Austin Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing experience, My instructor is best of the Best, Her name is Maria Parra, she took best out of me, she was sweet, friendly, kind, such a Blessing, she was always ready to respond my text messages and phone calls, happy to help anytime, I will never forget this experience, I didn’t wanted classes to end, I enjoyed everything second. I will Bring my children to her, because she is the best of the best, You will never regret studying with her. She was so respectful, friendly, her parents have to be so proud of her every day, Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity Maria❤️❤️❤️Love you so much!❤️❤️❤️❤️Thank God I met you ☦️❤️You will be my friend forever ❤️❤️❤️ also wanted to mention at reception Monica, Mara❤️❤️she was friendly, nice, Happy to help anytime, I had nice experience❤️❤️ entire office was so nice❤️
Fantastic experience: Highly, highly recommend this school! Had to do a road test yesterday and the two ladies in the office made it so quick and painless. They were both so nice and made me feel very comfortable during the paperwork process and the test. Don’t waste time at the DMV. Just go to this location!
Fantastic experience: Excelente atención
Negative experience: This place is a huge red flag! To be failed because my instructor rushed me so she could get back to someone else is beyond disappointing. I was rushed throughout the process of my test which made me very uneasy and uncomfortable. At the end of the test, she said, “Oh I probably made you nervous. We can do a retake.” Poor girl after me came back in less time than I did . Very unprofessional, I wish I had saved my money and went somewhere else. I was instructed just a few seconds before to make a right turn and when I did as told she said, “oh I didn’t mean right here.” If you want a pleasant experience as a first time driver, I wouldn’t recommend going here. Save your $85
Negative experience: Really regret signing our daughter up here. They are so overbooked with students that it takes over a month to get her in for a single driving lesson. Her first lesson they didn't even let her drive because they had overbooked it so she just had to watch other students. Calling the corporate office I was informed that they don't share resources with other locations, so if we wanted to get her into another location for a driving lesson we wouldn't be able to get her scheduled at the old location anymore. I strongly urge looking at other driving schools that let you schedule at multiple locations. Our daughter has been "going" to this driving school for almost six months and still barely understands how to drive because there are so few lessons available. As for the instructors, her classroom instructor was nearly always late. We also had a payment issue with the corporate office that they never resolved, we had to go around in circles for weeks and eventually just gave up. This place is a mess
Negative experience: Scheduled us for a class the wrong date. They rescheduled the class and did not inform us of the change. They said it was a miscommunication in office. They failed to inform us and others in the class. We will not be returning. Plus the office smells and is dirty. There are plenty of other driving schools to attend.
Negative experience: Absolutely ridiculous. Scheduled a DPS approved road test at this location and arrived five minutes after the scheduled time due to significant weather and accident related traffic delays. After explaining the full situation to the extremely unprofessional front desk staff, was told that the appointment would need to be rescheduled for a $45 fee, in addition to the base fee. For being a driving school, this location has zero consideration for real world driving situations. They just want to steal your money; do not go to this location. The DPS ought to really reconsider what locations they approve for DPS road tests.
Negative experience: -20/10- Absolutely trash! Very unprofessional and teaches unsafe practices as says we are expected to rush in the rain to get to appointment on time. Do not recommended there are places definitely ten times better. Sucks sucks sucks.
Fantastic experience: I did my driving test here since dmv couple weeks ago. I called and made an appointment then passed. As long as you prep beforehand. You’ll do fine. My test just happen to be with the supervisor. The other lady that was there was nice as well. Tip which they make sure you don’t do it. Once you pass they give you a sealed envelope to take with to dmv. DO NOT open it otherwise you will have to do the test all over. The car was the Toyota coralla and which is an automatic. in the pictures. Tip they have cones there if you need to practice your parallel parking.
Fantastic experience: I took my road test at the Leon valley location. I would recommend if you'd prefer a much faster service and less stressful environment . Driving instructor Mrs.parra was very nice! Looking forward to bringing my son here when he turn 14.⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fantastic experience: The instructor here is awesome!! Will definitely recommend this place...
Fantastic experience: The 1-stars are fake, the staff is very nice and the instructors help you understand whatever you need! She’s extremely nice and really cares for her students.
Negative experience: Do not bother to go to this school.
Negative experience: Horrible instructor. She literally talked the whole time, and wasn’t even letting me know where to turn and what to do. She then got upset, and said I wasn’t doing what I was suppose to do, and implied that I should automatically fail. This place is very unprofessional, and cost a lot of money. This place/instructor isn’t worth it. Save your money!
Negative experience: Spoke to some one named Elizabeth over the phone and get a quote for my girl fried this person was just ugly and rude
Fantastic experience: I really liked this driving school! The instructors are really nice and they take the time to teach you. I got my permit with them and the overall process was good and easy.
Negative experience: I was really excited to start driving lessons but was only disappointed with this school. I had prepaid for in-car lessons.. My lesson was supposed to be today but I never heard from my instructor. I had to call the school to find out why my instructor never showed up to our lesson. Only then do I find out that the instructor was not able to make it because she had to take her son to the doctor that morning. My issue isn't that she had to take her son to the doctor. No that is understandable, life happens. My issue is that she was never given my number and so was unable to contact me to let me know she wasn't going to make it. Nor did the school make any effort to contact me either. This just shows how poorly coordinated the school is and their lack of communication between staff. I should not have had to call the school to find out she wasn't able to make it. A no show appointment is unacceptable, especially if it was prepaid. They require prepayment to make sure I attend the appointment they reserved for me. I expect the same from them. Someone should have called me. When I prepay, I expect service to be delivered. This was unprofessional. They really dropped the ball this time. I asked for a refund. I expect better.
