Fantastic experience: I have been driving for many years but have an international license so was required to take the NYS road test to gain my NYS license. I don't have a car so I needed to rent one to use during the test. For a very reasonable price, Rocco picked me up close to the test site, took me to my appointment and allowed me to use his instructor car. Rocco was very friendly and professional – he called me two hours before my test to confirm all of the details and where to meet. Highly recommended.

You will learn textbook driving simultaneously with defensive/safety techniques. I am glad that I chose this school and I am a proud graduate=)

Fantastic experience: Very happy. Rocco is a great guy who runs his own business and cares about students passing. Before I ever spoke to Rocco I had failed the driving test 3 times. First 2 times I was not prepared well enough. 3rd time was a grumpy proctor. 4th time I booked at the Havemeyer location as it had the soonest availability. I contacted Rocco (his office is nearby) for a car for the test and 1 lesson prior to get used to the car. His rates are REASONABLE! Other services will bankrupt you. Very friendly and answers the phone! Pre-paid and day of the test we met for the lesson. I was instantly at ease even though I was rusty not having driven for a few weeks. No pressure driving including all the basics for the test. Helpful tips. Didn't drive "for the sake of it" he was purposeful in all of the directions and routes he made me take. He even taught me a new parallel parking technique which I adopted even though I had been using a different method for 3 months and had not been docked on that part of the test w the prior method. I used this parking method on the test and it worked very smoothly. He checked in with me half way through the lesson "You doing alright? Good to keep going?" While waiting in line at the road test site, he also gave me very helpful last minute reminders and made efforts to ensure I was in the right state of mind going into it. He understood what my main concerns were and we addressed them verbally so I was comfortable. I passed. If I knew about him earlier I would have done more lessons with him vs. other service and probably would have passed sooner as well. Car used was a Toyota Corolla. It had 100k+ miles on it and bit jerky with accelerating but caused me no problems passing. Automatic windows if you need to adjust when it comes to parking. I think people with 1) nervousness 2) looking for a option that won't break the bank will be very happy working with Rocco to move onto the next stage of their life. Thank you sir! Note: I took the road test twice in Red Hook BK and once upstate in Norwhich. In terms of straightforwardness, no tricky streets, no tricky traffic interfering while you're doing yo thang - Havemeyer was by far the best location. It was me, the car, the road and the examiner - no suprises... recommend for any NYC-based test takers. Date: September 2022.

Negative experience: I dont recommend this place for young drivers because the car used is not so great its jolty and can be very nervewracking for new drivers. The instructor is always busy and does not remember your name and sometimes will reschedule. if you’re looking to get your road test done soon and pass this is not the place.

Fantastic experience: Ricky was mainly on time with picking me up for driving classes and if he was a little late he'd notify me early enough. The price paid for the package is very reasonable and the instructions he gave were very clear and helpful right through the start to my road test day. I got my license on my first try! Negative experience: If u want to get ur driver license please stay way from this school. They re only concern about the money. First of all, they won't pick you up neither drop u off. Secondly, the driver is always late, and when he comes he teaches two students at the same time. Thirdly, I registered for 12 lessons right after my 6 lessons he registered me to take the road test. I refused to take the road test because my 12 lessons was not completed. When I finally completed my 11 lessons he told me to pay $15.00 to registered for the road test $30.00 in order for him teach me for the road test why he still had extra lesson 1 for me.. the total amount for the 12 lessons inclouding appointment n car for the road test was $365.00. I had to paid extra $45.00.. worse off all I did not pass the road test.. please try ur best to stay away from this school.. before I registered, I read all the good reviews.. but they seems not to be true..it's all lies..

A- Safeway driving school has the best priced packages in the Bronx and the instructors are patient, knowledgeable and flexible with your schedule. In less then 1 month I gained a lot of experience behind the wheel, knowledge of the road and walked away with my drivers license on my first try!! Thank you Rocco!
