Negative experience: Apparently when my wife called to discuss lessons for my son they were nasty to the point she hung up on them...shame we have three more kids to go lol oh well onto the next

Negative experience: Missed multiple appointments, never called back after leaving multiple messages, brought a car with an expired registration to my child’s road test so she couldn’t take it, then told my child they made her a new road test appointment and brought her to it only for them to get there and find out they never made a new appointment. It has been back and forth with them for months missing appointments and other excuses for my child not being able to take her road test. Absolutely unbelievable and incredibly unprofessional. They don’t deserve any type of business from anyone. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else. Jim and Diane do not answer any calls and refuse to take responsibility for my time and money wasted.

Fantastic experience: After 5 classes, my son Passed on his first time . John was very professional , always on time , and was very confident my son will be ready for his road test . My son had no complaints about John and actually liked taking the lessons .

Negative experience: While stopped at a red light the car from this driving school cut infront of me while running a red light and stopping in the middle of the intersection almost causing multiple accidents as seen in the photo. Tried to reach out to the school to speak to someone in the office and only got a voice mail and no replies. I wouldn't trust an instructor that drives this wild to teach anyone in my family. I know it was the instructor and not a student because a short distance away they stopped at a house to pick up a student.

Negative experience: Warning: do not use this company! Showed up late every single lesson, stressing out my daughter. Sometimes by an hour or more. I could go on and on with a list of reasons not to use them. Trust me, stay away!

Negative experience: Worst driving school ever. They aren’t even worth 1 star. I went here a year ago for drivers Ed. The driving instructors were nasty. All they would do was stop for food and waste driving time. Don’t go here. Save your money PLEASE!

Negative experience: By far the worst place I was just trying to take my 5 hour class and there always so rude in the phone also the people have no idea what’s going on they tell me one thing but another person says another. Your best bet is just to look somewhere else

Negative experience: Very Disappointed of this company. HE NEVER SHOWED UP FOR MY CLASS. HE LEFT ME WAITING FOR HOURS. I made an appointment for a 45min class, he scheduled me a day before my road test at 12:00pm because that was the only time he was available so I missed one of my college classes just to be ready for my road test the next day. I waited hours for him and he never showed up or answered my calls. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Positive experience: Used it years ago and luckily I passed. Yeah Jim was nice when you did well but was quick to cut you down when you made a mistake. Iused Suffolk Auto School when my kids were ready to drive and they passed first time. I recommend them.

Negative experience: Jim missed the appointment several times, only showed up after we asked for refund. We will never work with him again.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was John not Jim but John is actually so nice and funny. When I read the reviews I was a lil uneasy about going but it was worth it. Took a 5hr and it was cheap and he made it fun. If I needed lessons I definitely would get it with him just because he makes it more fun so you’re not nervous.

Negative experience: Always late and on phone. Careless and stupid, a place that should be shut down. Jim is the worst. There is a saying that once you are too old you should stop, Jim should stop!!!

Fantastic experience: This is a driving school. They don't pass or fail you that is the state DMV.. they give e you the tools to pass . They have no say weather you pass or fail your road test. I saw Savage news review and had to say something.

Fantastic experience: Go here if you're looking for someone who is friendly and you can be comfortable around to teach you to drive. Most driving instructors are robots, this company has nice, respectful people who will teach you all the tips and tricks to pass your road test and have a good time while doing it! Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Very disappointed today... I have used Jim for my 2 older kids and had no problems. In fact it was a very good experience.. Now years later as my youngest takes her first class and driving lesson, it is horrible.. The instructor is yelling at my child.. If you expect a child to know how to drive the very first day they get in your car... You shouldn't be a driving instructor!! I just can't express how angry I am.

Fantastic experience: I've read all these negative reviews and was concerned, but our experience with Mr. Jim was positive. He does like to talk and tell stories, but it's his way to distract and not make the student feel nervous. I paid 5 lessons with another driving school with great reviews and failed. I had a couple of lessons with Mr. Jim and passed. He gave great advice and taught really well, especially the parallel parking! Dianne, who helped me set up the lesson was friendly and professional. I would recommend Jim Cornerstone to anyone, this guy has the knowledge and experience to make you pass the road test! Don't waste your time going anywhere else. You won't regret it.

Negative experience: Worst driving instructor Jim... And my son passed he is so unprofessional and unorganized.. He had my son run errands and taught him to drive poorly. His company should be shut down. Treats his students like trash and he should have to go to anger management classes.. I have 11 children and none will ever attend his classes again.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE!!!!! Paid close to a total of $1000 (after a full course of high school lessons) with this guy. Child still failed several times. Cornerstone kept asking for more and more money for additional lessons but didn't change what he was doing during the lessons or give me a thoughtful answer about what the problem was. He is rude and snotty to parents. Child and I agreed that we would not go back to Cornerstone again. Child finally passed---this time without Cornerstone---without having to pay an additional $750 for bogus lessons. YOU DO NOT NEED HIM!

Negative experience: All I can say is this School is a joke! Charged my friend for driving instructions and she failed her Rd test with points off for every single thing they test for! She should of received a refund!! My friends daughter could not even change lanes properly! Lucky for her I took her out for lessons and she passed her Rd test. I worked for All Suffolk Auto School in Patchogue 9 years ago.. Everyone one of my students , passed their Road test the first time! The owner took her for one lessons before her Rd test ( needed a car for test ) and had the balls to tell her that whoever taught her how to parallel park shouldn't be teaching! The nerve when she could do it every time after I taught her! The owners daughter is the genius who had her for the whole coarse when she failed and received points off for EVERYTHING the first time she took the Rd test! Save your money do not use this School, they suck!

Negative experience: Where do I even start with the unprofessional, uneducated, racist, sexist, xenophobic moron that runs this driving school? I took 10 lessons with him and didn't learn any driving. Unsurprisingly, I failed my road test today, which I had expected. He never actually taught me driving, as much as made snide disrespectful remarks about people of different genders and races while I attempted to drive. He talked through every lesson about his completely boring and mundane life stories, which was extremely distracting and deterred me from focusing on learning. He spoke to me with extreme condescension throughout the process, while his ignorant remarks always put me on edge. Having had no previous driving experiences and being completely new to it as an adult from a foreign country without a driving culture, paying money to Jim was the equivalent of flushing it down the toilet. I have learned nothing and need to start from scratch elsewhere, with hopefully a teacher that is actually mildly socially aware and does something close to instructing. I highly recommend paying a little bit more money to take your driving lessons elsewhere, especially if you are a new adult driver.

Fantastic experience: Great people. That's all you need to know. I can take to the best place ever #Paris but if the people you meet are ass holes, you will hate that place. They are really great nice people and will help you get that license!

Negative experience: I had Elka , the german lady as my instructor and she was great , taught me everything I needed to know parellel parking , 3 point turn etc and I would have passed but , minutes before my road test she told me to not to go 10 over the speed limit or I would fail. I listened to her and after the test I failed for going too slow and I did well on everythinh else. Should have listened to my own intuition.

Fantastic experience: The five stars GOES TO Ulf. She's the best instructor I had for driving classes. She's very efficient and punctual when it comes to her appointments. If anyone goes here ask for Ulf. She's German and have a great great personality. She's the best!!! I travel all the way from Manhattan to Centereach just to get lessons from her. AVOID JIM and his son at all cost.

Positive experience: Let me just begin by saying that I got my driver's license with these people some months ago. If you ask them in person why they have terrible ratings they (Jim) will completely blow up on you and say that upset parents of kids who failed their driving exam left such reviews and that he doesn't need your money anyway because there are tons of other people learning to drive there. I don't believe it, but you can take that cum grano salis. Mr. Jim seems to have an anger problem. 3 stars only because I NEVER HAD TO WORK WITH JIM. If I were to work with Jim, I'd give this place 1 star. I drove with an elderly German lady, (Helga/Olga can't remember her exact name). She was wonderful, always prompt and on time, respectful, and held a great conversation all the while continuing to teach and correct. She instructed well! People in my neighborhood even waved at her on numerous occasions! (Old students of hers.) However, the one time I called their office and got Jim on the phone, he was raging, rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. I don't think he's fit to run the business, but go figure. I'm just happy I had limited interaction with him.
