Fantastic experience: I registered my 3 teens to take the class all together at the same time. They all had a wonderful experience with each instructor. All at different driving levels, I received feedback on each of them and what they needed to work on. Talk about going above and beyond! Penny is amazing No matter how many times I called, or how many questions I had, she always manage to find time to call me back and help me with whatever I needed. As a parent, I highly recommend “Between The Lines” for your teens driving instruction. They truly care and do their personal best to make sure your teen is ready for the road. I will be forever grateful..

Negative experience: The training class and instruction is top notch. The instructor's have patience and do not rush the students making the young drivers feel more comfortable behind the wheel. However the road test instructor is an angry person that made my child nervous from the start. Reminded me of the instructor from License to Drive. A watch watcher, very jerky individual with quite the power trip. I also feel that $50 for 20 to 30 minutes of making the driver upset is ridiculous. When I did my road test for my CDL the instructor was calm and did not make anyone feel uncomfortable in any way. If I missed a turn I was allowed to adjust and make a safe correction. I was not made to feel bad about it. The students that don't make it past the Drill Sergeant the first time should be able to take it a second time with being charged another $50. When I took my road test back in the day, we drove the vehicle that we were accustomed to driving and not a strange vehicle that handles much differently. I find it very strange that my child drives perfectly fine in our vehicles as well as her grandparents vehicles but cannot drive the driving academy vehicles to standard. When the instructor cannot look me in the eyes and explain what happened there is a communication issue. She kept looking at everything other than me.

Fantastic experience: We love Between the Lines! 2 of my children have taken driver's ed here and they have been excellent both times. Ms. Penny is amazing!

Negative experience: Mrs. Penny is amazing, she is a great woman, she just has a lot on her plate lately and this caused unclear communication and other issues for me with this driver's school.

Fantastic experience: WE LOVE MS PENNY! We have 4 kids. We have tried 2 different drivers ed schools between the 3 older kids. They all have had different experiences. However, they all agreed that sitting through the classes were torture. And when I think back, the excitement of drivers ed soon goes away after day 1 of class.... important information that is needed but not exactly fun. And my 2 daughters had horrible driving experiences from 2 different schools. Very troublesome the way the instructors conducted them and inappropriate at times..... that being said, when it came to our youngest, I really did some homework before signing him up for a class. I really was impressed that there were a lot of positive reviews. Ms Penny really loves her job. You can tell that she is truly passionate and really tries to take the “pain” of these classes and make them a good learning experience. The communication through email and text was awesome. I felt like I could contact her with questions with ease which I could not with the other schools. She made me feel like my son was safe, welcomed, and treated him like her own when it came to the drives. We had a few times where we had to reschedule drives and she was understanding and was always contacting me when she had cancellations to see if he could make one. She made an effort to work around after school activities and just made me feel like he wasn’t just a name on a list. The previous schools made me feel like they got their money, and I was the one who had to constantly be persistent about scheduling drives.... not with Ms Penny! She really connected with us and made sure that we got them wrapped up. I realize that she was scheduling lots of drives everyday for many kids. And I really like how she tries to work it out where the drives can sometimes end with the student driving home. That’s a nice little added bonus plus gave my son a familiar drive that would be an everyday route for him. It just made a great experience for him and for me as well. I never once worried about him. And when it was all done, it was clear what the next steps were as far as getting the permit, and license to follow. I wish my other 3 kids would’ve had an instructor like Ms Penny.

Fantastic experience: I took the 14hr course and pawpaw was a great teacher for the written part he made it fun and easy my driving instructer Penny Yent was amazing she was patience and made your nerves just disappear

Fantastic experience: Great course with great instructors that care about your safety and the safety of others on the road. So glad I chose them and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that can't decide on where to go.

Fantastic experience: My daughter just finished taking classes and driving and her experience was great!! She did very well on her written test which means that the class was very thorough and well taught. She had a wonderful driving instructor who was very patient and reassuring and made her feel at ease and confident. We would/will definitely recommend Between the Lines Driving Academy from this point forward.. Thank you so much for making this transition so much easier
