STMC Honda: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Great experience, will come back soon. Excellent instructor. Thanks Kylee very professional indeed.....!
Fantastic experience: This was my first place to learn how to ride a 2 wheel motorcycle and if you pay attention to the instructions and everything in the classroom you gonna learn no matter what the coaches are super nice and patient, all you need is listen and try to apply it. The price of the class is really worth it you gonna have so much fun.
Fantastic experience: Great place to start you motorcycle ride or refresh you skills for the road ,great instructor,s and staff amazing new motorcycle to learn on , thanks you guys for the great service
Fantastic experience: Took the California Motorcycle Safety Program offered at STMC Honda and passed on my first time taking the class. The course costed 425 dollars and took place over the span of 2 days. The course is a pass/fail course, so you aren't guaranteed to get your MTC certification when purchasing this course. Something nice about this course though is that if you are failed from the course they provide you the opportunity to retake the course again within a 2 month span for free. In a class of 6 people, 5 passed. Both days start off at 7AM, and have you in a classroom until 10:15 AM learning about different parts of motorcycling such as the importance of gear and strategies to ride safely and efficiently. After 10:15AM they had us taking a lunch break until 11AM, and that's when we started riding the motorcycles both days. The first day of riding focused heavily on getting us used to the motorcycles, specifically the controls, maneuvering, shifting, using the clutch and brakes, and most importantly looking where you want to go. The 2nd day of riding focused on a brief review from the first day and more focus on low speed maneuvering, cornering, swerving, and generally emergency maneuvers. On the 2nd day you take a written exam around 9AM, and this is needed to pass the STMC Honda course (Different from DMV written exam), and then after riding we took the Driving Skills Assessment. You need to pass the written and driving exams to pass. A tip for the written exam is to review the review questions the day before from the book they provide online, and to pay attention in class. For the Driving Exam, a big tip is to always look where you want to go as this helps with driving and is a big part of the grading. I didn't have any previous experience riding motorcycles before this class, neither manual vehicles. I only had some experience riding bicycles beforehand, which says a lot about how helpful the teachers were considering I passed. Gear is provided for free, the only thing you need to bring for yourself is a pair of non rip pants such as denim jeans. This means the helmet, jacket, gloves, and shoes can all be provided and borrowed for free from the Riding Center. The motorcycles are also provided, and they were nearly brand new since the riding center gets a new set of motorcycles each December from what I understood. We had the opportunity to choose between riding a Honda CB300R or a Honda Rebel 250, and I chose the 300R since it fit my size better. The people who instructed me were George, Russell, and Ripp. They were all extremely helpful in teaching and were very encouraging. They did a great job in making me feel comfortable and with their positive attitudes and patience with me I really can't credit them enough with me passing this course. 10/10 trainers Before taking this course, I'd say it's required you should know how to balance a bicycle at the bare minimum. Another skill you need to carry as a beginner is the ability to absorb as much information as possible, and to take advice well. The teacher's advice was extremely helpful and it helped me a lot to seriously try applying their advice as soon as I could. Overall, I heavily recommend this course to anyone interested or curious in learning how to ride motorcycles. The people there are great and the retake policy, in my opinion, is extremely generous.
Negative experience: Didnt learn shit instructors dont wanna repeat themselves when ur on a noisy bike this school just wants to take your money and the instructors are rude dont go here you can literally learn more on youtube for free
Fantastic experience: Really nice people I learned a lot
Fantastic experience: This is an awesome class. It is fast-paced but not overwhelming. The instructors are very concerned about your safety while taking the course as well as when you're on the streets. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Great place instructors are great and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Love this place george ripp and Brian are some awesome people they genuinely want you to pass but are all about safety things they repeat are things that u should retain great job honda for employing these great instructors
Fantastic experience: GEORGE is an amazing instructor, he will teach you everything you need to know to ride SAFELY. I recommend this course to anyone that wants to learn how to ride a motorcycle, from beginners to advanced. Enjoy the ride and DON’T BE LATE !!
Negative experience: 十分坑爹的驾校!穿的黑色牛仔裤说是弹力裤以此为借口让我重新交钱!
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this course!
Fantastic experience: They are very professional and informative.
Fantastic experience: Had great beginner motorcycle course with these guys. Good learning bike (Honda rebel 300), great instructors.
Fantastic experience: The instructors were friendly, helpful, and professional. I'd highly recommend this location to anyone looking to get their motorcycle license.
Fantastic experience: What an AMAZING facility!!!
Fantastic experience: The coaches where nice and respectable. I had a bit of experience beforehand but this class really taught me how to ride properly.
Fantastic experience: It was an awesome course learned a lot from it. Went in not knowing how to ride a street bike to knowing alot coming out. Trainers are awesome as well very patient and helpful. Worth the price, and valuable skill sets are learned from it.
Negative experience: Took the course in June. Failed riding portion. Went to take it in July but had covid.. called in to reschedule and was told I could retake this course within 12 months. Here we are in March and I called to reschedule and Danny picked up and told me their policy was 6 months then changed it to 60 days. After I explained to him my situation he looked into my account and said I was a no call no show to my second appt (not true). He called me a liar on the phone and told me there is nothing he can do.. This course sucks, the instructors act tough and aren’t very friendly. Danny is unprofessional and has zero customer service. Recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: They were fantastic! I want everyone to learn from them. It was fun, educational, and fantastic hands on experience. The instructors couldn't have done any better.
Fantastic experience: Thanks, I was councillled out. No fault of school. I am 81 years old and physically unable to keep up. Thanks, June Johnson
Fantastic experience: Pay attention to the instructors, and you'll have an amazing experience!!!
Fantastic experience: Awesome place to get your motorcycle training class. The instructors there are George, Mark, and Anthony great instructors. They teach you what you need to know, making sure that you get to know your bike and be good at driving it. This was my first time riding, I will admit I was scare of putting to much gas or stalling, and Yes it happened but with there instructions I was able corrected and keep going. They have different types of motorcycles depends what you want to ride or what you are comfortable with. They loan you the motorcycle gear if you don't have it. Also if you do decide to take the class read your ebook that they send you at at least half way it helps a lot. Your clothing should be long sleeve shirt, blouse, sweater., etc. As long is long sleeve. Jeans no tears on it at all, cannot wear low ankle shoes. One thing is sure each day you come out of there like you worked out at the Gym. But it's worth it! Remember to have fun, and ask questions don't be afraid because you will be surprised that even the experience drivers forgot or didn't know something. Take notes if you need to remember. Bring your lunch or food they have microwave, refrigerator and vending machines or if you like to go eat out there are places 5 min away from there. But just remember don't be late! By the way through my training I was singing " Born to be wild" Have fun learning, and riding your motorcycle, plus stay safe out there.
Fantastic experience: George, Anthony, and Brian are all so awesome there! They were really friendly and just wanted to help you learn to drive better. They gave instructions very clearly, if you needed to correct something they would tell you, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to start riding. 11
Fantastic experience: The instructors are awesome and the class provided a lot of good information
Fantastic experience: I came here for the DMV waiver and to learn new skills among other things motorcycle related. George and Mark are both great instructors. Thanks guys!
Fantastic experience: Bryan and Mark where the nicest guys and gave me all the the things I need to be safe and successful. I went from not having a clue on how to drive a motorcycle to feeling so comfortable I forgot I didn’t know how to ride a day ago. So don’t worry about not having any experience because if your willing to learn they’ll teach you how to ride. I truly had the best time of my life here, from actually learning the laws and how to be safe on a motorcycle to actually knowing how to drive one. Don’t worry about who you get because they’re all great and will they’ll give you 100% of everything you need to be a safe and successful rider.
Fantastic experience: Great instructors!
Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful way to learn riding skills. The teachers are very patient and helpful. Their classes are held at the Honda Rider Education Center in Colton.
