Banderas Truck Driving School and Truck Rental for DMV

Negative experience: She’s a rip of with out a doubt she does fraud on the hours she only give you 2 hours to drive and then after it’s 200 a hour she’s always late and has the trainees waiting today I had my test at the dmv and she came 1 hour late I failed because I didn’t get enough practice to drive you pay her the money and then she says if you fail you have to pay me again to take you don’t waste you money

Negative experience: Please be careful sometimes we want to save money and go to a school because it’s cheaper but you always end up paying more . She takes your money then tells you after if you fail you have to pay me again to take you if you want more driving time after 2 hours of on the street training you have to pay 200 . She wants everything fast and with only 2 hours of training … PLEASE PLEASE I DONT NOT RECOMMEND DONT LOSE YOUR MONEY

Negative experience: This is my honest opinion about this trucking school so hopefully people read this review and actually take it in consideration. My experience at this school wasn’t so great. Laura is very good at selling her business but it’s not a good school at all. It’s all false advertisement. If you like being professional and you’re a very punctual person, then you’ll definitely hate this school. You will not learn how to be a good truck driver at this school. You will pay more money than what she charges you, whatever you pay upfront is not the full price because she will change you more money. All she cares about is money , she could care less if you pass at the dmv. You only get 3 hrs of drive time with her and after that she charges each hour which is about $200 right now. Ask anyone who knows about trucking, and you won’t learn how to drive a truck in 3 hrs. That’s a joke. However, those who drive manual cars do get it quicker and learn fast because they’re used to it. But if you don’t, good luck. Also if you don’t pass on your first try at the dmv , she will charge you to take you to the dmv after that every time. You will definitely not get your moneys worth. She has no patience to teach and she cares more about her truck than her students. If you grind gears she will not let you drive her truck and kick you out of the school after your first dmv appointment. During my time at this school, she denied 4 students from coming back. That’s pretty messed up and you look stupid when you go other schools asking for an opportunity to rent the truck. Everyone learns at their own pace. You get yelled at and she will threaten you all the time when you make mistakes. She has her favorites also so not everyone get treated equally. Also she sometimes doesn’t notify you when she cancels class so you’ll be there like an idiot waiting for no reason. She also shows up super late and changes the class schedule to her own liking. Yes this school might be cheaper than others but you’ll pay more here than other schools, I promise you that. I now have my Class A and it cost me about $5,500 overall. I was actually taught better at another school and they gave me a lot of driving time without being charged. You’re not guaranteed a Class A and the purpose of a school is for them to help you get the license. I would not recommend this school to any of my friends or family.

Fantastic experience: Very great trucking school. Bilingual school with both english and Spanish. Señora Laura is a very great teacher who will teach at her best effort when you prove that you really want a cdl.

Fantastic experience: Walked into this school not knowing how to even start the truck little alone shifting gears, can honestly I’ve learned a lot . Highly recommend this school.

Negative experience: Had the worst customer service . Asked if they can send me information she was trying to force me to go into the office when I asked her again if she can send me information about the course she told me to go somewhere else. If you are trying to run a business you shouldn't treat customers all rude.

Fantastic experience: Got my class A with Banderas driving school. Laura is a great instructor and loves her job i highly recommended this school especially because she is flexible and in my experience she is willing to go the extra mile for her students and show up on days she doesnt have to just to accommodate her student when she is able to do so. I cant thank you enough Laura.

Negative experience: The 5 stars caught my attention it’s a school where you get what you pay for, super unprofessional Laura only gives you 2 time on the road and if you want to go more than 2 times she charges you , for every little thing she will find a way to charge, top of everything she only lets you use the truck 1 time for the dmv after that she charges money to use it , it’s just a false advertisement she treats all her students bad and screams and etc that’s just my experience with this school so if you have money to pay for extra your better off going to a better school and she doesn’t show up to school with no notice.

Fantastic experience: I just obtained my Class A driver license and I couldn't have done it without the help of Laura and her daughter. Laura has made it as simple as possible to pass your class A driver test and she is very affordable. I highly recommend anyone who wants to get their class A to attend this school.

Fantastic experience: I passed within 2 weeks of being at this school and witnessed many others who took only 1-2 weeks to pass! This is worth your time and money! I highly recommend!

Negative experience: 2 stars because Laura was willing to give me some of my money back, otherwise it would have been 1 star. Long story short, at the end of my experience I had to accept losing out on some money which was nine hundred dollars and wasted just a little over 2 weeks of my time. I'm putting this out there because maybe this will give someone a heads up for what they might be getting themselves into. Communication was not there to coridnat DMV appointment and 2 weeks of class time. Professionalism went out the window every time they got upset and kicked you out the truck. I was lured in by the low price and the 5 star reviews… sadly it didn’t work out and I’m just glad to not have to go back. This was my personal experience.

Fantastic experience: A big thanks to Banderas school and the dedicated caring team of instructors ( laura , gustavo..). I just got my CDL A and i highly recommend this trucking school. You will get what u need ,and no exessive study materials and no long classes and daily opportunity to practice maneuvers ! And passing the dmv is guaranteed!! Last but not least ,you will get the full course in a month or so and at a very affordable price!!

Fantastic experience: I didn’t know anything about trucking. Laura is a genius and knows how to break down everything you need to know to pass the DMV test! She explains and illustrates where even a 10 year old will get it!! If you like raw and uncut knowledge and want to get your cdl you’d be crazy to not choose this school. And the price is very affordable!! She should charge more!!

Fantastic experience: I Came to the school not knowing english i learned how to perform my inspections in english with all the help of the instructor Laura. Shes one of the best teachers in the industury i came from a different school paying thousands and being set Up to fail. I came to the school and the instructor helped me hands on one on one. Within a month i das able to pass my cdl behind the Wheel exam all thanks to laura.
