Premier School of Driving
Information about Premier School of Driving
Opening hours
Premier School of Driving is known to have some of the best drivers education facilities in New Mexico. Here at Premier School of Driving we want our students to have the training and experience to help them develop the fundamental skills that will become good driving habits on New Mexico’s aggressive roadways.
Statistics show that traffic crashes are the leading cause of death among teens in New Mexico and we plan to help change that, one student at a time. We don’t want to push someone through programming just to satisfy their desire to get a license. We believe it is essential to work together with parents and guardians to give teens practice and real life experiences so they stay safe driving on the roads.
Premier School of Driving: Reviews
Negative experience: Please, save your time and money. They gladly take your money but do not provide the services. You can never obtain appointments for one-on-one driving time. This keeps your student driver from advancing.
Hi Theresa. I'm so sorry you are having trouble obtaining drive time. We are happy to help you. We do have drive time available. Please send me your contact info or email us at [email protected]. We will gladly help you.
Positive experience: This was an okay school to go too, although I believe it wasn't the best it had great instructors like Tanya S. who made drive times fly by with her amazing personality.
Negative experience: BEWARE! Fraudulent business practices and exploitation of minors! If I could give “negative stars” I would! My daughter, paid over $350 for this driving school in February 2023. She completed the classroom course wonderfully. She received her driver's permit at MVD and has completed well over the required practice driving time, with us. However, she has not had any success with scheduling ANY driving time with a Premier driving instructor. She has made countless attempts to schedule time in their automated online scheduling system since September 2023. Time and time again, the system says there are no times available. She has continued checking the website consistently over the past 4 months but is always told that there are no times available. She has also tried emailing the business multiple times, only to be told that there are no times available. This is absolutely unacceptable. My husband and I have resorted to assisting her in attempting to schedule her drive times, but to no avail. Apparently, there is not a functional office phone number for this business that we can call and speak to someone. We have been told that email is the recommended way to communicate with Premier, which we did. Someone finally did respond to our email and said that our daughter could have an hour of drive time the morning of 1/7/24. When we tried to confirm the appointment before driving all the way to the Montaño location (from the East Mountains). A person finally responded to us the morning of the lesson and said they didn't have times available, anymore. Again, this is completely UNACCEPTABLE! How are students intended to complete this course if there are NEVER any driving times available. We paid a premium fee for this course. We expect a premium service, and for this company to live up to their end of the contract, otherwise this is what is considered, fraudulent business practice and exploitation of a minor. Yes, this company is EXPLOITING these young people. They are paying for a time sensitive service, but are then unable to complete it, due to the negligence of Premier. I understand there are many, many more young people in the same predicament as our daughter. Apparently, this exploitation is widespread. We are extremely disappointed and would like a full refund, as we are now having to seek out another driving school, so she can finally obtain her provisional license. She has school and work obligations which she needs a driver's license to be successful at. If they are unable to uphold their end of the contract, or give a refund, we plan on filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau, as well as potentially filing a claim in small claims court to gain a full refund. In addition, we will be contacting local news stations to inform the public of these business practices and to warn others.
Hey Georgia. I'm very sorry to hear you were upset. It sounds like you spoke to the office manager and we resolved the misunderstanding about the drive time this weekend, and also got you set up for some future times. Please know we will do everything we can to make your experience great from here. These reviews really hurt us as a small business and we try to avoid them at all costs. Again, we are very sorry and we are here to help.
Negative experience: Don't waste your money. My child has been trying to complete her (minimal) driving hours for 18 months now. There is NEVER an available time slot for her. At this point, she'll be 18 and could have skipped driver's ed, saved a bunch of money and just went straight the test at the MVD on her 18th bday. Something seems shady about this place. They have failed at rendering the service I paid 100s of dollars for. Pretty sure that's illegal. I personally know several other parents that are in this same boat with Premier. This issue needs to be rectified ASAP. Unacceptable business practices at Premier. It's always something like we are short an instructor or vehicle, etc. Ok fine. Sorry their short...QUIT accepting new students until You are properly staffed.
So sorry you are having a hard time getting drive time. The process should not take 18 months. We are happy to help. Please let me know what your student's name is so we can contact you directly or send us an email at [email protected] and we will get you all set up.
Negative experience: This driving school is a joke they didn’t give us the required tests such as the DWI test for my daughter to get her license. Also, there are no driving times available except for a location extremely far away from us and usually only one available when I try to contact, the office no one ever answers and the voicemail is full. I believe for us not getting the proper tests and driving time I should get a refund. My daughter also was left out of class early multiple times, and the last day of school was canceled because I did the quiz early. I feel like I was over charge for an incomplete class and I’m Extremely frustrated
Hi there. No DWI test is required. That's part of our program and certificate of completion. Once your student does the 7 hrs of driving they get the cert and can then go get licensed. No dwi test needed. Just written and road test which we provide. Please email us at PremierSchoolofDriving @gmail.com and we will be happy to help you
Negative experience: Worst customer service. First I called multiple times to pay the course fee, and left multiple messages, but no one ever returned a phone call, much less picked up a phone. Then it took weeks to get one of the 7 hours of drive time scheduled. My daughter finally got her driving hour scheduled but we got our time mixed and they called to charge us $40. That is fine, but they do not answer the phone to take payment. They did leave a message letting her know she had to pay the fee before she takes her next lesson. How are we suppose yo pay when no one answers? Based on the reviews I’m reading here it’s a common problem with their customer service. Will not recommend to anyone.
So sorry you had a bad experience. We are happy to help make it right however we can. Please email us at [email protected]
Negative experience: My daughter signed up for Zoom classes and drive time two years ago. She still doesn't know how to drive. It was during covid, so we did the online Zoom class, and that was fine. She did one hour of face to face driving, which was okay. However, every time we tried to schedule drive time, we couldn't get any. Every time we tried to get up at 5am on the one day a month they dropped the drive times, they either didn't have any open, or when we did sign up, they would cancel. We had some grace as we knew things were difficult with COVID, but over time, the owner, Adrienne Baird, was extremely rude when we tried to discuss our concerns with her. So, we have had to pay another $400 to another driving school to get our daughter drive times. Ms. Baird has time to write 5 paragraph rude emails to us, but no time to schedule drive times or to refund our money.
Tanya I was never rude with you. Me and my staff tried multiple times to help you. All of the students from your daughters 2020 class have finished up without issue. I offered to help with drive time even though our contract states you have a year to complete the course. I also offered to give you a partial refund. You are unpleasable. We did what we could to try to help. The full refund you demanded and threatened us with, is not happening, as we provided a drivers education course and some drive time to your daughter.
Negative experience: They do not respond to phone calls. They do not offer driving time. They did not provide my daughter with her certificate of completion.
So sorry you had a bad experience. We are happy to help make it right however we can. Please email us at [email protected]
Negative experience: Please don't make the mistake my son did. This company will easily take your check & you will never be able to schedule driving time. The website simply does not work & no one will answer the phone. It is a scam & so sad because they prey on young kids that do not know any better.
So sorry you had a bad experience. We are happy to help make it right however we can. Please email us at [email protected]
Negative experience: DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE!!! You are promised 7 free lessons with an instructor when you pay the $360 price tag for the class and then they make it extremely difficult to get any time with the instructor. I have tried everything to get a class and so far the only thing that has worked is signing up early in the morning on the first day of the month. It is only Dec 2 and there are already no times available at all locations. I'm disappointed and going to the Better Business Bureau.
So sorry you had a bad experience. We are happy to help make it right however we can. Please email us at [email protected]
Negative experience: This whole experience has been pretty frustrating. You pay up front for 7 driving sessions, and it’s almost impossible to get a spot to schedule the drive times. I guess they hope you’ll just get annoyed and go away without ever getting your drive times in. I’ve emailed multiple times, I’ve checked the schedule dozens of times and there’s nothing available. No one cares, no one will help you, no one answers the phone. Giving them 2 stars because when we have actually gotten a spot, the experience has been fine, except when they cancelled on us at 6am for a 7am drive time

Negative experience: Warning to all Parents!!! Do not waste your time or money here! These people are all about money. Continue to register students without any driving time availability. They have a lotto type scheduling system that NEVER has availability for hours. This has nothing to do with post Covid pandemic because I sent my son here in 2019 and I had to pay for him to complete his driving hours at Best Price Driving School. My daughter started driving school in Texas, had all her driving time but we moved back to Albuquerque and I know I should’ve known better but this was the only school with a schedule that worked for us back in April!! (Now I know why!) Class registration was great and they are quick to take your money but will not answer phones and never have their offices open unless they have a class so you get no answers. So now I have to double pay again for another one of my children to get their hours so we can get their license. Being a new driver is nerve racking enough. Don’t waste time or money here! Go to BEST PRICE DRIVING for inexpensive but great service and McGinnis is expensive but organized!

Negative experience: RUN AWAY! IMPOSSIBLE to contact anyone at this place of business. They take your money, and do not provide ANY behind the wheel drive times.
So sorry you had a bad experience. We are happy to help make it right however we can. Please email us at [email protected]
Negative experience: Similar to the 2 reviews below, my son and I haven’t been able to make contact with anyone regarding questions we have. I’ve called a few times and between my son and I, have left multiple emails. What’s the point of having contact info if no one’s going to be on the other end to manage communications? The website isn’t helpful enough to answer my questions or I wouldn’t have to call in the first place. Really displeased with the lack of customer service.
So sorry you had a bad experience. We are happy to help make it right however we can. Please email us at [email protected]
Negative experience: Similar to another person, I've tried to call and wasn't able to leave a voicemail. The website won't allow me to see the schedule and go to Step 2 after selecting the location. You're not a good business if customers can't get in touch or understand your service offering.
Im so sorry you had trouble reaching us. If you'll email us at [email protected] we will be happy to help however we can. Sometimes we miss calls due to being out with students or on road tests. We greatly apologize. We are working on getting the fall schedule posted so you will be able to get past step 2 shortly. Again, we are very sorry you had trouble reaching us and we are hopeful you will give us an opportunity to help with your driver education needs.
Negative experience: I have called numerous times to try and get better information, unfortunately they never have answered their phone. For some of us their web site is unclear and I just wanted some questions answered. Going to their competitors
Hey Tommy. I'm soo soo sorry you are having a hard time reaching us. We don't see any emails or messages from you in our system. We would love the opportunity to earn your business. If you'll send us an email at [email protected] I'll be sure we answer all of your questions and that someone reaches out to you right away. We would really like another chance to help and earn your business if you'll give us the opportunity.
Fantastic experience: Frank is a very comical and fun instructor. Very kind. Overall great experience here.
Thank you!
Negative experience: Can’t get drive times. Hours of emails with no result. I’m ready to go to small claims court. Too much of a hassle. Go with someone else.
Hi Linda. We just called and left you a message. I'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time but we have a thread of several emails back and forth with you trying to help with any issue you are having. We also show that your son has driven 3 hours with us so far and has his 4th scheduled. Since he started class in June he won't be able to get his provisional until December and I can assure you, we will be able to finish up his last 3 hours before then. We strive to have great customer service so please continue to call or email us and we will be more than happy to help with whatever we can.
Fantastic experience: The driving instructor and the women who ran the course were very nice and helpful for my daughter. There were some issues test score making it to DMV, but they helped to get this resolved. It was an issue with DMV, not the school. My daughter's confidence in driving after finishing with Premier has been outstanding. Thank you!
Thank you for the great review!
Positive experience: Good
Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and disorganized. This school partners with MVD-Now for driving tests, but there is a severe lack of communication between the two organizations. Thus, appointments made with MVD-Now don't show up in Premier's schedule, and the employees couldn't care less about resolving this problem. Employees essentially make up rules regarding the prerequisites for getting a driver's license (e.g. Saying the written test must be taken before the driving test, saying a permit is needed if you're over 18), and become aggressive when they're questioned. Stay far away from this "driving school."
