PowerRide University is Northern Virginia's top choice for motorcycle education. Whether you have never touched a motorcycle, or you have been riding for years with or without your endorsement, this is the school for you!
We are a locally owned and operated school in Prince William County. All of our Rider Coaches are experienced and certified in teaching the public how to ride a motorcycle safely and still have fun. We offer introductory classes, basic and advanced classes for ages 16 and up. We are approved by the Virginia Department of Rider Education and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
You will learn to ride using our motorcycles on a safe closed circuit course. Our motorcycles are small and lightweight, so you can concentrate on

Fantastic experience: I took the BRC Beginner Course. 5 hours of online E course and 2 days of riding class. The instructor JJ was very professional, friendly, patient, knowledgeable and humorous. I recommend taking the beginner course for Power Ride University for first timers.

Negative experience: Had my wife take this course she's been wanting to learn to ride. Immediately after you pay you start getting emails on a thousands rules and if you break one rule they'll kick you out it's like they're letting you know they are looking for an excuse to kick you out and take your money. Long story short she was treated horribly no patience towards a beginner rider she got kicked out for not being able to go straight in a line and was told she needs to be in a beginners class?? Than what class is this?? In the online questionnaire it asks if you have any experience and she obviously said no and I know for a fact she didn't sign up for an experienced class so I don't understand what the problem was. One of the instructors was particular rude to her from the beginning I would not recommend this business to anyone they only had 6 people in the class and she was told they couldn't spend a little extra time with her explaining things better because they had other students. Crushed my wife's dreams of riding a motorcycle good job power ride university keep the money and buy yourselves some humanity.
La_Muerte_13, thank you for providing information regarding your wife's course. I have tried to reach out, but have had no response in return. The coach provided additional time during the first exercise for all students to make sure they were prepared to move to the next exercise. Our RiderCoach realized remedial training was needed and did provide one on one training during a 20 minute break with your wife, but she was still not ready to safely complete the course. It was suggested to her that she participate in an Introductory to Motorcycle Experience, this would give her 2hrs of learning the bike, balance and the friction zone. Fantastic experience: The coaches was very nice. I got there like 20 minutes late and they kick me out but that was my fault I shouldn’t have been late so don’t be late.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for the best beginner three Wheel riding course this is the place to find it. My wife and I just finished up our two day course and both passed with flying colors. This was only possible because of our amazing instructor Phil. Not only did he make it educational he made it a lot of fun and easy to understand. He is a real standup guy and my wife and I will definitely be reaching out to him for group rides in the future. Do yourself a favor and sign up for this course.

Negative experience: The class was fun but at the same time very unprofessional and frustrating. Both days we ended up finishing at 7:40 when we were supposed to be finished at 5, but it extended longer because of the disorganization of the instructors/late arrival from the instructors, and unclear directions. the instructors at times were very vague and didn’t explain things very well causing confusion amongst the classmates, resulting in unorganized chaos on the course. with that being said, i did get my license so that’s cool, and the instructors do seem like cool guys, i just disagree with how they handled everything. i would recommend a different course.
I am very sorry that your course ran long. We have made some changes that are helping to keep the course more on schedule. Our coaches try and please everyone and sometimes we find students need a bit more help than others. It is a delicate balance to give the students extra time and also keep the class on schedule. We appreciate your patience during the class and please know we are constantly working to improve our program.
