Brown’s Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Browns overall was great, out of 3 kids we only had one issue with one instructor and it was handled so quickly and professionally! I am so glad this is the driving school we chose to go to and highly recommend them!
Negative experience: Worst instructors ever. Go anywhere else except this disgusting place
Negative experience: i’m not gonna name names, but some of these instructors need some more decorum when in the car with younger people. This morning, my cousin proceeded to take a test with one of these instructors and failed (it happens) Expectedly the driving instructor offered classes and such. My cousin proceeded to say money is tight at the moment. Now this is where things went south as the driver proceeded to make a comment about her hair saying “but you have extensions” When that couldn’t be further from the truth. She has been growing out her locks for years and they are quite long, but no matter what hair she has that doesn’t give you the right to assume where she stands financially, as a teenager. I think it’s simple “all right” would have surpassed, but some people do not have the capability of suppressing their very dense thoughts, and empty headed comments.
Fantastic experience: Brown's has some great people. The teacher, receptionist, and instructors are very kind and understand that you may be nervous; they know what they're doing. I had Instructor Cedric Ford for 2 of my drives and he put me at ease when I was very nervous. He was informational, helpful, kind and funny. I had a great time and learned a lot. I'd recommend Brown's to anyone.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic course - great staff and coaching. Would highly recommend for those looking to get their motorcycle license.
Fantastic experience: Took the BRC with very limited knowledge, Ethan and Ryan were absolutely amazing! Made me feel comfortable, gave alot of life saving information.gave lots of positive recognition for the good things, but more importantly told me what I did wrong, and showed me how to correct it.. I would recommend this class and the instructors to anyone who wants to learn... Great job guys! Ya'll help save lives!!! Keep up the good work!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been riding for 8 years and the knowledge and wisdom I got from this course is Life changing, I want to give a special Thanks to my instructor Ryan for being the best coach a person could have for learning life saving techniques and lessons. I can honestly say that you saved my life man. BigLove and Thanks Ryan and Browns Motorcycle Training School.
Fantastic experience: I attended the motorcycle school Ryan was my teacher and just absolutely amazing taught the whole class well and taught all the things that was going to be useful for rest of my riding life
Fantastic experience: A great school! With great instructors who are there to answer questions and help you pass! Highly recommend. Thanks Browns Driving School!
Fantastic experience: Took the MSF course here, never been on a bike before only four wheelers. Our instructor Ryan did an amazing job at explaining everything and taking time to teach us individually. Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.
Fantastic experience: Brown's driving school was amazing. The couch that trained me did an amazing job. Thanks Ryan :)
Fantastic experience: Ethan was an incredible instructor
Negative experience: Davis guy is a scam artist. Started off by telling me he gets a lot of cryers. I can see why when he totally makes up things about my driving. He's telling me driving 25 in a 25mph zone (neighborhood) is too fast? No wonder you get these (cryers) because he's cheating people so that this company will get another $50 for retesting. This is business is out to get your money. Even if it takes lying. UPDATE: The company called me after viewing my review here to harass me about it and tell me I'm not welcome back. I already informed the instructor I will never come back to this place. Horrible business.
Fantastic experience: Great training for motorcycle. The Midwest team was great and kind and very supportive. Best place to learn.
Fantastic experience: Great instructors. Lessons are entertaining and the vibes are great. Got me ready to hop on a bike.
Fantastic experience: Ryan and Mike made my rider course exiting and informative. Huge shout out to these guys they are amazing at teaching!
Fantastic experience: This review is specifically towards the BRC. I recently completed my BRC with Brown’s the weekend of 7/27 & 7/28. The course itself is structured by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. There is a lot of information provided to you prior to the actual course as well as during the course. The set of instructors I had the pleasure of working with were AMAZING! Both of them showed a clear passion for riding as well as the safety and success of each student. I was lucky to be a part of a great group of people age 14 all the way to 60 with varying levels of experience. The instructors made it clear that each and every one of us are capable of completing this class as long as we show the desire to learn, we pay attention, and we are committed to safety. Personally, I was very nervous to start, but when I finished, I felt confident in the new skills I learned and was excited to continue to practice this new love of mine. The instructors were extremely helpful and so much fun to be around. Full of energy and passion, but firm about safety and following direction. I cannot thank these two incredible men enough for making me feel more comfortable and giving me the confidence I needed to pursue such a fun and rewarding hobby. Most importantly, they instilled a sense of safety and awareness that I will continue to build. If you are looking for a class to take to help build your confidence and teach you how to be safe, Brown’s is the place to do it. But YOU have to be the one to make the commitment to listen, ask questions when you are unsure, and commit to safety to succeed in this course.
Fantastic experience: Been riding for a couple years and booked a weekend for the BRC class. I’m not going to lie I walked in curious if 1 I was going to learn anything 2 what bad habits I learned in the process of riding. After this past weekend I learned quite a bit! 2 I now know my bad habits to work on. Great group of instructors, very knowledgeable and can pull off some crispy maneuvers.
Fantastic experience: I just completed the BRC course in Midwest City, just wanted to say that Ryan and Mike (aka Sideshow) were fantastic teachers and I’m so glad that I ended up in their class. I didn’t have any complaints about them and the entire time I felt like they were solely focused on the success of their students, even with the jokes and goofiness they brought to the experience. 10/10 would recommend the BRC course with Browns & I hope that their future classes feel the same way :)
Fantastic experience: Just finished my 2 day corse with Rocky and Bullwinkle came in really nervous but these two guys are great instructors now i am more confident in everyday riding
Fantastic experience: The motorcycle class taught by Mike & Ryan was great. They were very knowledgeable and made it easy to understand. I feel a hell of a lot better now that I’m jumping back on a bike. Thank you guys. Thanks for the water much appreciated
Negative experience: These people robbed me
Negative experience: My friend went to a driving school to obtain her license. Despite having a hearing impairment, she expected to be treated fairly. At the beginning of her lessons, she informed her male driving instructor about her condition and requested instructions to be repeated if needed. However, he did not comply with her request, even though he agreed to do so. During her driving test, she failed for allegedly going 37 in a 35 zone, which the instructor claimed was speeding. When my friend finished her session, the instructor suggested that she go to driving school, even though she could not afford it. He also became snarky with her, indicating his unprofessionalism. When she complained to the receptionist about the issue, she was told that she could not help because she was not a driving instructor. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this driving school.
Fantastic experience: My fiance and I finished Browns motorcycle, basic rider course this weekend. Couldn’t recommend browns enough, I was anxious and nervous to take the class, as I had zero experience on a motorcycle and didn’t know what I was getting myself into. This course was informative, thorough and FUN.. I definitely see myself taking more courses with browns to help further my skillset in learning to ride a motorcycle. The instructors, Ethan and Mike were incredible. Patient, kind, funny as hell, but most important supportive. I felt my confidence rising as the hours went by. The size of the class was perfect. Not too many, not too few. I am so proud of the skills I’ve learned over this course, I can now confidently and safely drive a motorcycle. I can’t wait to ride for the rest of my life. Thank you Browns!! For making this, accessible and fun.
Fantastic experience: The driving school is pretty nice. The in class instructions were okay, it's just going over the manual over a 2 day period but the actual driving is fantastic. My instructor is easy going and simplifies things that would otherwise be confusing. The actual driving is worth the money and I would definitely recommend this school for anyone who feels the need of driving practice and knowledge.
Negative experience: The dude Carl or whatever was my driver instructor and was so rude! He was looking at me like I was stupid for not knowing how to do one thing. Instead of teaching, he was being extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
Positive experience: So 5 stars for motorcycle classes and 2 stars for drivers ed. The Motorcycle class is fantastic. I cant come up with enough praise over it. Carl and Gary are the best instructors on the Planet! Now for the Bad, The driving school is just a pain. I enrolled my kid and it has just been difficult. 1. they got the names wrong and blamed me. lol. I have copies of the enrollment and all look correct on my end. It took several attempts to get the correction made. 2. The driving instruction hours are so hard to book to the point of having a months gap between them. 3. They will only pick up and deliver from one address. This make's things difficult if you have a joint custody situation. .
Negative experience: Paid for the middle priced class for my son. He was supposed to go for second and final drive today when my wife got a call from them. They told her it was 75.00 dollars more for reinstatement fee because it had been more then a year since his last class. Browns cancelled because of covid and the ice storm. Will not reccomend to anyone ever. #justwantmoney
Fantastic experience: They have taught both my daughter and son. Well worth the money for the peace of mind.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful class!!! Excellent instructors!!!
Negative experience: My test prep instructor Earl was very rude and at times got impatient and unprofessional. If you had a question he would respond in a way that would feel like he was belittling you. He also said that "one of the students were intellectually challenged" which in return made me uncomfortable..waste of 600 dollars and beware they will talk about you to other students.
Fantastic experience: Great investment.
Fantastic experience: I really liked the instructor's they helped us and answered an questions we had
Negative experience: First drive, not much instruction, but my nephew did get to know the instructors entire belief system on current events and politics. Do what you are paid to do and teach people how to drive, no one cares what your politics are dude.
Fantastic experience: Some comments below are far from the truth. Browns driving school has a great reputation. The instructors care about the students safety. The posters on the wall are not meant to instill fear, they are there to let students know what could happen if they choose to drink and drive, text and drive and not follow safety rules of the road. This is a great company!
Negative experience: You are a driving school correct? Why in the heck are y’all passing in the right lane? Not using a turn signal and as soon as you pass someone, get in the lane in front of us and slow down? Oh wait, don’t get me started on the texting and driving! I would not recommend using this school if this is how the instructor drives! Car number was 1!
Fantastic experience: So my sister tested here and she did well so well that I will be visting them tomorrow this place is so nice and wee kept❤
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and honest staff
Negative experience: Don't let me first my test!!!! Don't come here
Fantastic experience: Great place to learn to drive
