started a competing company. They can’t keep staff positions filled and the students suffer.
Fantastic experience: Great experience! Instructors were knowledgeable and patient, class was informative. Great motorcycle school! I did the intermediate course in January and even though it was below freezing, they have warm coffee, take lots of breaks and made it a great experience. Highly recommend!
Negative experience: I recently had a very disappointing experience with AC Driving School & Motorcycle School. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this driving school due to their unprofessionalism and disorganization. From the onset, the lack of organization was evident. Scheduling lessons was a hassle, as they frequently mixed up appointments and failed to communicate any changes effectively. Each time I called to confirm or reschedule, it turned into a stressful experience, with long wait times and unhelpful responses from the staff. To add to the frustration, I found the instructors to be quite rude and unaccommodating. Instead of creating a supportive learning environment, they often responded dismissively to my questions and concerns. It felt as though my learning was not their priority at all. Flexibility is essential when it comes to driving schools, especially for teens juggling busy school schedules. However, AC Driving School displayed a complete lack of flexibility. They double book appointments, which made the entire process even more frustrating. Practive driving somewhere else for your own sanity.
Negative experience: Very difficult to schedule and their cancelation policy is unclear. They only have driving tests on Thursdays during the school year which means my kids have to miss school to take the test. As far as driving school goes, that was not a good experience either. One driving school one instructor would say comments that made my kids uncomfortable such as how he likes to date younger girls (I heard he doesn't work there anymore, but I haven't checked). Some people working there seem nice, but overall it was a bad experience. I am relieved to know that there is a place in Pullman.
Fantastic experience: Alguien me puede decir si no hablo el idioma puedo hacer el curso de manejo aquí o donde me recomiendan soy hispano
Negative experience: They don’t answer the phone. They freak out at you for getting there late even though you’re clearly not the one that’s driving yourself there. He yells at you. And good luck scheduling an appointment or finding somewhere else close by to go that isn’t 30 minutes out of your way And owned by the same person. I have never felt this hopeless about trying to get my drivers license.
Fantastic experience: I took my 2 day motor cycle class 2 weeks ago and have only good things to say about this organization. The trainers care a lot about your safety and learning the fundamentals to keep you safe on the road. As I continue to practice my driving their words ring in my ears. Look through the exit on your curve, Eyes Up! I am so thankful such a high quality experience is available locally. I learned so much that can potentially save my life. If it wasn't for this class I know I would never have passed my permit test. I took my first big ride yesterday which was 60 miles on twisty back roads and that was because A/C Driving School gave me the confidence and skills to do it. If I could give them 6 stars I would!
Negative experience: They need to answer there phones alot better!
Negative experience: When my son took his written test, the guy kept moving around the paper and said he failed. I took him to Pullman where he passed easily. Plus a computer tells you pass or fail. I checked my son's lights on the weekend. All worked. They call and reschedule like no problem when I was planning on taking some time off of work. He goes in and the top brake light is out. I wouldn't be so mad but my nephew when questioned told me how the guy was and charging a 30 dollar reschedule fee after. Where the freak is my 30 dollars from your reschedule. This is one of the worst places to be forced to go to in the area. If I had the time we would definitely go to Pullman where possibly they treat people better. I think they are just trying to scam people out of more money if you ask me.
Fantastic experience: One Grandchild licensed, two more to go. I wouldn't send them anywhere else!
Fantastic experience: Went in for the parent meeting. Seem knowledgeable. Already had one child go through it a couple of years ago, but good place.
Fantastic experience: Good work, keep it up.
Fantastic experience: I'm so happy that I took driving lessons from the AC Driving School. A big shout out to Scott Wohl, the school’s owner for all the dedication he puts into his work. Scott is always very punctual and prepared. He is very patient and really cares about your progress in learning. Scott teaches with his soul and heart and not for the sake of doing business. He identifies your weaknesses very quickly and works continuously to fix them. Additionally, Scott is very culturally responsive. He treats representatives of different cultural backgrounds with respect, tolerance, and compassion. Every time I made a mistake Scott did his best to help me understand why it happened and how to avoid it in the future. He was very respectful and supportive. During and after my lessons, Scott was giving me a feedback on what I did well and what I needed to work on. I highly recommend the AC Driving School to every international student who would like to learn defensive driving and/or get a Washington State driving license. I did not have a chance to meet with other instructors of the AC Driving School but I believe that Scott does his best to hire devoted professionals and train his employees effectively to keep his driving school the best. Thank you, Scott Wohl!!!
Fantastic experience: Thank you, Scott, for providing excellent driving instruction! You gave specific areas to focus on in order to improve. Great work!
Fantastic experience: i love scotty:)
Negative experience: If you want to pay to be yelled at everytime you are corrected than this is the man for you
Negative experience: Scott yells at students when a mistake is made. He's a terrible instructed.
