Fantastic experience: I’d give it a million stars! Our three days were life changing, and I truly mean it! This is NOT your “learn to drive course”, it’s “concur your fears, gain freedom in life, become empowered, know your strength, gain control and confidence, and never be an idiot on the road ever again” course! I bought the course for my hubby as a bday gift, and was gonna hang out and work while they do their thing. After one day of watching, I realized I HAD to do it! For the safety of my family, for my own internal confidence and for the FUN they had and the sparkle in my husbands eyes after just one day. So I joined for two days and never have I imagined being able to do what I did in just two days. I’m a different driver now for sure and this was a lifelong memory creation. And very importantly so, Scotty is one of the coolest most unique humans I’ve ever met. He’s real, yet magical, he sees through you and give you what you need. And all the stories of his fascinating life experiences made for incredible interludes between heart racing, soul changing trials on the wheels. Mind blowing!

Fantastic experience: Well, my lifelong dream has been to do stunt driving work. Thought I also had to light myself on fire, but learned differently from Scotty. I had a great time at the three day course. Scotty gives great instructions and explains what the desired outcome is of any given maneuver or task. I would highly recommend for anyone interested in driving. I don’t know yet if this is the path to a career, so I can’t comment on that – – but I will take the driving lessons and the experience with me wherever I go – – real world or film world! I could have done with a little bit more time behind the wheel, but I’m also confident that Scotty has a master plan and probably knows the limits of his students’ learning hours per day.

Fantastic experience: Being a guy with Track experience with both car and Bikes I just wanted to say this. Scotty, thank you so much man!, yeah It was a blast taking the 2 days with ya I love the way you work! and yeah i cant wait to put the skills that I learn to use!. Actually it strikes me the way you can communicate such amount of detail in a very short period of time, I think you're a great guy and each stunt driver out there should stop by to you at least once to learn from the best! This said my experience was so positive i wanna do more! heheheheh!, I Highly suggested to anyone from experienced drivers to newcomers!

Fantastic experience: Scotty is one of a kind and passionate about sharing his experiences that led him to be the best in the business. I signed up my 2 sons so that they would be more confident behind the wheel and understand the "how" when it comes to getting the car under control. Scotty was patient, demanding, and encouraging at all the right moments. My boys had a blast and I feel much better knowing they took this course.

Fantastic experience: This course is simply all of the above. PERSONALITY: Scotty is a great instructor that is passionate about driving, passionate about the film industry, and an all around nice guy that really knows his stuff. LOGISTICS: He's got a small fleet of cars that are dedicated to training, and has access to a large area to drive in and learn. DEPTH: One of my favorite things about the course is that Scotty will work with you starting from the level you are currently at. Basically, if your skills are above average, then expect to build on those skills. If you're a beginner at driving, that's ok too! Scotty will work with you where you are at and you will absolutely build upon that. Bring sunscreen and water and be ready to work...and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Fantastic experience: What an experience, what a teacher. Scotty won't steer you wrong. This is one of the coolest experiences out there. Scotty has an insanely accurate ability to read you and then apply that to your unique training style. I learned to lean into my instincts and not trust my fears. Trust that Scotty's got you and let him push you past your comfort zone and you will learn all kinds of things about yourself. Surrender to the process and beautiful things will happen. This course was worth it, 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Had a blast doing the 3 day course. Learned a lot of great driving maneuvers and then had plenty of time and coaching to apply them on the course. Scotty’s a lot of fun to work with and has some great stories too!

Fantastic experience: When my son, Payton, expressed an interest in stunt driving I had no idea how to help him, but his mother found Scotty's school and I couldn't be happier with our experience. Payton is on the Autism Spectrum and generally struggles with new endeavors, and I was concerned with him and his ability to learn the maneuvers. Scotty was an incredible instructor. He found a way to connect with my son and communicate in a manner that created a fantastic learning environment. By the third day, my son was doing all these maneuvers that you see in movies and commercials and his confidence went through the roof. I am thrilled that we found Scotty. I don't know that someone else could have helped my son the way he was able to. We look forward to working with him in the future. I highly recommend Scotty and his course not just for stunt driving but a life changing experience!

Fantastic experience: It will be hard to write a concise review of everything we experienced! Scotty is the real deal and no nonsense, all heart and soul, a true master of his craft and a wise caring teacher. I felt all of his genuine care a month before when I found his school online, emailed Scotty and got to talk with him about the class and what we were looking for. We wanted to know if our 18 year-old son had what it took to be in the business as a stunt driver. During the 3 days of instruction, Scotty worked very hard to get through to our son with his learning style and how he would best understand to execute the maneuvers. My son was then able to access his intuition and combine it with his strengths to learn the skills Scotty was teaching him and grow in his self-confidence as a young man and as a wheel man! Scotty was 100% committed to teaching our son. That was exactly what I was looking for so I could make a true assessment of whether this was the right direction for our son and if he had what was needed for this line of work. Scotty has so much experience combined with compassion for people, he brings out the best of his students. It is very rare when a master of craft is also able to teach it to others so well. Thank you Scotty! We plan for you to see more of us to keep our son leveling up!

Fantastic experience: Cars were rigged for easy learning and the wide open space makes for low risk of crashes and other drivers. One complaint I have is the instructor took a bit too much time to explain the details of the technique.

Fantastic experience: The course was excellent. From the moment we left the office we were practising tactical driving on the road. The format of the course involves less theory and more practical experience which meant receiving feedback while driving which helps retain the information. The portion of the course focused on stunts was very enjoyable. There were a number of exercises which really honed the accuracy and skills that would be needed on set. This portion was also littered with tips Scotty has learned throughout his years in the industry. Scotty’s teaching style was good; he paid attention to each driver’s aptitude and gave them free reign where appropriate, helping the drivers develop their confidence. However he was quick to step in if he perceived any stunts getting out of hand. Overall it was a really good course.

Fantastic experience: This one has been by far one of my favorite experiences in the industry thus far. It was educational, fun, rigorous, and even spiritual. Scotty is an incredible trainer, driver, and mentor. Such a blessing and joy to be around. He was so observant and sensitive to personalizing the course for me. I left not only a better driver but a better person. I look forward to training with him sometime in the future.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Scotty and his school, was extraordinary. I have had the blessing of studying under many great teachers; scholastic, sport and the martial arts. Scotty falls right up there with anyone I have felt was truly masterful. The man possesses great sensitivity and I felt him constantly, silently adjusting his approach to meet me where I was at each moment. If you're a person wishing to feel more confident about the machine you use to hurl yourself and your loved ones, up and down freeways, this course addresses that challenge. The teachings immediately rewrote my approach to dealing with potentially life threatening situations we find ourselves in daily. Or, if you're looking to drive like a professional motion picture driver, you really couldn't find a better teacher. His years of professional driving experience become discerningly evident the moment you veer from the teaching or find yourself doubting your ability to meet the endeavour. If you're of the ilk, you'll find yourself wanting to call him sensei or sifu, I sure did; he has that level of awareness and knowledge. I cannot recommend Scotty enough. Earnestly, I discovered and addressed questions of fear and trust, that I believe were only to be revealed to me through this very specific training. Fantastic experience: I have always been curious about movie / stunt driving, and how they do the spinning and the drifting and go so fast and furiously, if you will. I looked around for a basic tactical driving class, but only really found classes that appeared to be targeted toward professional stunt drivers, not moms who drive an automatic minivan, or experiences that are driving really fast in circles, which also wasn’t really what I was looking for. On a lark, I reached out to Scotty to see if he could tailor a fun / private lesson for me and my husband for a day. From the beginning, Scotty was so welcoming and enthusiastic. I told him what I wanted to experience (learning non-standard / basic movie driving skills in a safe and educational environment) and he designed a day that got me to that goal. He is very focused on his students and their individual goals / boundaries. We drove Crown Vics in an abandoned parking lot with walkie talkie radios to keep us on task. It was great to work in a setting like that - after all there are curbs and trees in the real world too - and after an initial assessment we proceeded through several exercises. It took me a while to get past 30 years of conditioning to drive “cautiously”, but by the end of the day, I was flooring it in the parking lot and using the hydraulic emergency brake, reversing without turning around, and burning rubber in a circle. Scotty’s teaching style was positive and encouraging. He is truly passionate about teaching everyone at every level how to improve their driving and understanding of cars and the road in general. It was energizing to have the knowledge “click” and be able to touch (but not knock down) a cone with the tail of my car after doing a 180. Scotty’s Driving School taught me a lot and I’d recommend it to anyone with a sense of adventure who wants to get better behind the wheel. It’s not inexpensive, but if you consider the cost of tires (not for your car - for his) and insurance, it makes sense why it’s a bit costly. I also have a much deeper appreciation of what's involved in movie driving scenes!

Fantastic experience: Scotty is very professional and just very all around good person. He wants to help every student become the best they can be. And he doesn’t forget to keep the fun in it. His school was by far one the best driving schools I have been to. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes, loves or just has a passion for being behind the wheel. You’ll be guaranteed to have an Amazing experience! I will be returning to continue to grow as a performance driver.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I recently spent the day at Scotty’s Stunt and Tactical Driving course. It was a great time. We both enjoy driving, but don’t drive professionally. Scotty helped us push our car control to the next level. He is friendly, explains concepts clearly, and uses drills to improve your control and confidence throughout the day. By the end of the day, we were running cones and pacing in a way I wouldn’t have imagined possible. He also kindly tailored the day to our interests, which included learning how to manage breaking traction (skidding). It was a ton of fun!

Fantastic experience: I've been a couple of times now and I enjoy the small class size and having a car per driver. The instruction is clear & you have ample opportunity to apply it. As a stunt performer I especially appreciate his experience on set and guidance for on the job application.

Fantastic experience: Scotty really creates a new perspective on the out look of young drivers. Really providing a safe and open environment to teach the youth of this upcoming growing hi desert how to safely maneuver vehicles. As the numbers continue to sadly grow in vehicle fatalities I feel like Scotty is the one of the only major efforts to help keep those numbers down . If I had any say in the education system I’d advise each young student to be required to pass this course as a requirement for graduation.

Fantastic experience: Not your normal driving school, you get to overcome your fears of driving. You will learn precision, and stunt experience from an excellent instructor that has more experience than I could think of. Highly recommend for any teens or adults who want to take this course.

Fantastic experience: My 16 year old daughter took the teen driver course from Scotty and it was amazing how it increased her confidence and skills! She had only had her license for a few days, but I believe it is important to instill these skills early to avoid the development of bad habits. I feel she is definitely more skilled, makes better decisions, and is a much more confident driver than what I saw during the time she had her permit. I saw the value of having my daughter work with him, I can only imagine how much fun and how educational one of his precision driving courses must be. It's amazing how calm and collected Scotty is...the "Cool" just oozes out of him in an amazingly humble manner. Highly Recommended!

Fantastic experience: Extremely enjoyable experience. Scotty's is knowledgeable, informative, skilled, and a great instructor. You get a lot of seat time in this course, more than enough to learn and refine new skills. Doesn't matter if you're taking the course purely for enjoyment or exploring it as a career path, you're going to have a great time! Honestly feel my driving technique and precision has improved more from those 2 days than the past 6 months! I feel like it got me out of a plateau in terms of driving skill I was stuck in and helped me find new areas to improve.

Fantastic experience: This is a real-world class. Despite the opportunities to learn and practice stunt-type driving, this class focuses on how to show up on set on your first job and be a professional. Newbie stunt drivers aren't necessarily going to start their careers sliding and drifting cars in front of crews and cameras. New, on-camera drivers will often start their careers as non-descript background or precision-type drivers who can hit their marks and follow directions. I learned things I would not have thought of from keeping your windows up to a whole new vocabulary. Scotty Richards, veteran hollywood stunt driver, takes the time with each student and gives them what they need to work in the business. Scotty Richards believes being successful is by helping others achieve their goals. You'll just be another year older if you wait until next year....

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved taking Scotty’s class. He managed to make me feel like I could do anything. I already felt like I was a good driver to begin with, but the level of mastery I walked away with was amazing to me. To even be able to attempt some of the skills seemed to fill me with apprehension, but when I actually got behind the wheel, I was hitting my marks left right and center no problem due to Scotty’s unique ability to give me the confidence that I could.
