Fantastic experience: Great guy. I just started his class and teaches in a certain way to help everyone be successful

Negative experience: Rude, disrespectful. He turned on the music super loud while teaching students on the road. Most of 50% of the students fail his course due to his teaching style. Don’t waste your time trying to get your kid to attend Chico’s. Big waste of money.

Negative experience: Ahh Chico, what else can I say? The driving school gives me a sense of solidarity, almost like there is a slight resemblance of poetry. The recurring notion of poetry, coupled with Chico’s immense wanderlust to explore the ancient world of loreland, makes me feel as if skibidy is in the air. Mini rizzing up the littlest of gronks shows the duality between my uncle and greta. Thank you for your time and remember it’s a …….. day today! مرحبًا بالجميع، إذا كنت تستطيع قراءة هذا، أتمنى أن تفهم لعبة الالتواء هذه!

Negative experience: My daughter took his course during the winter. This man not only is verbally inappropriate with his students but also blatantly lies to acquire his clientele as well as over charging for services rendered ( specifically asking for payment in cash as to not be traced). When asked for itemized billing with specific dates and reasons thereof he cannot correctly or in a timely manner produce one. On his website he states both (If a student misses a driving time without a 24 hour notification, then the student will be required to pay a missed driving lesson fee of $75.00 You won't be charged if you call your instructor.) and (If school is canceled, then driver education class and driving lessons are cancelled for the day unless you hear from the instructor.) Both are false advertisements. This man also promised in person to pick up students from school or home within reason for driving lessons. We live 0.6 mi from his institution. Also a false pretense! My daughter on multiple occasions had to uber to meet him at the Goffstown Highschool 3.6 miles away so she could get her on road driving time (also to note some of these were during cancelled school days) . In regards to the bold and underlined above again on multiple occasions this was a lie. He will definitely charge you ( and in cash only!)! However he will not abide by his own stated rules. He "has office hours and does not check his phone or get back to you in a timely manner". He also sets driving times after the 24 hour window of cancellation via text to the student directly. leaving no time to cancel within the window given. We called Chico to cancel 2 appointments with no answer. We texted with no response. one of which was a family emergency, one of which was a school cancellation. You can get ahold of him by email typically a day late and a dollar added to his pocket. This man causes students to have panic attacks, he teaches specifically to only what he knows will pass at manchester/concord dmv (He never taught 3 point turn amongst other various basics and barely did parallels, I had to administer these separately with my daughter), he talks about how he is untouchable due to the lack of local business competition despite many attempts of former students... With his students, he speaks ill of current and former students/ parents as a teaching tool, he barrades the student while they are driving privately and after in class. He doesn't adhere to his own rubric of education/ business. He is both abrasive and highly diminutive in mannerisms with his students/customers. To note my daughter passed his class and has her license. He will teach them to a minimally passable standard. However his business practices and mannerisms need to be investigated or at the very least updated on his businesses website to ring true. Also to note I met with this man prior to sending my daughter to his institution because of the complaints. He comes off very nice in person upfront, a little rough around the edges but courteous... even likeable. I felt we understood each other upfront and he denied past instances of warning as miscommunications and unwarranted concern as he is still in business and well liked in the community. Once he has your money and his student is enrolled... he is a different Chico. He will over promise, under deliver and be diminutive to your child. Do yourself and your child a favor and look elsewhere if feasible.

Negative experience: I had attended Chico’s class last year in the Spring. We had worked out a schedule that would be appropriate for myself and my sister to be able to drive during school hours. Chico is misogynistic, racist, homophobic, and extremely aggressive. He would creepily hit on the girls in his class, in front of everyone; would over share about his personal life and marital issues from the past, including taking a student or multiple, past his ex-wife’s house and explaining to them why. While driving, he would constantly be making passive aggressive remarks, and once grabbed the wheel from me as I was making a turn in downtown Manchester, with traffic in the next lane. He continuously yells at his students, and publicly humiliates them in front of the rest of his class, including days where he comments about the best and the worst drivers for the day. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL. I CANNOT stress that enough, your children will be MISERABLE, and you can trust me that most days, will come home crying. The only reason my sister and I were enrolled, is because of the price. I did my research and experienced worse than what these reviews entail.

Negative experience: I took my child here. Chico is unbearable. I can’t even believe this guy is allowed to teach kids. He tells my son to take off his dress and go faster. My child had major anxiety when driving with Chico. Avoid this man at all costs.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL TERRIBLE driver education experience. Chico's approach to instruction is condescending and non-supportive. He made my child feel inadequate while learning to drive and impacted the overall confidence. Not what you desire for a new driver, I consider this a significant safety concern. He often made rude comments during class time & was not reliable to show during scheduled driving times. We ultimately decided to finish the course with another school. Chico would not supply the hours completed upon request. He charged an additional $75 to complete a practice test & instructed the class to pay via Venmo when everyone failed. He would not share the results of the test. This business practice is super shady. I've contacted the Department of Safety and they have been very supportive in helping me achieve resolution and file a formal complaint against this school. I would encourage you to contact the Department of Safety if you have similar concerns.

Negative experience: Last minute told us our child would have to drive and observed during school hours, and would not accommodate school schedule. Then he kept our deposit. Very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Both of my kids went to Chico's and we had two great experiences. He takes the time to help the kids understand the important material they need to know to get their license. He was encouraging and supportive. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: He lost my daughter's application we handed in in December. Now she won't have her license on her 16th birthday and we have to wait until next February to get into a class. He also lost my signature and credit card number that was on that application. And I had to go to a different driving school because he refused to do anything for us. Thanks a lot Chico.

Fantastic experience: Even though I entered the class with a lot of driving experience, I learned many new things from Chico. Not only did I learn a lot from him, he manages to make the class interesting and fun.

Fantastic experience: Chico’s was absolutely great for our 16yo son. He made every accommodation that he could for our son. He even came in early so that Logan could get the required time in. They drove during Logans study halls at school. He speaks the truth and he will tell your kids how it is so if they are soft skinned and can’t take a bit of good natured ribbing they may want to look elsewhere. I highly recommend Chico’s. Great guy and super nice. Thanks Chico!

Negative experience: Not a man of honor, stay away from this school.

Negative experience: I went there many years ago as a student. To this day, Chico ranks as possibly the worse teacher I’ve had in any area of my life in my opinion, because in my experience, he was not a positive role model and frequently said mean, cutting and negative comments. I recommend going somewhere else!

Fantastic experience: I completed the course just recently, I have had siblings that have attended and had great experiences. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The teaching style Paco and Chico have is great approach to teenagers. Paco and Chico made sure that if we had any problem or conflicts he would do his best to help. This course doesn’t only teach you to drive in a short amount of time but it prepares you for the dmv test and for any possible thing that could happen on the road. I not only learned how to drive but I also got a bunch of new friends from it. Chico’s driving center was great!

Negative experience: DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL! We used this driving school for my daughter. She completed the course but she did say that the driving instructor was a little strange much like another reviewer posted. Last December when it was time to send my son to drivers education my wife called Chico directly and he said to just drop off a check at the school and he would fit him in the February class. We did just that and thought everything was all set until we brought our son to the first class in February. ( three months after dropping our deposit off) We were informed on the first night of class that he was not enrolled in the class that was now full due to missing paperwork? Needless to say I was upset that no one had contacted us in the three months since we dropped off our deposit about this paperwork issue and my son was heartbroken. We were told that the next opening for a class was in May. We filled out the required paperwork and reserved a spot in the class. Unfortunately our son could not attend this class because of conflicts with high school lacrosse. When we called the school to try to move him into the June class we were told that it was full and the next available class was September. We decided to just get our deposit back and look around for another school. We were told by Chico's good luck and every other driving school would be filled up until after the summer. ( We immediately found another school) We were told we needed to write a letter asking for our deposit back (more paperwork) and then waited a month to receive a check. Chico's kept $100 of our deposit! The refund policy in Chico's "paperwork" says the fee will be charged unless you register into a later course... which we did! I called Chico directly and he has outright refused to refund our entire deposit. I hope that this review will deter parents from sending their children to such a unprofessional driving school!

Positive experience: This place got in contact with me today and scheduled a defensive driving class for tomorrow. Very polite and helped a lot.

Negative experience: Sheer hell. The class was run by a loser who's clearly only using this as an opportunity to hang out with cool high school kids. With a mixture of bullying the unpopular kids and creepily hitting on the female students, it was honestly an awful waste of time.

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with Chico's Driving Center. As a parent and consumer I felt obligated to share it. If you decide to go with this driving school I urge you to put everything on print before you pay. Because once you pay they would not be accommodating you in any way. This is my story. I singed up my son for the 5 week driving class program. The class time was 6-8pm Monday-Wednesday for 5 weeks. I was expecting that we would be contacted at a later time to schedule the driving times. Tuesday, was the first day of the program and it happened to be my son's first day of school year as well. The owner contacted my son by text Monday the day before school starts and asked him what time school ends. My son told him that he does not have the schedule but the first day it should be 3pm. He was told he would be picked up from school at 3pm. As promised my son was picked up at 3pm, for one hour driving lesson. Then he was left at their driving school's classroom to do his "homework", till 6pm.( That is not an appropriate environment for homework). Finally he attended his 6-8pm class as scheduled. It seems that "family time" is important when it comes to Chico.( He made that very clear on one of his email. But I guess that is not the case when it comes to his students time). The very next day I contacted Chico wanting to go over my son's driving lessons schedule. We still had not had any discussion on the subject nor did we agree to any days or times. Keeping the first week's driving schedule, would cause a conflict with my son's school activities. We would need to make an adjustment on one day a week for 3 out of the 5 week program. I contacted Chico by phone trying to resolve the scheduling issue. This is the schedule Chico assigned for us, without any discussion or our consensus. On the phone he showed no interest in resolving anything and unwillingness in accommodating us, on the 3 driving hours. I offer a few suggestions but he rejected them all without any offering his own alternative. It was clear, he did not attempt to find a solution because he did not feel he had to. His whole attitude was I have your cash and this is your problem to solve. Personally I prefer to lose the money than sacrifice my son's education for his driving lessons. This is my unfortunate encounter with Chico's driving center. KP
