Fantastic experience: I had the privilege of taking the Advanced Rider Course with Daniel at ProRider Richmond, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Daniel went above and beyond to make sure I not only understood the techniques, but also felt confident applying them in real-world situations. His passion for motorcycling and teaching really shines through. He genuinely cares about making riders safer and more skilled on the road. The life-saving skills and techniques I learned are things I’ll carry with me every single time I’m on two wheels. As a newer rider, I now feel far more comfortable and in control, and I know I’ll continue to grow thanks to the foundation he helped build. I would recommend this course to anyone who rides, and especially those who ride with a passenger. It’s worth every second. Thank you, Daniel, for your knowledge, patience, and dedication. You have made me a more confident and safer rider!

Daniel Deaton was a phenomenal instructor — incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and skilled at breaking down advanced motorcycle techniques in a way that made sense and built real confidence. What really stood out was how flexible he was with my schedule, making sure I could attend and get the most out of the class despite a busy calendar. The advanced training itself was top-notch. It pushed me in all the right ways, and I walked away a better, more aware rider. The environment was welcoming, and it was a great day spent with awesome people who were all passionate about improving their riding skills. I’ll definitely be coming back as an alumni for some of the lighter refreshers just to keep sharpening my skills. Highly recommend to any rider looking to level up!

Fantastic experience: Great course!!! I took the advance course combining defensive and precision riding. Highly recommend this class to anyone. It forced me out of my comfort zone and into the friction zone! I had watched videos, played in parking lots, and practiced whenever possible but this course forced me to not cheat myself out of tighter turns and keep my feet off the ground. I had ridden years ago with a long break in-between and when they say it is a perishable skill there is no truer statement. Daniel offers riders who take his course to come back and practice each time he holds a new one. I am planning on attending as many as I can. On a side note if you are riding a cruiser style bike I would highly recommend getting a set of motorcycle drop guards on your machine. I ride a brand new 2024 Harley Davidson Street Glide and installed them prior to taking the course. The slow speeds you will be riding on the precision course along with the drop guards will protect your investment. I only dropped mine once but there was zero damage. Even with a 5" exhaust nothing but the drop guards, and my ego made contact with the pavement. Daniel has a link for them on his website. Thanks Daniel.

Fantastic experience: Great course and a great instructor. I was nervous about being able to make it through, but with the instruction along the way and the pace of the course I was making tight, slow speed turns within the first hour. All riders should take this course, guaranteed to learn a lot!

Fantastic experience: If you want to test your skills, this is the class to take. I ride a sport bike and learning how to do tight twists and turns only improved my riding, confidence, and skills! The instructor was patient and willing to help me learn at a good pace, when I get another bike I’ll definitely be taking this class again!

Fantastic experience: I looked for riding classes outside of the basic licensing class. I found ProRider by word of mouth and social media. The owner of ProRider is a Motor Officer and most of all someone who wants other motorcyclists to gain knowledge and skills to keep them safer on the roads. I paid the money and was contacted quickly as well as any questions or concerns answered. I came to the class nervous and was welcomed right away. I had like most people watched videos and read about how to hone your skills. I can tell you that while videos are helpful they are nothing compared to actually coming to ProRider Richmond. Not only was every stage explained and demonstrated by Daniel he would literally be right there to encourage and talk you through everything. What I learned that day and practiced of object avoidance and maneuvering after the class has helped me and without a doubt keeping me a safer rider. I Highly recommend ProRider Richmond, It’s what you learn after you know that will make you better.

Fantastic experience: The defensive rider course I took under Instructor Daniel Deaton offered me lots of techniques to avoid common causes of motorcycle accidents. He patiently explains and demonstrates every maneuver and then gives you plenty of time to practice them. He keeps his classes small so that everyone gets the one on one advice and instruction that can benefit them. I feel so much more confident and empowered to ride after taking this class. I am a fairly new rider but there were very experienced riders in my class, and we all had a great time and came away with some new or refreshed skills. I would definitely suggest any motorcyclists take this course at Prorider Richmond.

Fantastic experience: I attended the 8 hour Advanced Rider Course. This was by far, some of the best training I have received on a motorcycle. The Course is challenging for skilled riders and an absolute must for newer or inexperienced riders. I would highly recommend ProRider Richmond to build your street riding skills.
