Fantastic experience: My overall experience with this school was great. Very easy communication with Sara when scheduling my lessons and my test. My driving instructor Mary taught very well and some say she is tough which she could be but if you learn to fix your mistakes and actively listen to what she is trying to help you with, you will get along very well with her. She also very easy to talk to and starts conversation which makes it less awkward in the car. Make sure on top of what Mary teaches you, you go out and practice on your own as well with her methods of driving it will help you get more confident in driving and also make the test a breeze. Slava was also a great help on the day of my test reminding me on little things to fix before my test.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience! I started using this school after being at another one where I felt like I was using my money but not actually learning anything. When I started using this school I had Mary and instantly noticed a difference. Although she can be very strict, she clearly knows what she is doing and is truly passionate about teaching kids and making the roads a safer place. She always went above and beyond to help me get to where I am. With her help I was able to get a perfect score on my road test!

Fantastic experience: If you are ever looking for a straight forward instructor that will help you pass the test MARY is the person you need. She tells you how it is doesn't beat around the bush and tells you exactly what you need to know! All instructors should be just like her. Thanks Mary for helping on my first try & I passed! Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at this driving school. Sara, who runs the school, is incredibly pleasant and always helpful. Whenever I called, she answered with politeness and made sure all my questions were addressed.My instructor, Lalee, was amazing! She not only provided valuable driving lessons but also brought humor and positivity to each session. Her encouragement and motivation gave me the confidence I needed to pass my road test. Fantastic experience: I had Mary as my instructor and although she is stern in the beginning, Mary has a true passion for teaching the rules of the road and that always shined through with every lesson I had. With her guidance and expertise I passed my road test. Excellent service!!

Fantastic experience: My experience at Safety First Driving School in New City was the best with Mary. Not only is she an amazing instructor, but also an amazing person with a very kind heart. She is strict during lessons, but only because she wants the best for her students. She makes sure I learn from my mistakes and to practice becoming a better driver. I was so nervous on my road test, but I got a perfect score, all thanks to Mary. She always eased my nerves behind the wheel and supported me. I couldn’t have done it without her.

Fantastic experience: My son, Aidan, was very happy with his driving lessons. He felt that although Mary was a tough teacher, she not only thoroughly prepared him for the road test but was very focused on teaching him how to be a safe and confident driver. Communication throughout the process was great and scheduling was easy.

Fantastic experience: This place was so helpful in helping me pass my road test! Definitely couldn’t have done it without them. I had a bunch of different instructors so I’ll leave a little short review of each one: Les: I had Les for my first lesson. He was very calm and helped me out a lot. I appreciated his tips on k turns and parallel parking Lollie: She was hilarious and kind, I absolutely loved her. I only had her once but would have loved to have her again. Stu: One of my favorite instructors. He was funny and kind and was great at explaining to me how to parallel park. I sucked at it before he gave me his tips. I would have liked to have him more than once but unfortunately didn’t have an opportunity. I highly recommend him! Mary: She seems to be the most popular, and for a good reason! Mary is a great driver, and great at explaining but definitely one of the tougher instructors. It took me a few minutes to get used to her toughness but it definitely helped me a ton. She really watches everything you do, which helped to catch some of my most prevalent mistakes.

Fantastic experience: This is the best driving school in Rockland! My16 year old daughter had Les, he was patient, professional and also on time. Les made sure 100% my daughter was safe on the road! The Communication is absolutely amazing! I will be using them again when my son gets his permit!

Fantastic experience: I had Les as my instructor for couple of lessons, he’s very patient, soft spoken and professional. Slava was my instructor before the road test and has helped me to remember on how to to perform the parallel parking and 3 point turn. His last minute tips helped me pass my roadtest. Sarah, she’s very kind and accommodating. All the best safety first! I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Safety First Driving School was truly exceptional, despite having taken only a few lessons. I had the pleasure of being instructed by Mary, who exhibited a remarkable combination of directness, humor, and kindness. Her deep understanding of the road and the intricacies of driving made the learning process not only informative but also enjoyable. On another occasion, I was fortunate to have Susan as my instructor. It was her first day on the job, but her warmth and friendliness instantly put me at ease. Susan's encouragement and guidance significantly boosted my confidence, ultimately leading to my success in passing the road test the very next day, with only a minimal deduction of 5 points. In addition to the lessons, I also enrolled in their pre-license 5-hour course. It was structured exceptionally well, making it easy to follow and comprehend the essential concepts necessary for safe driving. I can't recommend Safety First Driving School enough. It is an affordable and amazing place that equips you with the skills and confidence needed to successfully pass your road test. Their instructors are highly knowledgeable and supportive, ensuring a positive and effective learning experience. If you want to be well-prepared for the road and your driving test, this school is undoubtedly the way to go.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend SafetyFirst, my lessons with Joseph made me a much more confident driver. I had worked with another driving school before, and Safety First was by far the better experience. I couldn’t have passed without them

Fantastic experience: My instructor, Mary, was amazing. She made sure to teach me the rules of the road and made sure I knew what to do in any situation. She was very thorough during her lessons and great at communicating what needs to be changed while driving. Overall, I am very happy with her and I had a positive experience!

Fantastic experience: Mary, my son and daughters driving instructor, was amazing. She’s very strict, hard, and stern; however, she made my kids strong and confident drivers. My kids told me how they always felt safe in the car. They would come home with stories and confidence knowing that they are becoming better drivers. 10/10 would totally recommend Mary.

They were prompt in scheduling my lessons, and their rates were affordable. I had a fantastic experience with the driving school company and Mary. I feel confident in my driving abilities thanks to her expertise and guidance.

Positive experience: Mary was one of the best instructors, She always encouraged me and made sure I was safe while going through everything. She's bit rough around the edges. But she is very knowledgeable about driving. She did good

Negative experience: I spent unbelievable money at this school without any ‘good’ learning experience.!! I had mary and she definitely was hard on me …even made me tear up!! Being so stern and yelling. If I could I would ask for a refund cause this school was not worth it. I paid for five lessons and last one for the real driving test …but was given just the lessons and not a road test that I paid for in my package!! I recommend to go to white plains driving school, they definitely know what they’re doing.

Negative experience: Had Mary, terrible experience. I did not go back due to my first lesson being with her but willing to give it another try with another instructor. Constantly yelling, touched my chin at one point & non empathetic for a first timer.

Fantastic experience: Omg this was the best driving school I’ve ever been too the driving instructors were so nice. They never yelled you unless it’s for your safety and if your life is really in danger. I originally went to rock land driving but then I switched to safety first.

Positive experience: Sara, Joseph, Slava & Lolly were all great. Mary on the other hand spewed nothing but bigotry during our lesson. Yelling at other people out the window reaching over you just so she can honk at other cars. It's a shame because she is clearly knowledgeable about driving but don't think this kind of job is for her. How they still choose to employ her is beyond me as she's a terrible representative for what's a great company. Had she been my first instructor I would've never continued lessons with Safety First. Overall a good company and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I had Joe my first few lessons. He was very real and taught me what I needed to know. Les was also amazing he helped me realize the little details were very important. After five lessons took my road test in Peekskill . Confidence is key which she helped me maintain the whole ride to the road test and it was easy peasy. They are also very flexible with your schedule, professional. Recommend 10/10

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great experience. She had taken lessons previously with a different school and this experience was so much more positive! Stu was able to calm her nerves, was very supportive and encouraging and worked with her to be a better driver. Sara in the office is as sweet as can be! They really care about their students. And my daughter passed the road test!!
