Positive experience: **Update - got a call today and my son is scheduled for his test! Revising my review to reflect. Been calling, texting, emailing since the beginning of July with NO communication and what’s worse is that we paid for the driver’s ed course which my son completed, all but the test and they won’t call me back. This is craziness.

Negative experience: Jerry is an absolute psycho! He threatened my daughter and I. He should not be around children. This “man” told me he was packing. My daughter never even tested with him and after I recounted my encounter with him, his wife, who is the supervisor, completely deflected and turned it around on us. This woman tried to say he was saying packing meant pepper spray. We live in Oregon sir, we all know what packing means.

Fantastic experience: I'm a native Oregonian who moved out of state for some years and have recently moved back. There was a big complication with my ID and the previous state. At the age of 44, I had to retake the behind the wheel test. This was a long and frustrating process. The DMV was difficult per our state leadership. However, I had zero issues with Training Wheels. Driving is something I take seriously. Most say they do but they don't. I've lost loved ones to bad drivers. Gregg from Training Wheels is an excellent instructor. He understands well the concepts and attention to detail needed to be successful behind the wheel. Parents, Gregg knows how to drive and teach. Now concerning the bad reviews other people have left here. My wife and I are professionals. I'm self employed and my wife is in law. We don't have issues with voicemail boxes being full and not checking emails. You as the customer have responsibilities. It's not the job of any company to account for your shortcomings as person. Leaving bad reviews because a company doesn't fit into your timing, schedule, and life events says it all. It's not their fault you haven't figured out how the world operates.

Negative experience: So it all started in January maybe February when I started to schedule i call and get told the times that are available and nothing else then I asked to get a call back and discuss with my parent I want a few days no reply then I call again again see about scheduling but I will be honest I procrastinated but after calling like the third time I want to make an appointment but then im finally told it's 75 dollars so I post pone it so I can get my truck fixed after a while I get that going and call again to schedule by this time the beginning of June I know big jump just was busy but they said im not able to get a appointment ing till the 27th so I agree and pay the 75 dollars not I just get an email conformation and a receipt saying I got charged no date location or anything then a few weeks go by nothing then I get a call on the 20th and was asked to confirm the date but wasn't told the time and I forgot to ask so I could write it down I was at work anyway the week before my test comes by and I decide to call and leave emails and text the line they said for questions zero reply I am now waiting and now it's the day of the test I call and email and text a few more times and I finally get a email at 1 saying my schedule was for the 20th at 10:30 now I get confused and send a bunch of questions like I was told it was the 27th and there was no sooner appointments the only one before that was the 23 and I missed out because the 27th was the only time available after I called back when I schedule(witch was the 6th I believe) they correct themselves and said it was 10:30 today so my test when shit and waring get the time and write it down as soon as you can don't ever make it so you have to wait on them because there urgency to reply is non existant

Negative experience: had horrible experience with gregg! he was on his phone while i was driving. he talked to me for a majority of the drive which i thought wasn’t allowed. his instructions were unclear and that is why I failed.

Fantastic experience: Thank you Greg! Training wheels is the way to go. Great feedback and tips after the test. I was very nervous and made some mistakes but I was still able to pass!

Negative experience: I contacted them by phone and via Facebook about a skills test in Corvallis but they never got back to me. I eventually just went with one of their competitors in Albany who were able to book me for the next day.

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing company that covers all of Oregon for driving tests to obtain your driver's license. Gregg who is the instructor of the test is great guy. Very informative goes by the book and does pull any fast ones on you. The price is fair for the testing because you have to realize home base is in Newport. $70 is a good price and respectable. Make sure you follow up the day before you tests as these guys are in high demand so being respectful and calling for reassurance isn't a bad idea because they have a lot of customers. Overall was a great experience and highly suggest them for all your drive test needs.

Negative experience: Over the period of 2 weeks, I left 3 voice mail messages and emailed Training Wheels twice trying to make an appointment for a DMV drive test. They never responded. I finally went to Oregon Driver Education Center. Their website is easy to use and the company is very professional.

Fantastic experience: Rocky is awesome! He helped my husband and his dad with their test to get their licence.. he is very proffesional and made them feel more relaxed and less stressed about it. A friend of ours also had Rocky as his instructor and nothing but good talks about him and how awesome he is. Rocky! I have two inlaws that need their licence, we want you to be their instructor! You are awesome dude.!

Negative experience: Training wheels should lose there contract for being a testing company. I try countlessly to get appointments booked for my driving student's to get tested and they never have anyone in office or who will return phone calls. Manager..... please accept the fact your company SHOULD NOT be in business and certainly should not have contracts with DMV for testing. Customers deserve ato have a 3rd party testing company that is responsible.

Negative experience: I scheduled the driver's test and bend after calling probably around 20ish times in the span of few days. I paid up, and front drove down to practice the day before and showed up 45 minutes early on the day of the test for my instructor to not show up. The directions for where we would meet were very unclear and I spent 30 minutes talking to employees confirming the instructions I received, "by the back rock wall of Fred Meyer". Waited around at the spot for 30 minutes and didn't see them. I'd like to see communication between The instructor and person taking the test, maybe a phone number or some kind of text line? There needs to be some kind of communication otherwise it kind of feels like a wild goose chase. I'd also like to see a better phone system to get ahold of them in the first place, maybe some sort of automated system that can filter people so that it puts less stress on the employees answering the phone. also when I call now it says that their voice mailbox is full and I cannot leave a message. Finally, I would like to see better directions/meeting spots, The instructions were fine over the phone but when I arrived where I was supposed to be, it raises a lot more questions that could not be answered because the lack of communication with the instructor, which is only compounded by the fact that you call the business ask them questions because their phone system doesn't work.

Positive experience: Pleasant people. Helped get my teen in quickly. The instructor was fabulous at destressing my nervous high schooler. However, they are required to enter drive test results in to the system, so DMV can verify by permit# and issue licenses. I found out at the counter they did not, at our DMV appointment 1 and a 1/2 months later! I was sent for out-of-town work with my office packed mid rebuild. Banked on them doing the entry. Thank god I got someone on the phone after 3 tries.

Fantastic experience: My teenage daughter just took her behind the wheel test yesterday in Astoria. Her evaluator, Rosa, was fantastic- very professional but also did a lot to reassure my nervous kid. Kayla in scheduling was great, too. Seems (from other reviews) this biz may have had a rough patch the past few months, but from our experience, they are providing great service now. Thanks T.W.O.!

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst run business ever!! Never answers the phone even after two weeks of calling multiple times a day. This is after I got a hold of them one time initially to schedule an appointment and tried to call back to pay them for it and confirm. I highly recommend avoiding this company at all cost!
