Fantastic experience: Tom is an excellent instructor. The one on one sessions mean you get real feedback as you're learning the vehicle. His teaching style and the order in which he teaches really gives you the confidence to safely and correctly drive a tractor-trailer. Going through training with CMV Tutor made the CDL practical test a breeze.

Fantastic experience: CMV Tutor is the place to go to get your CDL class “A”. Tom is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The reason I went with Tom was his emphasis on safety and being mindful of what you’re doing. He wants you to feel comfortable when you’re driving. Also make sure to study those pre trips. The pre trips tends to be harder than the actual driving.

Fantastic experience: I could not be happier choosing The CMV Tutor for a truck driving school. I have gotten my commercial learner's permit multiple times in the past, but was never able to get my license due to not having good schools/training where I lived. Thanks to Tom and The CMV Tutor, I was finally able to get my Class A License, and feel ready for an entry level driver position in the trucking industry. I am a full time Diesel Technician, so I was specifically looking for a school where I would be able to attend lessons during the evening hours or weekends. Tom is excellent at making time for his students and getting multiple lessons in during the week. If you want CDL driver lessons from someone with years of experience of driving and teaching, this is the school. Tom puts you through real-life driving scenarios (road construction, weather, multiple driving routes, etc.), which is so helpful for getting you more comfortable behind the wheel. You will actually learn how to drive a truck, not just how to pass the test. I went from having to ask my coworkers to pull trailers into the shop for me, to being able to comfortably maneuver a Semi tractor/trailer through rush hour traffic. I really cannot thank Tom enough for what he does.

Tom, the instructor, has been driving for over 40 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to his teaching. Tom's trucks, while older, are in excellent working condition. This provided a realistic learning experience since new drivers often won't be handed the keys to a brand-new truck. One of the standout aspects of Tom's instruction is his calm and fun manner. He makes the learning process enjoyable, which is essential when tackling something as challenging as driving a commercial vehicle. His patience and sense of humor helped ease any anxiety I had and made each lesson something to look forward to. Additionally, Tom was incredibly accommodating with my schedule. He was willing to work with me in the evenings and on weekends, and we did lessons in multiple locations. This flexible approach gave me a broad range of experience and exposure to different driving scenarios. The CMV Tutor provided me with all the required Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) so I could obtain my Class A CDL. Tom's insight into local and federal regulations potentially saved me months of waiting for testing. Even after some very nerve wracking days and making mistakes, he was always there to reassure me that it’ll all work out with time and practice. Fantastic experience: I started with Tom having no experience with semis or manual transmissions. Within a few weeks, I was driving through town comfortably. This is indicative of how good Tom’s training program is. He works around your schedule and is prompt in communication. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I went to Tom for CDL training in Wisconsin. I had been driving semi for farming for 5 years. I honestly thought I was ready for the exam before going to Tom. The pre-trip, backing and road test are much more involved and detailed than I had thought. I was no where near ready. After several short visits with Tom I passed and got my class A CDL today! Tom was awesome! He’s very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and he’s a great teacher. He explains things in detail and is always happy to answer any questions. If you’re considering a CDL trainer in Wisconsin or Minnesota I would definitely recommend going to Tom at the CMV Tutor! 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Tom is a great guy and will teach you everything you need to know to pass your test and he will also teach you a lot of real world trucking skills. Fantastic experience: I have had my class a for over a year but had an auto restriction on my license. CMV tutor was the only place in MN I could find that could work with me to learn to drive a manual and get that restriction removed without trying to cram it in in a week long refresher course. You'll get one on one training and will go at the pace that works for you to get you to where you're ready to test. I had Tom as my trainer and he did a great job. I would recommend CMV tutor for anyone that wants to learn to drive a manual truck and get your class a.

Fantastic experience: Tom was a great instructor. His many years of driving and teaching shows in his instruction and answers to questions. When he feels you are ready to test, he will send you to test. Not before. I went to him because of my schedule. I work full time and have three kids and a insane schedule of activities. The online course is at your own pace. And he does weekends and nights for pre-trip and behind the wheel. He really does care about you passing, doing your best and being a professional driver.

Fantastic experience: During my search for behind the wheel training Class “A” CDL, I was looking for a place that would cater to my already full schedule, and the CMV Tutor did just that. I was able to train on weekends. Tom is also an awesome instructor, that is able to tell you exactly what you need to work on to improve. It’s no surprise, that he has such a high success rate. He isn’t there to just get you to complete the training then send you on your way. He ensures that you are ready to take the exam, by giving you all the skills and confidence to pass. The dueño Tom es uno de los instreuctores, tiene mucha experiencia, lo mas importante que le gusta y le importa enseñar a sus alumnos, cuentan con trailers reales de 53 pies para practicar lo que hace que tengas una prueba de lo que se va ha hacer en la vida real. After searching for a long time I found CVM Tutor, the price was fair and the experience is what is necessary. The owner Tom is one of the instructors, he has a lot of experience, the most important thing he likes and cares about teaching his students, they have real 53-foot trailers to practice which makes you have a test of what is going to be done in real life. Fantastic experience: Tom was fantastic in helping me complete the required class to get my hazmat. He sent me everything I needed to complete right away and he was very flexible to help complete the sit down portion with him before I had to take off again over the road. He gave me all the tools I needed to study the hazmat, and it helped me pass the endorsement test on the first try.

Fantastic experience: Tom's instruction was very thurough and easy to follow. My first attempt I didn't know jack and by the end I knew it better than my own car. It's not always fun to give up your weekends and come into work to study, but if I had to, which I did, I'm glad Tom was the one teaching me.
