Negative experience: If you look further at the reviews, apparently I’m not the only one that’s had this experience… I wish we would have had a decent enough experience with the front desk person to sign up. I walked in there to sign my daughter up on Friday August 1st at 4:30pm for the Monday class and I don’t know if she was in a hurry to get the sign up done and get us out the door or what but I’ve never in my life been treated so rudely by a person in what I could consider to be sales position if she’s doing the sign up. From the moment we walked I the door she seemed short with us, when I said we wanted to sign up for Monday, she just asked questions in a sarcastic tone, like she’s annoyed with us. I ignored it and we were working on the sign up document, I kept trying to ask questions and she repeatedly would cut me off with a curt response of “I don’t know” and I wasn’t able to even get my entire question out before she did that. It happened repeatedly. I ended up taking back my daughters social security card and letting her know that I was going go elsewhere because if she’s this rude when I’m trying to sign up, I can only imagine what it will be like trying to get the drives scheduled. She sarcastically said “Awww I’m sorry” as we left but I am definitely sure as heck not paying $730.00 to have someone treat me so rudely… AND IT WAS BEFORE SHE EVEN HAD MY BUSINESS! Usually you don’t see treatment like that until after a contract is signed. They may do a lot of business in Kyle but the Lockhart driving academy is $500 instead and is much more customer service oriented. I’ll drive further for better customer service. I was willing to pay for the convenient proximity but the poor customer service is a showstopper for me. When I took my son to this driving school a couple of years ago (the Kyle one) it was in the $400 range. Looks like the price has almost doubled here and the customer service has been greatly reduced. I wonder how many other potential clients she’s run off My friend Benjamin Franklin and I will go elsewhere

Fantastic experience: We can't thank TX Driving School enough for helping our son with his driving education for his license. They were easy to work with, schedule was perfect for the summer and our son loved the instructors. The program was easy to follow and being able to take the test with them versus DPS was so helpful. They were always responsive to the many questions I had and really put my mind at ease knowing we were doing everything right to get his driving permit and license done. We used the Kyle location and highly recommend to anyone that just wants an informative and easy ally in getting it done!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Texas Driving School! It was worth every penny. My son passed his driving test on the first attempt, and the convenience of taking the test right at the school was a huge plus—especially with the long wait times at DPS. The instructors were fantastic, and I noticed a significant boost in his maturity from when he started to when he finished. I’m so grateful for the experience he had here. Texas Driving School exceeded our expectations in every way! Their communication is top-notch, with appointment reminders sent 24 hours in advance, which was so helpful. They were also flexible with schedule changes as long as we gave them timely notice. The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Tx Driving School for anyone looking for a reliable and supportive driving school!

Negative experience: Rude over the phone, no assistance in scheduling, and poor communication. Save your money and time.

Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I went here to learn how to drive! I had my learner's permit for YEARS, but had no practical driving experience. I was beginning to worry that I'd never learn to drive, and I felt so nervous about beginning to drive as an adult. This was the first driving school I reached out to, and I'm so grateful I did. I had six lessons here, and my instructor was Mr. Torres. Everyone here is so kind, and I felt at ease learning how to drive. I'm happy to say that I have my driver's license now, thanks to Texas Driving School!! I'm the last person I know to get my driver's license, but if I ever get the chance to recommend this school to someone, I absolutely will. Thank you again to Texas Driving School!!

Negative experience: The receptionist, Kim, was extremely rude, snarky, and not helpful. We used this school 4 years ago for my son’s road test and had a great experience, but the customer service this time was just really bad.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely had a wonderful experience taking my son here. I always have thousands of questions and they patiently answers them one at a time. My son felt comfortable in this environment. We opted to test at the school and I will 100% recommend this if your child has issues with new people and stressful situations. My son was nervous on test day and the familiar surroundings helped ease his nerves! Thanks to all the staff for the wonderful experience!!!

Fantastic experience: First and foremost, my teachers at this school are exceptional. Kudos to Ms. Kim and Carlos. I owe a great deal to their vast driving expertise, unwavering encouragement, and unrelenting tolerance for errors in my driving approach. I could understand every aspect of driving with a sense of peace and safety because every lesson was carefully designed to fit my preferred learning method. It was not just their calm and encouraging manner that gave me the confidence to learn, but it also made sure I never felt rushed or under pressure. On February 14 of this year, I took the test, so this review is long overdue, but I wholeheartedly recommend this driving school to anyone looking for individualized, motivating driving training. I spent a lot of money on additional classes in an attempt to strengthen my courage. Although one can make money, self-sufficiency, and confidence are quite valuable when driving. This choice was very significant to me because of my authoritarian spouse. I can say all the money I paid was well spent. Since I'm free now, I can go shopping without someone telling me that an hour isn't long enough, or I can go grocery shopping without someone telling me which brand to buy, etc. (LOL) Once again, I had a great day, and I love my freedom because of this driving school. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: The staff of the Texas Driving School of Kyle are excellent. They are very organized, professional, and extremely friendly, and they genuinely care that the kids learn and understand the instructions and material presented in the classroom, most notably behind the steering wheel. They did not just check off the boxes when teaching our four kids, but they also took the time to ensure that our kids understood the information before moving on to new material. From Mr. Torres to Mrs. Kim Vasquez, to the owner to the ladies at the front, the teachers in the classroom, and their driving instructors, they are excellent! Fantastic experience: If you want your young new driver to learn and grasp safe driving skills and to skip the Texas Department of Public Safety months of backup and long lines, then TDS is for you. My kids loved TDS and you can take your written and on the road test at DPS. This school is much better than the Aceable app. It’s not even a question if I’d send my kids to this school again.

Fantastic experience: My daughter just finished up with the adult lessons and I have nothing but great things to say! She had a wonderful experience. Every instructor was professional and made her feel confident and comfortable. I was able to ride along as well which was a plus. I was able to hear their corrections so when I would practice with her I could make sure she was making those changes. We highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place. My wife passed her test today. The school is very accommodating and flexible. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable, and competent. They have classes during the weekend which was very helpful to us as we were working through the week day.

Fantastic experience: I got my drivers license today ! Thanks to Both my instructors who were incredibly helpful and to my examinater, they made sure I got everything cover and made everything so easy for the driving test! They have alot of patience and treat you great, Totally recommend this driving school!!

Fantastic experience: Question if i have my permit i can go with you guys for the driving test correct? Also to do so are walk ins fine ? Or de we set a appointment I’ve been calling all day but it says the number you guys have is not available at the time.

Negative experience: Not patient with new drivers! Was charged for not even leaving parking spot..100 dollars for a driving test? Cheaper to go thru DMV.

Fantastic experience: These guys are great. Both of my instructors were awesome, very good at teaching and I passed my test on my first try. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I took my test a bit ago and forgot to leave a review so I don't know if they have the same tester but she wasn't very respectful. We had gone to a four way stop and she forget to tell me we were going left and used her brake in the middle of the road and it was very unprofessional. I'm going back to try again and I'm hoping they have a different tester this time

Negative experience: The driving examiner I had was very rude and snarky. She had an attitude, gossiped about a prior examinee to another examinee and was very unprofessional with an unnecessary attitude.

Fantastic experience: Redacted review, changed stars from 1 to 5. Sorry bout that, ended up finding the correct school and rectified the issue. One of your students with instructor almost ended their own lives today on I20 EB. I don't know how to teach, but to just enter the highway with no signal in front of an 80000lbs tractor trailer.... luckily I had a way out. You don't have the right of way when merging onto a highway.

Fantastic experience: Texas Driving School is hands-down the BEST driving school in town! This is a family business and you can tell. They are very warm and kind, completely different from the DMV. For anyone wondering if they should send their teen here (or themselves), go for it! The fee is so that they can provide a good, safe car for testing and it is totally worth it. I actually failed my 1st driving test with them, but fortunately my examiner (Mr. Leal I believe) was very calm and friendly-- he didn't make me feel embarrassed at all. The second time, my retest, I nailed it! I actually jumped in the air I was so excited. Thanks again to the folks at Texas Driving School who rooted for me. You guys are amazing!!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service from the receptionist. As a business owner, I would never hire someone like this that answers to my customers. Hopefully, she isn’t the owner.

Fantastic experience: Really appreciated the driving test process -- it was easy to get an appointment quickly (UNLIKE DPS -- thank you state legislature for underfunding them!) and the test administrator was kind and not intimidating. They let my daughter have a test run in their car (with the administrator) so she could get used to driving a car whe was unfamiliar with.
