Advanced Driving School - New Albany

Fantastic experience: We could not be happier with the communication and instructor. They have a team of teachers who are very flexible to work with. Our son had about 40 hrs learning starting from scratch with us before we began the package drives with an instructor and it was the best path. Having the basics down means the instructor can focus on developing sharper skills before they test. The most important thing I can tell parents is do not wait till you are close to the date you're hoping to be licensed, start early and don't procrastinate

As someone who was nervous behind the wheel, I really appreciated his patience, calm energy, and clear instructions. He takes the time to explain everything in a way that makes sense and always stays professional but friendly. He created a relaxed learning environment that helped me feel more confident and in control. He doesn’t just teach you how to pass the test he teaches you how to be a safe and responsible driver for life. Highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive, especially if you’re new, anxious, or just want someone who truly cares about your success. Plus, he’s super respectful and easy to talk to. Negative experience: Giving two stars only because of the instructor Mr. Halter did a phenomenal job, however every interaction with office is horrendous. Can not ever get a hold of anyone via phone or email. Communication is key for any business, however this driving school is only succeeding at driveing parents crazy and customers away! I do not recommend using this company at all. Worst experience ever!!! Update: Yes, unfortunately I had already spent hours calling the office and getting no response, just like the first time we tried to get his permit you couldn't answer the phone so we went to your office surprise you were not there either. Thankfully your landlord was there and it took her to actually call you to get a response. I changed your rating to 1 star as you seem to only respond to Google reviews. I hope you learn to use a phone as well as Google one day

Fantastic experience: Worth every penny! Ask for Brandon! His driving lesson gave my wife so much peace of mind. She was nervous about our first kiddo getting out on the road and the services of ADS put her at ease! Today our son got his license!

Fantastic experience: This program was a great program, they really take time to show you everything and talk things through with you if you have any questions. I would recommend David Lagowski. He was a great coach and taught me a lot of things and was very easy to communicate with and can work with your sports and school schedule.

Overall great people to learn to drive from, as they will make sure you learn as much as possible within your six hours of driving with an instructor.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with ADS from start to finish! After completing my 30 hours of online learning, I was matched with a driving instructor very quickly. My instructor was Jamie and she was amazing! She makes you feel very comfortable, confident, has the patience of a saint, and to top it off has a terrific personality. Thanks to her, I was able to pass my driving test with Mike and I now have my license! I am thankful for Jamie and Mike for their assistance and kindness. They’re really awesome people! I would recommend this school to anyone! You’ll be in great hands! 10/10 ☺️

Fantastic experience: Advanced Driving was excellent. They picked my daughter up from our home in Jeff. They Communicated and scheduled so well around our busy lifestyle. They got us done in plenty of time before my daughter was eligible to take her test. I would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience. I love the convenience and the fact that they will pick up at your location. We didn't have to drive anywhere to meet her instructor. I also loved she could take her driver's test with them and not the BMV. Overall great experience with great communication.

Negative experience: I have called twice and left voices to call me back to set up time for driver instructor and sent messages via website twice over the last month and have not gotten a driver to call me back. Very frustrated! Are they still in business? I want a refund if they are not going to honor the 6 hours of driving instruction.

Negative experience: I payed for the 5 hour driving session nearly 2 months ago and they never called me back after a month. I sent them countless emails and have yet to receive my refund which was promised.

Negative experience: The terrible instructor made 3 cars in a row back up (unsafely).

Fantastic experience: We are SO HAPPY that we chose Advanced Driving School for my son's Driver's Ed! From a first hand experience, we now echo what so many reviews have said about this company. My son learned so much, and everyone was courteous. Driver's Ed can be an intimidating thing, but Advanced Driving School reassures the student and builds needed knowlege and confidence! Although my son only drove with him once, Brett was very quick with all of his communications. We were very happy with Joel who was nice, helpful, knowlegable, understanding and relaxed. My son became a more confident driver through his instruction! We'll actually miss these classes! Mike was also quick with his communications and put my son at ease, even though he was nervous to take his Driver Skills Test. Mike was kindhearted, caring, and professional. We could not have asked for better. I look forward to using this company when it's time for my other three children to take this class! Advanced Driving School certainly prepares it's students to be safe and responsible drivers.
