Fantastic experience: My eldest son did a drivers ed program elsewhere and unfortunately he did not learn as much as I expected. With my youngest I decide to use a different school. I heard good things about Gotham Driving so I was glad to hear that they are now running drivers ed. Even though the lessons have 4 kids in the car, my son was able to learn even by sitting in the car when it wasn’t his turn to drive. Mark taught him the foundation of being a good driver and also went over what is needed to successfully pass the road test. There was one afternoon that there were no other kids schedule so I actually joined their lesson and I learned some things that I didn’t know after years of driving! After my son finished his 6 required hours of driving, he still wanted to attend and get more hours in and Mark was able to accommodate him. I’m happy to say that once the program was done, my son took his road test and passed on his first try! I know everyone has different experiences but I wanted to share that despite any hiccups, this school delivered a quality service and the kids like it which is a major plus :).

Fantastic experience: I have been using the services of Gotham for many years now. I have 3 children and 2 have their licenses after taking lessons with this school. My youngest recently got her permit so I reached out to Gotham again. They have a new woman, Lenice, who is now working in the office. She was helpful and very thorough in explaining their services and accommodating my daughter’s schedule. We have spoken on the phone and she also provided me with their email in case I had any other questions. I have needed to make some changes to the package I purchased and she has been great at replying to me via email even during off hours of the business. Their flexibility has been so important especially with our ever changing schedules. I requested Mark as my daughter’s instructor and she loves him! After her first lesson, I noticed a confidence in her the next time I took her out to practice. There is something to be said about the longevity of a business and they have been around forever in our community for a reason. Thank you Mark & Lenice! Will continue to send referrals your way.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a wonderful experience with Gotham Driving School. I was very nervous about driving. My instructor Mark was patient, understanding and made me feel super comfortable. I was apprehensive about parallel parking but his technique on how to do it perfectly every time was spot on! He even came to me and I live in Westchester. Highly recommend their services!

Negative experience: I highly recommend Priannag driving school if you are looking for driving lessons in the Bronx area. There you will find the instructors to be punctual and reliable, and everyone involved to be polite and professional—all of which you will sadly not find here.

Negative experience: Using this school only because it is with the driver's Ed program for our local schools. Absolutely no communication, no set schedules even though parents had to choose schedules, they don't answer the texts they tell you to send, and they constantly switch driving appointments without warning. Parents are left driving their children to appointments only to be told the appointment time is later in the day, drive back, same thing. Numerous times this has happened. I will be sending them a bill for my mileage and gas for all the rescheduling they've done without warning.

Positive experience: The lessons I have received so far were great. One problem, though, I pre purchased a packet of ten lessons, was scheduled (and received) 4, which is their process. I was told they wold schedule the first four and then they would contact me and we would schedule the balance after those were completed. Problem is I have been calling and emailing for a month and haven't been able to reach any one to schedule the remaining lessons. So I would recommend folks buy lessons a la carte, one at a time, rather than purchasing a package. Otherwise, I was happy with the quality of the lessons. Andy was my instructor.

Negative experience: This was a terrible experience. I called this school for weeks on end. No one responded to me and I tried multiple ways to reach the school. I was schedule for a road test I did not agree to before I even took the 5 hour class. I was also scheduled for a lesson I did not agree to and it was not until I became upset at the lack of care for customers, that I received a response. Save your money and go some place that respects and values their students!

Fantastic experience: I would one-thousand percent recommend Gotham, specially Mark, my instructor. Mark's teaching was very kind and gentle. In hindsight, I actually could not imagine having a different instructor. I was totally lucked out to have Mark as my instructor! I had epic fear of driving. My driving did not just test the instructor’s patience, it actually tested the instructor’s psychological stability. Several times I put Mark’s life in danger due to my anxiety. But, thankfully Mark is the most chilled instructor in the entire galaxy. Not fazed he said it was quite an adventure. I was actually thinking this dude must have gone through World War Three so nothing could faze him. I am still amazed today that he never scolded me once! Irene! I decided to take classes with Gotham immediately after I spoke with Irene. Her no-nonsense demeanor instantly earned my trust. Honestly, I liked her on the spot! Gotham has a website that is easy to read, straightforward and offers everything you might have questions about. Needless to say, I am driving regularly now.

Negative experience: The lack of communication and professionalism displayed by their manager left me frustrated and dissatisfied with the company. She is dismissive and unwilling to accommodate, considering I have paid hundreds already and she could not give me 5 minutes of her time. Not for nothing, the instructor was ok. But I wouldn’t recommend if you want an institution that values their customers and not just the money.

Fantastic experience: I had a very good driving instructor. My instructor was Andy. He Kept everything very simple and was always available and flexible with times. I was very prepared for the road test. I passed my test very easily. The office was slow at times but the fact that my teacher helped me improve so fast so I didn't need many lessons anyway.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Andy. He was very knowledgeable, professional and has a sense of humor. For me I always wanted to learn to drive but I didn’t feel confident and lack many skills with my driving. My husband’s job unfortunately involved traveling for months so I wanted to take the initiative to practice and get over my fear so that if I ever had any emergency/ errands I can drive myself. I taken the road test in the past with a different school and was unsuccessful. I finally can say after 6 classes with Gotham I passed my road test and not afraid to drive although there’s still more to learn I feel confident that I can do it. I told Andy I wish I would of started sooner since I’m 30 but he made me feel good about starting now and not waiting more time to pass. Even if you don’t pass the first time keep trying you will get there. Andy helped me work on problem areas such as my left/right turns, steering the wheel correctly and merging. Andy was straightforward and didn't make me feel overwhelmed. Whenever I messed up he was very patient and would make me laugh and encouraged me to try again. Practicing with Andy has made me feel less afraid to drive and parallel park!! Thank you Gotham driving school and Irene who was super sweet she would always call me to check in on how I was doing and took care of scheduling my lessons and road test. She was super encouraging and caring . I would definitely look into the websites and check out the lessons with Andy.

Negative experience: Irene the manager is the worst, she is unprofessional and extremely difficult to communicate with in terms of scheduling the lessons.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous to drive as an adult learner. Mark was a great teacher and helped me feel confident about my driving. He also taught me useful driving techniques beyond just what was on the driving test. He was honest about my driving skills and explained problem areas in a very straightforward manner. He never yelled if I messed up and he was very patient. Thanks to him, parallel parking was the easiest part of my road test and I now have my license! Prices are easy to find on the website (no hidden fees or unexpected costs). I also like that his driving school only takes one student at a time to the driving test. Mark is in high demand as an instructor, so it is harder to schedule classes with him than with other instructors at the school, but it was worth it for me. I highly recommend Gotham and mark in particular. I never had issues with scheduling and Irene normally picked up the phone when I called (she was always lovely over the phone). Note that DMV road tests are scheduled months in advance right now (I heard they closed a while during covid so that might be why it’s backed up) so if the driving school schedules your test, don’t be surprised if it’s 2-3 months from now, but it’s not Gotham’s fault. If you want a sooner test, you need to schedule yourself and keep checking at all hours because you can find canceled earlier appointments that way.

Fantastic experience: Mark is an excellent and very professional driving instructor. He taught both of our sons to drive and made sure they were ready to drive down the highway of life... He has just the right temperament to deal with young new less-experienced drivers.

Negative experience: Really bad service. Don’t even recommend to call, the lady that always picks up the phone is very rude. I called to schedule one class and she refused to give it to me. Sounded like all she cares about is money, not to mention racist.

Fantastic experience: So good, patient and informative. My instructor was Mark and after 6 classes, I felt comfortable and confidant enough to take the test and passed it. Highly reccommend it!!!

Fantastic experience: Professional, reliable, informative and supportive! Both the class and the driving instruction were top notch! Really glad I found them close by. Now that I got my license, I'm going to take their Defensive Driving Course, to reduce insurance rates by 10% . I much prefer to be in a classroom learning with others than on line!

Positive experience: I took five class package along with road test that went perfect for me.Mark is a very nice and decent instructor,he never yelled at me for my mistakes during lessons,he taught each and every step in a pretty nice way.the only thing which bothered me is about the school management,that they made the road test appointment on some other day which I asked for and they didn't even inform me about that .well the good thing is that I passed my road test in first attempt and I definitely recommend to take driving lessons with Mark
