Coastal Area Driving Academy

Negative experience: These instructors are responsible for their students while the students are behind the wheel, and I don't have an abundant amount of confidence in the instructors, based on my experience driving in the town around them example: One or more of these instructors needs to be a lot better about telling their students when to turn their turn signals on. I'm really tired of getting caught in frustrating situations, because I think the driver is doing one thing, and then they make a turn, or start parallel parking. Also, just because this is a small town, doesn't mean you get to take as much time as you want to talk to your student in the road before having them start parallel parking. If that's how you want to do your instructing, find a place to teach parallel parking that is not anywhere near the flow of traffic in town.

Fantastic experience: This driving school was top notch. Not only did Raena prepare my daughter for her test, she also gave her the confidence she needed. Having the ability to practice right before the test and then use their vehicle was so helpful. Highly recommended!!! Thanks again

Fantastic experience: The Instructions are very knowledgeable, friendly, kind, caring, and compassionate. Our daughter was confident and at ease while taking her drivers test. This is the place, & look no further … My story isn’t an every day one. I’m 35 mother of two going through major life changes and to top it off HAD , ( yes that’s right past tense ) a major phobia towards driving.. Raena & Chuck ‘s vocation to take almost all their time teaching individuals the ways of the road is something you will want for your loved one.. They both bring structure and liveliness to their agenda, that could of otherwise been overwhelming… They provide a safe, comfortable and very nurturing environment for self empowerment and at the same time safety, which is the most important aspect of this class… anyone can learn how to drive , but not everyone learns the proper way .. and at The Coastal Driving Academy though an investment , You will get all the tools & more to do this job the best way possible .. & they are honestly giving it to us at a steal of a price , because they & the service they provide is priceless.. I’m forever grateful .

Fantastic experience: My Son just completed his driver's education with Coastal Area Driving. The instructors were so patient, knowledgeable and friendly! My son has had anxiety about driving so he didn't do his Drivers Ed until he turned 17. I let the owners know that prior to his 1st class & they really made him feel comfortable, helping him to grow his confidence driving & learn to be a safe driver! I highly recommend them to anyone with kiddos looking to get their permit!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had both my son and daughter go through them over the last 2 years. We had our son do the road test preparation and has home use their car. We will do the same for our daughter too! They are hands down amazing! So accommodating and personable! Very good experience definitely would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Three of our kids went through this company- the husband and wife duo work very well together and together bring balance of fun and seriousness while putting our kids behind the wheel. We had to re enroll due to an illness and they were very patient. Renae was wonderful in coaching my oldest as she prepared for her driver test-

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with our experience at Coastal Area Driving Academy! We had 2 kiddos take drivers ed through Renea and Chuck and both times were a fabulous experience! They were very accommodating to our schedules and very efficient at getting drive times done. Both my kids used their company car for their road test and both passed their first try! I highly recommend this family owned and oriented business!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! Raena has been nothing but helpful and caring throughout the whole process. She worked well with both our son and daughter from in class sessions to on the road sessions she has taught them well and boosted their confidence behind the wheel. She also worked with my son for an hour prior to his road test to help calm the nerves. I would highly recommend coastal area driving academy.

Negative experience: Only giving one star because I had to in order to leave a review. Received a call that my daughter wouldn't be eligible for this class (bc day 1 is introduction day?) that's fine so I said let's just move her to the next class. Well apparently if there are not more then 4 students signed up for sept they will just cancel the class and not refund your deposit. Make your kid wait even longer - a smaller class means you get them in and out of class and driving hours done. How greedy can you be? Then I was told fine we will just refund your $200. But they can't tell me when bc they want to keep the 3% fee and will mail me a check when they can. Parents pay more money for the other place I have never ever ever had an issue w them and I have had 2 drivers go through them.

Fantastic experience: We would like to thank Coastal area Driving School, for helping my grandson get his license. Raena and Chuck, are very pleasant patient people. Very fair priced and very accommodating.
