Wheeler Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I used this service for on road instruction for 2 of my boys. We live in Centerville and they came out and picked my sons up for their lesson. They are very easy to work with scheduling wise. Responsive by email when I had questions. We plan to use them again in the future.
Fantastic experience: Our experience with Wheeler was awesome. Her instructor Sabrina was positive, patient, and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Wheeler Driving School.
Negative experience: Yeah like some of the other reviews said if there was an option for zero stars I’d do it. However I have been waiting since December for drive time! I already have the 24 hour class instruction done. All I need is 8 hours of in person driving and then to take the test. But looks like that may never happen due to wheelers hours being terrible, poor communication, and overall very poor service. Please reach out and solve this issue!!
Positive experience: Expect a long wait, which is the case with any driving school in the area. Sign up as soon as your teen gets their permit. We signed up our daughter in July. We were told to expect our drives end of November or the beginning of December. After corresponding with Wheeler via email we finally were assigned an instructor in mid-December and started her drives shortly after. Our daughter finished her drives on February 2nd I believe. (bad weather, snow/ice, etc delayed her drives) The one issue I had was there was no advance scheduling and we were just kind of at the mercy of our instructor having time to fit us in. I do recommend having your child do the online instruction (Aceable was great) for the 24 hours of driver's education, it's easier than trying to fit actual classroom time into their schedule. Just try to be patient, and understanding. Ask for updates and when you have an instructor ask them about drive times... don't just wait for them to reach out. Be kind but don't just sit around and wait.
Negative experience: Well, since zero stars is no option, I guess I'll have to settle for 1 star. I've paid the full amount of $540 and have been waiting since the end of September to hear from a driving instructor. We've followed every instruction given to us by Wheeler's and they have fallen very short on their end. Who else to I contact about this? If I wanted this type of service, I would have enrolled my kid at D&D driving school in Dayton and paid WAY MORE for crappy service... This is not good business. I want reimbursement for whatever my child has not received that is included in the $540 .... He'll be 18 before he'll even receive what we signed up for! this is sad! Beavercreek Location, DO BETTER!
Fantastic experience: Thank you for dedicating your time to teaching my son the importance of safe driving.
Fantastic experience: My daughter did her drives with Rob. He was so kind and patient! He made her feel so at ease. Once it was her turn to schedule her lessons, communication was great. We waited about 6 months for our turn. We’d call or email monthly for updates and the staff was always polite and prompt. I can’t stress enough that you have to have patience with this whole process. The staff and drivers are doing their best and once it becomes your child’s turn you’ll be thankful because it’s worth the wait! They even rent out cones to practice maneuverability after their instructed drives! That was a nice surprise. Overall, I’d recommend Wheeler’s but you must practice patience with the process! Update: she passed her test on the first try. Thank you, Wheelers!
Fantastic experience: Very friendly an knowledgeable staff.
Negative experience: They are unprofessional and don't call you back or return an email. I wouldn't use this company. There is a great place that works with many kids from Troy for this very reason. Try Jones driving school in Greenville.
We are Wheeler Driving School, Inc., located in Beavercreek and not affiliated with the Wheelers in Troy. Please kindly adjust your post so as not to affect our rating.
Negative experience: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, they will tell you driving hours are a 12-14 week wait but after 18 weeks they never call back and they won’t return messages, and this happened to MULTIPLE STUDENTS!
Negative experience: My daughter finished class sessions at the beginning of May and now I can't get anyone on the phone or through email to contact me about the driving portion of the classes, I've already paid for. It's impossible to get any response from anyone. These classes were really expensive and now I may have to go somewhere else to get the driving portion done. We need her to be able to drive to school in the fall.
Negative experience: My son finished class sessions back in March. I was told 12 weeks out for in car sessions. I have tried contacting them to see when they are scheduling, with no phone call back. I Drove 20 mins on May 26th to just get told a person will be contacting you the weekend of June 10. The lady said that their phones were messing up. Two weeks later still nothing. Called again, today. Still no answer. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! If I could of rated them 0 I would have. I get its pandemic but it takes nothing to make a phone call. I have 3 others that will needs drivers ed and they will not be getting my business.
Fantastic experience: I had the privilege to be a student there this summer! Was driving school boring? 100% But was it worth it? 1000% I did enjoy lessons from Rob Bowman and Chris Pickle very nice and personable and made sure how to get us prepared when we start the road test! Also my driver instructor was Tye Hill extremely patient very down to earth , great instructor and a very kind gentleman. Now thanks wheeler I got my drivers license it was defiantly an awesome experience. 11/10
Fantastic experience: I recently finished driving school at Wheeler and fully recommend it. My three instructors were all nice and related personal stories to the teaching. It took only two weeks to schedule drives with Rob Bowman, and I did them all in three days. He did a great job with teaching everything I needed to know. Got a perfect score on the driving and maneuverability test, and I couldn't have been taught better.
Negative experience: My daughter completed this class the beginning of September & we're coming up on November with no scheduled time for the instructor portion of this. I've had to call three times now to try & set up a time to finish this course & still don't have one. It's still going to take some time to do the 4 instructor phases but even if it ends up being done in 3 months, that seems unreasonably long. I don't want my inexperienced daughter practicing in the ice, so I'm getting a little more than upset at this service or lack of it.
Fantastic experience: i just finished driving school and i couldn’t have asked for a better class than i had. i 10/10 recommend coming here, i only had three of the instructors, and cris pickle was my favorite. she explained everything so well and she told us stories in relation to what we were learning. thank you for the great experience!
Fantastic experience: Rob taught two of my kids and did a great job. Very patient and prepared them well for the test. I feel great knowing Rob showed them the right way to drive. I trust Rob.
Fantastic experience: Great driving school, passed my driving and maneuverability test with a Perfect Score! Rob is the best!
Fantastic experience: I was overly impressed by the staff and instructor my son had at Wheeler Driving school. He just did the drives with the instructor. They were more than accommodating to fit into his busy school schedule, and he had excellent continuity. My son also had high remarks for his instructor - Rob Bowman. He was extremely professional and It was an outstanding learning environment. He easily passed his driver's test on his first attempt. My second son will be using Wheeler to get his driver's training when he comes of age.
Fantastic experience: GOOD INSTRUCTORS GOOD EVERYTHING
Fantastic experience: Great school with great instructors. Wheelers has been serving the Beavercreek community and surrounding areas for over 30 years! Highly recommend them.
