I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible help I received from Tommie Salinas during my daughter’s driving school certification process. It is a nightmare doing this process sometimes! Navigating the paperwork and requirements was overwhelming, but Tommie went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed accurately and on time. Her knowledge, patience, and dedication made what could have been a stressful experience seamless and efficient. She not only guided me step by step through the entire process but also took the time to address my concerns and answer all my questions with professionalism and kindness. Fantastic experience: O’Shea Jackson here and I have to say, I’d 100% recommend this driving school for anybody who has any anxiety or doubt behind the wheel. They’re very welcoming and open. Right away, I felt welcomed and comfortably eased in with the people here, namely Ms Crystal and Ms Tori! Very respectful and relatable!! Ms Crystal, my driving instructor, was very patient with me, exceptionally supportive, very respectful and just had the best vibes I could ever look for in a driving instructor. All of the bad reviews shes received are misleading. Again, I 100% recommend this place for anybody new to driving but also very dedicated. These people are very welcoming with the best vibes. I look forward to coming back someday. Thank you very much!

Fantastic experience: When you walk in rhodes driving school on cuelbra you feel welcomed right on the spot. I would want to give my thanks to the receptionist Victoria. She is a very delightful person to talk to and was very helpful with any questions I asked. I would also give my thanks to Crystal,one of the driving instructors for this location. She was also very helpful on giving tips to driving and answering any questions I had. Both ladies are very delightful people and I would recommend anyone to go to this location if needed to take driving lessons

Negative experience: They have too many students and classes to adequately provide the driving portion. It is impossible to schedule a driving class. It will take quite some time for my daughter to take the driving portion. As soon as the schedule is posted all the appointments get taken up.

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Crystal is a great instructor, the bad reviews are really misleading I’ve only had great experiences with her.

Negative experience: My daughter had a lesson today with Crystal. Chrystal was very condescending and just plainly rude from the start of the lesson. Her lesson was just in the parking lot learning to park. If I could give her a zero star I would. My wife called to complain and the receptionist keep saying Crystal is a great instructor. But if you scroll down she has bad reviews.

Fantastic experience: The people here are great to interact with and respectful.coming in I wasn’t too experienced but for sure had experience I’m 18.The process was very smooth and helpful especially with Ms.crystal at my side very lucky to have had her as my instructor, she’s very insightful and transparent with her directions and tips she also gives.we had one last practice day for the test tomorrow and I was VERY confident in passing my exam and did. Thank you ms.crystal for the smooth experience

Fantastic experience: literally the easiest driving process and i learned so much! Ms. Crystal is absolutely THE BEST! Throughout my classes she was very kind and up lifting as well as still being my instructor and correcting me and helping me see what I needed to improve on. It was over all a great experience and i definitely would refer this driving school to other people as well as Ms. Crystal!

Fantastic experience: 5 plus ⭐️‘S. Today was my last class at Rhodes. There’s not enough positive words to say that will explain my gratitude to my instructor Crystal for helping me understand everything I needed to know about driving. She gave me accurate knowledge on how to drive, tips on how to understand driving better to perfection, and showed me first hand on what she’d do so I can mimic the same techniques. I’m now convinced that I’ll pass my driving test. My first day I was really scared. I had never been behind the wheel. At 36 I knew I had to get over my fear and Crystal helped me 100%. I can fully drive and parallel park with ease. I was asked today how I did with parallel parking at work and I told them I Aced it. The tips Crystal gave me are astonishing and accurate. I’m now at ease and feel like I’m free to drive the roads. From fear to free. Thank you Crystal and Rhodes driving school for your patience and your 5⭐️ expertise. You have helped me so much. I was referred to y’all from a friend and now I’d refer y’all as well. Much much gratitude.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. Firstly Id start off saying that My appointment was scheduled from 12-2pm. I arrive on time and My Instructor Crystal had came late by 30 minutes at 12:30. She had an awful attitude coming into the store complaining about her job to the receptionist and I specifically remember her stating “I dont get paid enough for this job” first impression was already bad, however I went on the drive expecting that at least the drive was going to be tolerable. Upon getting in the vehicle. I adjusted my seat to try and make myself the most comfortable. She forced me to change it, making me uncomfortably drive in the car. She gave horrible directions. At one point told me to make a left turn, I simply asked if she was sure because I knew it would have me on the wrong side. She yelled at me saying. “Why would u ask me that u would be on the wrong side of the road pay attention to the signs” even though she told me to make that left turn. And was unnecessarily rude saying things like “you better not hit the curb” . She was on her phone for half of my parallel parking instruction. She showed me one time how to do it, and then after made me repeat it 4-5 more times without showing me guidance. She was very condescending making the whole drive unbearable with much unnecessary anxiety as a new driver. All I ask for is a refund out of this horrible experience, otherwise i would be force to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. No one should have to endure so much mistreatment when i was supposed to get guidance and mentorship. Not a customer friendly business.

Negative experience: Unless you and your child have more than 1 year to complete your lessons, look elsewhere. If you are able to get ahold of the staff, they are often times either dismissive or make promises they do not keep. Being limited to driving lessons once per month made is difficult enough and when you add cars being unavailable (happened to us twice) or unable to schedule a drive because they will not answer the phone or return calls to allow you to pay for a missed appointment fee (missed appointment was 100% our fault), your child will most likely go months between observed driving lessons. We paid for the teen driving program and ended up having our kid get her license by having them complete another online course and passing the driving test with the DMV. Again, do not recommend unless you have more than 1 year you are willing to dedicate (if so, go parent taught if you can) or do not mind or expect to have your phone calls answered or messages returned.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE this driving school. Save yourself from this money grab. my youngest of 3 chose this school because of proximity. Biggest mistake; I regret signing up here; don't make the same mistake. They really just take your money, then nickel and dime you for everything. Cheaper & more efficient options online without the hoops, like aceable ; safedriver or taught dot com.

Negative experience: Don't waste your money or time; its a money scam. Zero Stars. They pump out classes to teach teens, then have the worst drive scheduling system that holds teens hostage for months/years. They charge extra for everything; even trying to drive at another locations with openings to expedite the process. My teen turned 18 before she could finish the driving portion.

Negative experience: Absolutely ridiculous! They are not organized! They can’t schedule anything after 3 days they give you a date and time and when you get there they don’t have you on the schedule! I had to pull my son out of school for 6 days just to drive an hour a day because they only drove 12-1 / 1-2 / 2-3 and those are always booked. They aren’t helpful or understanding about scheduling around the dps office. I would never recommend this company to anyone over $550 per child and it’s worthless. I have left numerous voicemails asking for someone to call me back to confirm appointments windows and no call back I have gone in the building asking for answers and there so busy being late and chatting, she has to schedule to another location. I had to reschedule my sons DPS APPOINTMENT twice because of these miscommunication on appointments to his 6 hour driving and drive test! The driving instructor cussed out so many people while my son was drive he got scare! Unprofessional! Unsafe !!! Never again

Negative experience: M daughter just went through this driving school and it was absolutely awful,the drive time was awful,communication was awful,they never called me back and the scheduling was bad, plus the lady who answered the phone was incredibly rude when I got her to answer, it was a nightmare they never seemed to have the schedule or hours she needed, she literally got 2 drives a month,I would never recommend anyone to this place or pay them what I actually wound up doing myself which was teaching my daughter how to drive and be comfortable behind the wheel 2 hrs a month from a driving school wasn’t going to do that… I’m glad it’s over and we can get on with our lives.. I don’t know how that place stays in business..

Negative experience: regret to enrolling with this school , I have been paid in full , at first they really nice to take your money. They have instructor who goes on phone and fall in a sleep during drive. I wish I could get a money back Don’t use this driving school. I choose this school because of close to school. Biggest mistake ever my older kid had better driving school. I regret to sign up here.

Negative experience: Absolute worst experience when it comes to scheduling drives. Two of my other children went here without any problems and were able to get their license after 6 months of having their permit. They were also able to get 1 hour of drive time when they were scheduled with an instructor. This time around, they are still claiming COVID as a reason they can't seem to get enough drives posted (even though restrictions were rescinded 4 months ago). Curious how COVID restrictions end up adding a third student into a vehicle but still only do a 2 hour drive time. Meaning the student now only gets .40 hour of actual driving experience each time versus the 1 hour when only 2 drivers were present; as was previously the case. They direct you to a website that may or may not actually have any open drives to schedule and you are unable to schedule ANY drives within a 30 day timeframe of each other. If you, like me, look at the reviews and say 'well, the convenience of being near the high school will outweigh them, DON'T DO IT! It's not worth the frustration is it taking to get her lessons completed. What has previously been a 6 months process will now be closer to the year mark.

Negative experience: This was the absolutely worst driving school experience. 1) Lesson was once a month 2) 3 kids in the car during 2 hour lesson so basically 30 minutes each once a month. No way my child could learn significant lessons that way. 3) 98% of the instructions is left to the parent after full payment is taken up front. 4) The scheduling system is absolute trash, the classes are always full so you have to call, play phone tag and wait til someone finally answers. When they do answer they check to see how many times you attempted to schedule using the portal. More than once was plenty but not according to them. It was like the hunger games trying to schedule online. 5) You need to call or show up in person to get scheduled see my 2nd point above for this arrangement. If I could give the Culebra location 0 stars I would. My older child used a different driving school and the experience was completely different. I wish I had never signed up with them, paid all that money only to teach my child to drive myself. DO NOT GO HERE!! Worst experience ever! Culebra location 0 stars.

Fantastic experience: Rhodes Driving School was the perfect solution to help educate our son to drive. He received an intense two weeks of daily lessons on the state safety rules for motorized vehicles. Afterwards, our son would sign up to attend actual driving classes at the Culebra location. Sometimes, he would drive with 2 other students and an instructor guiding them on what are correct rules to follow when behind the wheel. Due to COVID restrictions, driving times seemed difficult to grasp! However, Ms. Tommie who works at the Culebra location was ALWAYS been a godsend. She guided my son and I throughout the entire process. Ms. Tommie always checks the calendar login times to make sure that my son would login to try to get a driving appointment time. If we were unsuccessful in finding one, I would call Ms. Tommie @ the Culebra Rd. location. She would help us find a driving time. Since COVID, many students are trying hard to get their driving times. BE PATIENT!!! The staff members are working really hard to accommodate everyone. As a teacher, I know that PRACTICE makes perfect. I am happy to have enrolled my son to study at Rhodes Driving School. It has made my son aware of how many bad drivers there are out on our roads and the importance of DRIVING safely. Remember, vehicles can be weapons if not operated properly. Our children deserve the opportunity to master a lifetime skill that is necessary. Call Rhodes Driving School @ Culebra Rd and ask for Ms. Tommie. Fantastic experience: As a teen driver who is taking the driving class there, I find it to be super fun and easy as long as you pay attention. Ms. Patti, the teacher is a really funny, kind, and understanding. Ms. Megan in the front office is also very kind and watches out for us kids. There is also an ADORABLE little dog named Honey and I suggest you all meet her. Highly recommend for your teens!!!

Negative experience: The manager is so nasty! I am military and they had informed me to go to one location to get my paper work and when I went, the girl got nasty and was like no my employee didn't tell you that. She was so rude and my family has had issues with her even over the phone.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE . The staffs are extremely mean, disrespectful , rude and unprofessional, unpleasant and not helpful at all.

Negative experience: Please stay away from this place, they will take your money and not deliver what they said they would. You are never able to sign your child up for them to drive. I paid $400 for them to never have spots open! Then another $15 to track the lessons. Staff is rude, they tell you to check their online system multiple times a day, which I do, which just ends up making me more mad! Because they never have spots for you to sign your child up to drive!!!!! This place is a rip off, please looks some place else for your child! This place had some horrible reviews, but it was close so I figure maybe some unhappy parents. All of what’s noted is all true!4 kids in one car driving to get your hours???!! Crazy!!! I am complains to the BBB, until you organize and hire more staff this is just crazy. And everything thing they charge your fee to make it right. To move to another place that may have more availability, $50 charge! To change to parent taught, another $50 dollars, but they don’t want o give me my money back! Again run!!! This is not a one off, or one parent being upset! Please look at all the reviews, I put this on Texas!!! They are all true!!!!!

Negative experience: They are great about getting you scheduled for classes and assisting the students. Not so great on returning phone calls/customer service.

Negative experience: After repeatedly calling and messaging this driving school will return calls and messages weeks after. They also fail to inform you of late fees and cancelation fees. Along with this, they are allowed to cancel on you whenever they want. They have really nice people, but I personally had a hard time.
