Fantastic experience: The BMV didn’t have any appointments for driving tests, so we used CIESC for that so my 18 yo daughter could get her license. She was very nervous, but Ben helped her stay calm, answered all her questions, and then tested her. It was a quick, easy experience.

Fantastic experience: After some hiccups and ironing things out, we had the best instructor! Mr Owens really adapted to my daughters busy schedule and assisted in getting her behind the wheel time in quickly! We appreciated him so much!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had Gwendolyn Jackson as her instructor through CIESC. She was wonderful! We did have to wait a couple of months for an initial time to open up, but then it was easy to schedule with Ms. Jackson for all her lessons. She gave my daughter lots of practical advice, and focused on driver safety and awareness of her surroundings. My daughter felt very comfortable with Ms. Jackson because she was patient and calm.

Fantastic experience: Beat service I have ever had never canceled on me and always open to droves when ever I need to drive great instruction Terri ridge as my instructor was great helped me learn the road and become a great driver hope I pass my test first try

Negative experience: This place was recommended by our school website for driving. It stated “estimated wait time” of 8 weeks to wait for a driving instructor. At the 8 week date, 4 more weeks was added to the estimated wait. Upon calling, they couldn’t even guarantee that it would happen within those 4 weeks. We asked for a refund, however they KEPT an “administrative fee” of 50 dollars and did not give a full refund. If they have too many students in order to meet the estimated time, they need to put a restriction on how many can sign up. They are simply taking money from people at this point. *****WOULD NOT RECOMEND*****

Fantastic experience: I have had two daughters recently complete their driving instruction with Mr. Lovejoy. He was very easy going and patient with both girls. They both had good experiences with him. Only potential thing to know is drop off/pick up is at the Compass Center instead of the high school. My children attend school in Perry Township and I know some schools have longer waits, but from the time we entered permit information on website to when they got their instructor assignments it was approximately 4 weeks. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend Mr. Lovejoy as an instructor if your kids go to Southport/Perry.

Negative experience: Last week a student decided to make a left turn at the last minute and jumped into front of me with no turn signal. I had to slam on my breaks. I politely reported the incident via there website so they could just remind the student to look and use their signal and safely make a decision to turn. If I was on my motorcycle I would have wrecked. Instead of responding with a, "we'll remind the student" or something of that nature, they decided to go back and forth with me in an email saying they didn't see the incident on their cameras. Why would I waste my time to even send you the details to make this up. They pretty much refused to offer the suggestions to the student and that's disturbing.

We reviewed and shared the video footage and provided clear evidence showing that the student activated their turn signal well in advance—at least 100 feet before the intersection—and carefully followed the yellow line while making a left turn, ensuring they did not cross it. We always prioritize safety and appreciate feedback, but in this case, the footage shows the student adhering to safe driving practices.

Positive experience: DO NOT schedule any driving lessons at Pike. The instructor that goes there, Mr. Craig, is absolutely horrendous. He screams the entire time. When asking for clarification, when he was screaming “left hand left hand left hand” while on a straight road, he says “use your head and figure it out”. His job is to TEACH. Not to scream and tell the kids to figure it out. He also goes against what the online education says. They are instructed over and over to put hands at 9 and 3. He said “thats a dumb rule and I am not following it.” How do you have someone that refuses to teach, and goes against YOUR educational videos?!

Fantastic experience: My son completed driver Ed through this company. While, my oldest son’s driver education experience was much smoother thru his high school 7 years ago, we got thru this process. My son’s instructor was Pack Craig. My son enjoyed him and gained important tips for driving: Mr Craig does not complete driving test so we scheduled with Clarence Brabson who was friendly and helpful. He gave my son statistics about teenage drivers/advice which I appreciated. He gave advice and made the driving test another learning experience as well as pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I was hesitant to enroll our 15 yo son after reading some of the reviews but have been so impressed with CIESC and instructor Randy. Completing the courses online was effortless. It's great for busy kids to have the option to complete these online when it works for them. Despite the website saying driver wait times were about 12 weeks out we were assigned an instructor within a week. There is more than enough availability with a variety of hours on weekdays and the weekend. I also love the convenience of them providing a vehicle for lessons and the driver's test along with having your child's school being the meeting point. Randy's calm demeanor and thoughtful advice have been much appreciated. If you're unsure of which service to enroll your child in, look no further because CIESC is the best choice.

Negative experience: Instructor only periodically released his schedule, and all slots would book up by the time we checked. Instructor also cancelled 2 classes just days before because he was on vacation. Now we're +90 days out and need to pay for an extension to TRY and fit in the remaining classes.

For context, all students are allotted 90 days to complete 6 - 1hr drive lessons. This provides 84 extra days for any scheduling conflicts. Mr. Rubino, thank you for sharing your feedback. It is unfortunate that we were unable to resolve your issues with scheduling prior to your 90 day deadline. We will pass on the calendar concerns with your instructor. We are positive he will work with you as best as he can to complete any remaining lessons.

Negative experience: Scheduling to get an instructor will take months and months. They will charge you for cancelled class even if the instructor cancelled. Would not listen to me when I told them we did not cancel the class and and that I needed to have my $50 fee refunded to my checking account. tThe lady even acknowledged that the instructor cancelled the class due to a funeral. So why was I charged? My son could not schedule any more classes until the fee was paid! I asked to speak to someone else who could help me- billing, her supervisor anyone… SHE hung up on me! I even tried calling back TWICE. NO ONE PICKED UP MY CALL.Clearly I was being dismissed. I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service. VERY RUDE AND DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH. DONT USE THEM. LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Fantastic experience: I have had two children that have gone through the program and a third about to start the driving portion and our experiences overall have been great. They are priced competitively. We have only done the online courses, which prepared my kids well for the permit test. Yes, you will have to be put on a waitlist to be assigned an instructor and sometimes it can be several weeks. However, you can still have your child drive with you in the meantime. Not a big deal. CIESC staff is always responsive to my questions and concerns. We have requested and used Joel Black as our driving instructor and my two kids had a great experience with him teaching them. He communicates well with both the kids and I with what they need to work on. Parents- don’t expect the six one-hour lessons to teach your kid how to drive. You will have to practice with them, so start while you are on the waitlist instead of complaining.

Negative experience: Over here one Star is not for this company but the instructor.His name is Joel Black he came to take drive test of my daughter.He is very unprofessional ,rude and no way should be put to test to high schoolers or anybody in general. While she was driving he was snapping in front of her face that she have to change lane boom boom. While she was doing parallel parking before she finishes as she took time he held the steering and yelled thats it you dont to. When came to an end of the test he cane to me(mom) and said loud that she is no where close to drive on the road .How under confidence my daughter went after hearing that. When asked what she did wrong he said biggest mistake is she taking long time to change lane she has to go boom boom. Well when asked have she done any dangerous action he said no. Also he said she can get her car get hit from back and call you then will yu be happy. He could not tell me any thing more than this that she is driving safe and taking time. I am very much okay if he would have said that she needs more practice and confidence . That person should be fired so no-one go through all this .

Negative experience: wait, wait, wait for an instructor...that is the summary. Waiting 2 months after completing the online work just to start the driving training is not reasonable. They need to hire more drivers. I would look elsewhere if I could redo this process

Negative experience: my instructor was a really good and understanding on what i knew and didn’t. helped me with grasping all information needed. good at communication and setting up driving time. but the guy i took the drivers test was very disrespectful towards me with his words and applying i wasn’t good at parallel parking and that he was gonna fail me. raised his voice and couple of times and really didn’t seem to enjoy his job in helping kids understand.

Negative experience: Horrible turnover time. Website says upto 8 weeks to be assigned. Their excuses are they can’t make people become instructors...my response is stop allowing kids to sign up if you can’t supply adequate service. Limit the number of kids to the number of instructors....but that doesn’t pay the bills I guess. CEISC offers a full refund, but you would still need to pay another company, but now you go back on to another wait list...and possibly pay even more. Find any other company than CIESC. Poor management of resources.

Negative experience: No regard for tragedy. Rude staff. They lock your acct but still charge you for sessions you're not able to cancel! I had an unfortunate vehicle accident which resulted in lack of transportation. I was basically told too bad for your loss, your child should have been responsible. My child's permit which she just obtained earlier this year has now been revoked because of an unforeseen and unfortunate accident. The last thing on someone's mind is to call drivers ed after a terrible car accident!

Negative experience: I would give ZERO stars if I could as well. VERY DIFFICULT to work with. Rules changed since my son went thru process. Very confusing and poor customer service. Rude emails back when asking questions to try and understand procedure changes and rude customer service on the phone. DO your research and pursue other avenues for Driver's ED for your child. MAJOR HEADACHES to work with.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Such a difficult process. Extremely hard to get times that work and constantly told to work with the driving instructor. My son is signed up for a different program and we were able to schedule all of the drive times in advance. I didn’t realize there was a better program out there until I refused to have my son go through ciesc like my daughter.
