Fantastic experience: Great instructor. I had some previous lessons with a different driving school but life got busy and I didn't practice for years. I signed up with OAKSE to get back into it and I passed after just 5 lessons.

Fantastic experience: This is the best driving school! The instructor was very friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, they were super accommodating to a very tight schedule I had to work around on the day of my driver's test. I had forgotten which day my driver's test was and panicked, but Oakse came to the resuce! Within an hour of my initial call I was reassured, had an appointment with Oakse; I was picked up, driven to the test and passed! I am very thankful for Oakse Driving School! The lessons were also very well priced and affordable, which is a huge plus.

People in the comments are exaggerating about the language barrier; there’s not a language barrier, he’s just occasionally hard to understand due to a thick accent. But not a big deal. I definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: He is a great driving instructor. He gives direct in the moment feedback. At first it is a little jarring to hear the direct feedback but once you realize he is doing it to teach you the correct way and the pass the exam, you start to accept the feedback. I really appreciated the patience and the care he gave during the instruction. I pass my exam with only 3 errors! I recommend him to everyone that needs to learn how to drive.

Positive experience: My instructor was good. He pointed out the mistakes I made, and gave positive feedback anytime I did something right. I certainly learned a few new things, and he also reassured me that I know enough to pass the test. I gave a 3-star instead of 4 or 5 mainly because of two things, (a) there was a language barrier. He had a Chinese-English accent that was hard for me to understand, so I had to ask twice for many things. (b) he didn’t seem too invested/excited in teaching. Felt like he was doing it for the money, which is not a bad thing, but I personally am not in favor of that.

Fantastic experience: With almost no experience in driving to passing the test with good remarks was a tremendous achievement for me, and that happened to me after learning from oakse driving school. The instructor is young, dynamic, humourous and very precise in his instructions. He is patient, careful and has good teaching skills - making my practice sessions non- stressful. The practice sessions were good, timely and well organised according to the needs of the practice. He has good control over the car, and maintains good safety standards. I enjoyed and learned a great deal in my learning sessions with him and therefore I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to drive.

Negative experience: I don't review often but I really need potential customers to be aware. Impatient, bad attitude, and stopped teaching all together after a few mistakes. The teacher is young and might not have much experience teaching from my impression. Also beware most of his successful students are Chinese so mind the language barrier.

Fantastic experience: I got my driving license in NY and new car in CA but I was not confident enough to drive myself, so I asked help from the teacher to get familiar with CA driving rules and my car. He is very responsible and experienced, Influenced in both Chinese and English, I highly recommend this driving school if you need some affordable and helpful classes!
