Truck Driving Academy

Negative experience: Any ideas on what’s going on with the company? I was enrolled recently in the beginning of July and haven’t been back since. I Haven’t got any feedback or information why they closed down. They just disappeared, website is down also . If anyone can help me out that’d be great.

Fantastic experience: I am a recent Graduate with Truck Driving Academy!! and I really recommend this school if you're looking to get your CDL license. One of my instructors named who is Junior really had a lot of time and patience with teaching me how to drive and helped me pass my test!!

Fantastic experience: Great trucking school, Junior one of the instructors is an awesome instructor he really knows how to explain and teach you how to properly operate a truck. He is patient with the students and always really helpfull and a great person those are the type of instructors that should be teaching. Thanks to him I passed on my first try and was out of there quick just 4 weeks at TDA!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to thank Marten and Junior for everything at this school also Dave for teaching me how to shift like a a pro in a truck.. loved this school highly recommend it I’m off on this new journey thanks to these individuals.. I’m am very thankful

Fantastic experience: Tom, Mike and Yes you Jerika, These people, give them a chance and they will show you how to become a good driver, I will share that these three people helped me to understand and learn at my PACE not there's and not anyone's else's, not saying drag it on and on as some students did do lol, This school will help you get your license and not give up on you. I watched Mike and Jerika have patience with the new drivers, I would recommend this school to get my license all over again. Thank you

Negative experience: The guy that answers the phone Mike will lie through his teeth to get your money. He told me a bunch of stuff that wasn't true and when I cross-referenced it against their fact sheet and confronted him with what I found he stuttered over his own words. He told me he did not know why the fact sheet said those numbers. Umm... Maybe because it's the truth? I also caught him in lies about pricing. The dude was a joke. And when I brought all of this to his attention he told me that his supervisor and him had discussed me and decided that I was not a good fit for their school. Why? Because I did my homework and I didn't just hand over thousands of dollars? I asked to speak to his supervisor and they never got back to me. I tried calling numerous times and they wouldn't answer until I finally called from my work phone and they answered first ring. And again it was tall story Mike. So again I asked to speak with his supervisor so I can bring some of the stuff that he was telling me to light and they never called me back. I finally enrolled in a school whose information they gave me is backed up by their fact sheet instead of dealing with a lying clown show. DO YOU RESEARCH!!

Fantastic experience: Thank you Mike Ms Jericka Tom and Katie! I got my Class A on November 9th 2023 ! I received so much help and alot of encouragement along the way. I was treated with respect and really enjoyed tda school would highly recommend it for anyone who was to be in the trucking industry.!

Fantastic experience: I have been wanting to do trucking for a long time now. Have been looking all around, found TDA Trucking and got in contact with Ellie. Ellie provided me with proper resources and excellent customer service with all the information I needed to get into the trucking career goal path. She is very supportive and motivating. She makes the process smooth and easy so it’s not so overwhelming and keeps in contact as well - which is always a plus! Thank you Ellie for all your help!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to becoming a professional driver TDA is the way to go! This school has great staff that really care about you and they do everything in their power to make sure that when it comes down to go to the dmv your ready for whatever they throw at you. Ellie in the office is such an amazing person who really cares about you succeeding in the classroom. And Tom, Mark, and Patrick are in my opinion some of the best instructors there can possibly be! They take their time to really help you focus on what you are struggling with and make sure you’ve mastered the art of driving when it comes down to head to the dmv! I would highly recommend coming to this school if your thinking of becoming a professional driver! Thank you TDA for helping me become a professional driver!

Fantastic experience: Had the awesome and rare privilege to meet and work with an amazing team of people here at the Truck Driving Academy. It was nothing short of a blessing and honor to be taught by Mr Tom. that man is gift. Never thought for a second Id be truck driver but not only did Mr Tom and Mark turn me into a believer, They helped make it my reality along with all their other associates. Ellie in the office is a rockstar! Patrick is saint! And Mark is a Champion! They all work so hard and tirelessly to ensure that every student no matter what skill level leaves their presence and school with the tools, license, and skills, needed to go out in the real world and be successful and SAFE! Anything I needed whether it was extra time, practice, a pep talk, words of encouragement, advice, I got it and then some! Covid made the experience tough but our instructors showed us how to be tougher and it was something that we overcame together. Im so glad and thankful that TDA is apart of my legacy. I cant thank you all enough!

Fantastic experience: My Husband Shawn Riley just completed this program and got his CDL he passed with flying colors thanks to Ellia, Tom and Mark. Great teamwork and a great class to be in. An unforgettable experience! It’s time to go to work! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him!

Fantastic experience: I came here as a veteran, and i was impressed with how quickly ellie submitted my paperwork to the va for my housing allowance, her perfect timing resulted in me being paid on time! The training i recieved was top of the line, tom and martin do a great job teaching students out on the yard. If you work hard in this class and pay attention to what is being taught then once it's time for dmv there will be no issues. The training is very thourough while at the same time being to the point! It's very apparent that these guys are passionate! They care about the students and will make sure you pass! 100 % would recommend to anyone wanting a class A. TDA will get you there. P.s. also very fun and positive environment P.s.s as for job placement, through TDA i recieved an opportunity to apply for a job that pays 100k a year

Negative experience: This is one of the worst places I have been to for 4,500 dollars first thing this is not a Academy it's a study hall they do not teach you what you need to know about Trucking the so-called instructor in the classroom does not teach for the whole time you're there if you want to listen to YouTube videos and then do fill-in-the-blank packets then pay 4,500 dollars Mom's dad's don't waste your money and time they will be nice to you tell they have your money the instructor answers the phone All day long when she is so called teaching the class taking person calls from family members and taking about personal information why you will be teaching your self it's a joke but if you need little help with learing trucking then this is the place for you but .

Fantastic experience: Great School!! TDA is a four(4) week long Truck Driving school that focuses not only on a student getting their Class A license, but making a student a professional driver. The school is set up for the students to get a lot of time behind the wheel of the truck. They do that by having a maximum of four(4) students to one(1) instructor at all times. If for any reason there would be more than 4 students, they call in another instructor with another truck to make sure they keep those numbers. First week is in the class room learning the basics and getting ready to take the DMV written tests. Once you pass the test the rest of the time you are in the "Yard" learning the ins and outs of driving a commercial truck. The school has two(2) trucks to train you with. They are 10 speed manuals and have "sleepers" on them so they are the kind you would most likely be driving once you got a job. You will learn city and highway driving in Yuba City, Marysville and Sacramento as will a small little towns around the area. You will drive on 99, 70, I 5 and I 80 and small little back roads that are narrow and tight as well as backing up to docks so you will be will rounded. The school is great because if you have a hard time learning, or just take longer than the normal time, the school will continue to work with you until you have passed your driving test with DMV at no extra charge. There have been students there for months and months and the instructors work with them. As long as this is something you want, they will work with you as long as you are not disrespectful and you show up to class. When I took my written test at DMV, they had guessed I came from TDA due to how will I did on my tests. While on my driving test, the DMV examiner made the comment "It was nice for once to ride with someone that knew how to drive" and while I waited outside DMV watching others students from other schools drive, I saw what the examiner was talking about. Out of about 10 student drivers that day, I was one of only two drivers to pass and get my license. The school helps with financing and job placement. The day I passed my DMV Drive test, they had found me a job. The funny thing was, it wasn't a truck driving job. In this school, you are a person, not a dollar sign. I had told them the field I was coming from was hard to find work in and that was why I was switching careers. They found me a job in my original career that paid better than what I had been getting before and would pay better then any job they could find at that time for trucking. This school may cost a little more, but its will worth it with the time and focus they give you and they are the only one that is state certified in the area. If that's not enough, many of the students from the past came by or called up the instructors to let them know how they were doing and to ask them more questions about the industry, and even ask about companies before applying to see if it was what they were looking for. That says a lot to me. Best School ever!!!!
