Driveright Driving School LLC: Reviews
Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Driveright--my daughter enjoyed the lessons with Mr. Steve. They even have an add-on where you can take the car you practiced on to take the test. We had no issues with scheduling and brought all necessary documents when needed/requested. Our daughter is now a licensed driver and we want to say 'thank you' for the service you provided.--Andrew
Thank you for sharing the success of your daughter obtaining her license. We can tell by the smile in the photo you added she was successful! I Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We strive to help students fine tune their skills to be safe and defensive drivers to work alongside the parent's coaching.
Negative experience: This is the second time we used them. The first time things went well. This time, has been a nightmare. We called in April to schedule driving instruction and didn't get a call back until June. My son's last driving lesson had to be rescheduled because my son forgot his wallet. He was 8 minutes early for the lesand we live 5 minutes away. I was home and could have grabbed his wallet and gotten it to him quickly but the driver insisted that the lesson be cancelled and rescheduled. We rescheduled for an afternoon lesson because my son is in school. They just called and asked where he was at 11am. Not pleased with the office hours they have now and the lack of response to issues.
Your son registered for the program on April 11th and was told that drives would begin in June. HIs drives were scheduled for June 5, 14, 19 and 25. You cancelled his first drive and it was rescheduled for July 8. That is the drive he came to without his permit. He did not inform the instructor that his permit could be brought to him quickly so therefore it was a missed drive. This drive was rescheduled for July 16th. Your son called me back and ask what the next drive I had available was. I told him July 23 at 11 am. He said he would take that one and make it work. You stated he has school, I cannot be responsible for knowing a students personal schedule when scheduling their drives. Your son's final drive was quickly rescheduled due to a cancellation for July 25th. We answer our phone throughout the day and the office hours are convenient for the other families that we have worked with. We wish your son the best on his driving.
Negative experience: I would highly recommend going to another company for the drives of your children. The staff is not professional or friendly. We are waiting on the certificate of my son's drives and it is holding up his testing. They allowed my son to determine how we get this certificate and when I called to see if we could get it reprinted to pick up I was told no they mailed it. The lady in the background said if it had been processed it was sent out. The gentleman on the phone told me they wouldn't be back in the office until next Tuesday to see if it had been processed. Very unprofessional and they truly do not care.
Please understand we are not in the office 24/7. Unfortunately, there was no one in the office when you called, however, we were able to answer your call and assist the best we could out of office. We try to accomodate each student in successfully obtaining their certificate so they are ready when their test time arrives. Your son completed his drives on September 21 and we ask everyone to allow 3-5 business days for processing. Your son's certificate was mailed, at his request, immediately after processing. Should he have needed it sooner, he should have chosen to pick it up personally. We do take a sincere interest in the successful completion of each student in the hopes they are responsible and ready for their test.
Fantastic experience: My son had an excellent experience at Driveright Driving school. He only needed to complete his hours of instructor driving and the company was very cooperative and easy to work with. I had to come to the office to pay the fee and fill out paperwork but then they called me and scheduled his driving sessions when they promised they would and the instructors were thorough and personable. My son had almost all his 50 hours of driving done so they did a lot of fine tuning with him. He passed his driving test easily and we are so happy with this company. We will be using them again for our daughter. Thank you Paul and Steve for your instruction. Chris is a confident driver and doing very well.
Thank you for your kind words. We do take a sincere interest in the success of our students. We are pleased to hear that Chris did well on his test and wish him the best in his driving future.
Fantastic experience: Despite the minimal office hours, they were very responsive to me. My daughter had a great experience with Steve and Tina. She said they were both polite and friendly, and gave good advice. She was very nervous but said the instructors put her at ease. The office staff turned her paperwork around quickly so she can take her test on the scheduled date.
Thank you for taking the time for the kind words. We enjoyed working with your daughter and hope she was successful with her test. We all enjoy working with the students to prepare them for their test and road safety. Thank you again!
Positive experience: They have very restrictive office hours. Two and a half hours on two days a week. I had a hard time scheduling the driving lessons. Left several voice mails without a returned phone call. I was going to leave a worse review. But once my daughter started the driving lessons everything went fine. Then we were in a time crunch and they were really helpful getting us the certificate of driving completion in time for her test. Over all the training and service was really good. The limited office hours and non returned phone calls are bad.
Mr. McAninch I understand your concerns and appreciate your comments. The in office hours are reduced now due to the fact that I am taking my office time on the other days of the week to do in car lessons with the students to assist in completing drives in a more timely manner. I do remember returning calls to you, perhaps we just weren't connecting on the same schedule. We wish Alexis the best with her driving.
Negative experience: The only good thing about this school was the quick scheduling. The instructors that I had, Paul and Steve, were very unprofessional and both looked me in the eyes and told me I was going to fail. My instructors also told me very different things while doing maneuverability. The office hours here are absolutely awful, they are only open 4 hours a day, 2 days a week. If you have to reschedule a drive good luck! Their receptionist does not call back in a timely matter and they tend to not give there certifications out quickly. I had to reschedule my driving test twice, once because i was terrified when they said i was going to fail and once because they wouldn’t get me my certificate in time.
The instructors at Driveright work with students to help them become successful in their driver's education. When we have a student who does not have very many hours of driving experience at home, it can seem challenging for the student. The only reason you may feel you were taught a process differently is that perhaps the second instructor was trying to find a way to help you be successful with the maneuverability. I would find it difficult to accept that they looked you in the face and told you that you were going to fail. Instructors, Steve and Paul, understand the importance of positive reinforcement and never would have made a comment such a that. We want our students to do well and try to explain lessons in a way that works for that particular student based on their experience. The office hours are reduced so that we can add more on road hours to assist students in their completion. Best of Luck in your driving!
Negative experience: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Tina told us to our face that the instructor would pick up my daughter from our house. The day of the drive we're waiting on the driver and get a call saying that we were supposed to meet at their office. Tina lied and said she never said that and was extremely unprofessional and rude! We had to pay $40 to reschedule even though we could make it to the office in 10 minutes. My daughter had 2 of her drives pushed pack by the driver (one at the last minute) and we just had to deal with it and still pay $40 because of Tina's misinformation. Tina knows that the kids don't have many options because of the long wait times and I feel that's why she is treating customers like this. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND GO ELSEWHERE! Tina needs some customer service training ASAP!
I am sorry you misunderstood the information provided at registration. Driveright has not picked any students up from home since March of 2020, prior to Covid. The hundreds of other students that Driveright has signed up did not have a problem with this arrangement and were successful with their completion.
Fantastic experience: My son loved his instructor Randy. He also made it very convenient and worked around my son's busy schedule. I would highly recommend Randy and his company to anyone!!!!
Negative experience: We had a horrible experience with Driveright. Here's a brief summary. On my final on road, the instructor took it upon herself to keep me an hour over, therefore, messing up the rest of my days' schedule. Tina; the front desk worker, lied about the completion paper being sent. This ultimately delayed my final drivers test by over six weeks. Thanks Driveright.
Driveright understands the importance of handling paperwork in a timely manner as all of our students are striving toward a driving test appointment. We finished your drives on 6/24 and you did not bring us your certificate for your online completion until 8/10. Students can have their certificates mailed, which you chose or pick them up for quicker delivery. We wish you the best in your driving experiences.
Fantastic experience: Very reasonably priced and great customer service! My son had a great experience with his driving instructors! Kudos to them for teaching maneuverability as we didn’t do that with him at all and he received 100% on that section of the driving test! Definitely recommend this place and will be using them again in two years for our daughter!
It was a pleasure working with you and your son! So glad to hear he did awesome on his test! We appreciate you taking the time to post your comments and will look forward to seeing you in a couple years.
Negative experience: I was behind one of the student drivers this morning. They need to be taught how to drive the posted speed. If they can't do that then get them off of the road.
Thank you for your concern. Please remember everyone learns at a different pace and we work to help new drivers build their confidence and experience. Weather conditions, traffic and environment may necessitate an adjustment in speed verses what the posted speed limit may be.
Negative experience: I was told that they would offer adult driving courses the following month and they put a name on a list, said they would call me. It’s the next month, and they never call, I call back they push it back another month, I wait patiently for a call about when I can book and never hear back. I called today and asked and they tell me they get rid of adult lessons all together. They could of called and told me they don’t offer the service any longer. Could of took my business somewhere else.
Fantastic experience: The drives were helpful and i would not have passed my test without the help of these wonderful people. They rescheduled me quickly even with corona and were respectful but not afraid to tell you the blunt truth. Would very recommend .
Negative experience: My husband and I have put 2 of our kids through this school. The 2nd time was our fault. This place is awful. They do not teach your kid anything. You will actually have to go back a research them anything that they have learned from this place. Bad expiernce the first time and ever worse the 2nd. Just cause there is a coupon pay the extra for the other school. You will thank yourself.
Fantastic experience: My drive were every easy. I had a wonderful driving instructor and it was every easy
Fantastic experience: This was a great experience! Drives were scheduled quickly. Staff was professional and curtious. My son Aced his test, and manueverability was tought wonderfully. Will be sending the twins next year!
Fantastic experience: Great experience! My drives were scheduled fast and Paul was great a teaching maneuverability.
Fantastic experience: I did my drives and had no problems
Negative experience: Classroom times were flexible. trying to schedule drives is a nightmare of an experience. My daughter had to wait 3 weeks for a call back to schedule her 4 drives. Then there was a conflict so one of the drives was cancelled. After my daughter left multiple messages with their owner and ONLY scheduler, Tina, I finally got involved and called. I was then told that she would have to call me back. This is after waiting almost a month after trying to reschedule. Terrible customer service. I have other kids who will be needing classes and driveright has lost my business.
