Fantastic experience: I passed today! I’ve always had anxiety when it came to driving, but this place was the best at easing you into things. I never felt rushed and if a mistake was made they gently let you know and offered advice prior. Im glad i chose this place to get my license!

Negative experience: Followed a student driver for 20 miles who consistently went at least 10 to 15 miles under the posted speed limit. If they're too scared to drive the posted speed limit, the teacher should take over the driving. That student created a very dangerous situation for other drivers. I was nearly rear ended because of this. Either take control of the vehicle, or make them drive the posted speed limit. Going too slow is as dangerous as going too fast. That's driving 101
Oh no! I understand that can be frustrating, however, new drivers really need our patience. Can you recall when you started learning to drive? How nervous you may have been with all those mirrors, just the right pressure on the accelerator/brake, as well as sharing the road with people that tailgate you or act like a bully ? It is a lot to take in. Giving them grace is just what they need from those they are sharing the road with during this learning experience. They need our patience to build their confidence, just like the elderly need our patience when their reaction time begins to decrease, their anxiety increases, or maybe a young family driving slower than usual because their bringing their newborn home from the hospital. Understanding that you're sharing the road with others is essential to avoiding crashes not driving the speed limit. Interestingly, the posted speed limit is actually the limited speed you are allowed to drive on the road in an ideal condition. Limited means that you're not supposed to drive over that speed. Legally in the state of Louisiana, drivers can drive as slow as they would like on the road. Most driving school cars have decals that warn drivers they are approaching a student driver. The best thing you can do in the future to keep yourself safe is keeping a recommended 4 seconds following distance from you and the driver in front of you whether it is a student driver or not. Unfortunately, in your situation it sounds that the driver behind you wasn't keeping a good following distance from you either. I'm so glad you brought this to our attention so that our instructors can be mindful if they travel 20 miles with the same person behind them to give them an opportunity to pass but beware that may require them to slow down more so you could maneuver around them. Fantastic experience: I went a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience! The teachers are very accommodating and make sure you understand the material. I couldn't have asked for a better class! Mrs Corie was my driving instructor during my two days and we had an amazing time together, she was very informative and fun to be around.
Kaitlyn, you were so sweet and we did enjoy having you. Thank you again and don’t forget to call us whenever you’re ready to move up to your next license.
Negative experience: Everything was very unorganized. Kids in the class were not supervised as some kids walked several blocks to Zaxby's for lunch. I am not blind to the way teens talk, but foul language was used in the class by students and instructors. The driving was horrible, the instructor was very nervous and would say, turn that way, not left or right. So my child was scolded for not knowing which way was that away.
I am very sorry for the experience you had but none of the classroom instructors cuss. And they were supervised all the time. I don’t know why your child would say that because it’s untrue! But your child walked to zaxbys that is on your child. I cannot and will not take blame for that. If you had a problem with the driving instructor why did you not call me and tell me and I could have helped you with any problem. And for the foul language of the teens today again your child could have told me they were uncomfortable with that the should have spoke with me. I cannot hear every word the students speak so I may not have heard it. If you would like to discuss it please feel free to call me!

Fantastic experience: I just finished my 4 day class here and I learned so much! My friends told me that drivers ed would be boring so I was dreading on taking the classes. But Livingston driving academy was anything but boring. Ms. Denise is an amazing instructor, she’s very charismatic and does NOT tolerate other kids being distracting for other students. I no longer feel scared about driving. I feel very prepared for whatever happens on the road. I only missed 3 on my test because they had somewhat similar answers or it was a tricky worded question. I wasn’t nervous before the test at all. I felt very confident the entire time (expect for the 3 that i missed lol). Whenever I had a question or needed help answering the question they were very helpful. This academy defiantly produces safe, smart, defensive drivers :)

Fantastic experience: The Driving Academy is not only professional but effectively delivers a message of safe-driving and student priority. Learning from this class both with education videos and effective student cooperative worksheets will surely assist me in the future of my driving career. Both Mrs. Denise and her daughters did a good job in teaching and answering questions making the class fun and educative with their sense of humor and professional state of mind everyday.

Fantastic experience: Mrs Denise is awesome. I had a horrible experience with Blue Line Academy. I called Mrs Denise last Sunday... Yes she answered even on Sunday! Told her my issue and she scheduled my daughter to drive this weekend! My daughter will have her license in the morning. Can't say enough good about this place! And her driver, Mrs Cori, is AMAZING!!! Great job guys!! Thank you so much!!!
