Learn Right Driving

Negative experience: I would say that his attitude does not match his experience. He was very aggressive with me the first time we went driving. I tried to ask questions or start a conversation with him but he got annoyed. Then I helped him schedule a time before hand but he never actually put it in his calendar. Then when I reminded him, he blames me for not telling him. In summary, he’ll be mad and yell at you if you either make driving mistake or do not agree with him. Maybe he does not have the patience with his students unlike orher instructors do. I would not recommend an instructor whom does not find it a pleasure or a responsibility to help students learn how to drive but a burden.

Negative experience: Please do not do this driving course I had some driving lessons with Steve and he's honestly so aggressive while driving he gives you alot of anxiety while driving because of the way he talks with aggression even on my first day with no experience he had me drive all the way to Floyd and the way back and he was being really mean and aggressive

Fantastic experience: I had zero experience in driving. And also was super nervous to start learning. I found Learn Right Driving school and took lessons from Steve. He is a great teacher and also is patient. After taking the lessons, I could settle my nerves and drive properly. He appreciates and claps when you do something correctly during the lessons. This encouraged me to continue learning. He even taught me how to drive on the freeway. Before starting the lessons, I never had courage to even think about it. He really cares about his students. He helps a lot during the process of the road skills test. If you are in Blacksburg or Christiansburg area and are looking for a driving school, look no further than Learn Right Driving School.

Negative experience: Leslie has extremely poor customer service and is quite rude.

Fantastic experience: I never had the chance to learn driving throughout my life so I was pretty nervous learning at the age of 30. Steve taught me during the process, and we kept moving up in difficulty in driving slowly. This helped me out a lot and I was able to pass the test within 5 lessons. It was a joy learning from Steve and I cannot recommend Learn Right Driving School more!

Fantastic experience: I took a lesson from Mr. Stephen for driving practice. I haven't been driving for a long time, and also didn't have much experience of driving. And I had to drive a long distance from Virginia to Michigan, so I took a driving practice under his lead. He was sincere in teaching driving skills and did not hesitate to give helpful tips to a novice driver like me. I saw someone say a driving teacher was too strict, but I believe being strict at driving practice is much more helpful than getting an accident and paying lots of money in an actual driving situation. So I was okay with that at all. I finally arrived in Michigan safely, and now I am driving with confidence. I will always appreciate his teaching!

Fantastic experience: I took a lesson with Leslie earlier and recently 2 lessons with Stieve. They both are so wonderful! Very patient, teach important points about driving without giving an overwhelming amount of details or pressure. I passed the test very comfortably after only 2 sessions with Stieve. He gave me the confidence I needed to be calm and perform well on my test. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Carol was great! She was very helpful with working around our schedules and the bad winter weather. Her patience and professionalism made the drivers ed experience much less stressful.

Negative experience: Will stop contacting you even after you message repeatedly. The male instructor is really rude and will yell at you, which would make any driver nervous. I have tried contacting multiple times with no response so I’ll have to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Great teaching! Coach Steve is patient and very experienced in coaching you how to drive. Instructions were very clear and helpful in making you a better driver. They're also very understanding with your schedule and can work around it for you. Would recommend!

Negative experience: The driver is extremely rude and very racist. She kept on saying “ what to do with people from your country”. She even hit my husband on his hand while he was holding the steering wheel (it was his very first driving class). She was screaming all the time on both of us as well as on the pedestrians. Would not recommend her for anyone.

Negative experience: Very aggressive towards cyclists. The instructor seems to not know the laws about where cyclists are allowed on the road, even though at least 10% of the student population bikes.

Fantastic experience: Great teaching. The coach gave clear instructions to guide students how to drive correctly step by step, and would straightforwardly point out any mistake. The most surprising point for me is how the coach could observe my intentions and viewpoints from subtle movements and thus give corrections or instructions.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad that we chose Learn Right as our son's driving school. Leslie is professional and was so easy to work with. She accommodated the boys' crazy schedules and my son felt she taught him much more than he learned practicing with us. I liked that she took the time to meet with parents and students on the last session and really explain some of the laws and rules Virginia has regarding new drivers. I highly recommend Learn Right Driving School.
