Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to become a better rider and gain more confidence in slow speed maneuvers than you want to take this class. Jeff was a great instructor taking time to explain the different drills and techniques for them and why they are important. He gave positive feedback after each attempt and made it a fun and enjoyable class. Highly recommend it
Matt, thank you for your great review! I enjoyed having you in class.
Fantastic experience: I took this course from Jeff in August 2024. I recommend this course and Jeff as an instructor with no reservations. I feel much more confident with low speed turning and manuevers using the techniques taught in this course. Jeff is encouraging but will challenge you as well to commit and improve. I think every rider would benefit from taking this class.
John, thank you for your generous review. It was a pleasure having you in class.
Fantastic experience: This class challenged me. I learned so many useful things about controlling my bike through low-speed maneuvering and the skills can be practiced outside of class. I recommend this course for anyone that wants to be a better, more confident rider. Jeff is a great teacher. His experience, patience, and one on one critiques are the best reason to take this course in Pittsburgh. I would take any class Jeff teaches.
Dan, the review you provided is notable. Thank you for the kind words. It was great having you in class.
Fantastic experience: Great class for everyone that wants to be pushed out of your comfort zone! You get the basics for slow maneuvers that you can continue to build upon after the class. Learning how to control your bike at very slow speeds increases your confidence and helps you better understand the handling characteristics of your own bike. This is the 2nd time I've taken this class (1st time in Colorado) and I obviously recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their riding skills!
Thank you Richard for the good review. We enjoyed you being in the class.
Fantastic experience: It was great experience professionally run. Every rider should take this class from novice to the most experienced. This class will open your eyes to what you never knew. Jeff is a calming and patient trainer. Thank You Jeff

Fantastic experience: I have taken the class with Jeff on August 2023. We learned how to handle a heavy cruiser motorcycle at low speeds. Jeff is a very patient instructor always willing to help you and his team helped the class being really enjoyable. I highly recommend anybody who purchases a heavy bike to take this training. It will help with your riding skills and it was really fun.
Thank you Ricardo for the review. It was great having you in class.
Fantastic experience: I took Jeff's class this weekend (7/15/23) with my wife. I highly recommend this course. Jeff is an excellent instructor. His class perfect for any skill level. There is no feeling of intimidation. He gives excellent feedback and instruction at each phase of the course before and during each exercise. On top of the skills learned, it was most of all, fun!
Thank you for the kind words. It was great having you in class.
Fantastic experience: Great program put on by Jeff and Tina. This was a positive learning experience for me. Very low pressure instruction, coupled with a friendly environment. Jeff is able to easily spot your mistakes and give advice on how to improve your skills. I highly recommend this class for anyone looking to improve their riding skills. You won't be disappointed. Thank you again.
Thank you Bill for the great review. It was great having you in class.
Fantastic experience: I took Jeff’s course on May 20, 2023. He was very patient with me, and it was obvious that he is passionate about teaching his students to be better and safer riders. I learned a few key techniques that will help me in real life riding. I highly recommend taking his course! Gary Wobb
Thank you Gary for your review. It was great having you in class.
Fantastic experience: This is the second time I've taken this class and it is a lot of fun. This class is not designed for those that have no experience at riding a motorcycle however it is for those who have ridden for several thousand miles and now want to learn how to operate a motorcycle at low speed with control. The techniques for low speed control are not difficult to understand but they are a little bit tricky to put into practice however I know with more practice I will get much better. The class is designed to be fun and low pressure and Jeff is very encouraging truly the only pressure is that that you put on yourself. I look forward to taking another class next summer to help reinforce what I learned today. And I recommend all Riders take this class.
Fantastic experience: I attended this course in Sept of 22'. The course starts out slow, but then gets very technical. Jeff was able to provide just the right about of corrections to get me where i needed to be with Throttle, rear Brake, and clutch control. Thank you Jeff and Tina.
Fantastic experience: After attending @Ride Like A Pro Pittsburgh’s class I came away with a better understanding of low speed riding. I thought that the class was going to be relatively easy but after discovering that I have a great deal to learn, Jeff explained the fundamentals and common problems and solutions we motorcycle riders encounter while low speed maneuvering in more confined areas. I took away a great deal and look forward to attending additional classes and growing in skill. After today’s class I can honestly say that I grew as a rider and have the base to continuously practice my new skill set.
Thank you! It was a great riding with you!
Fantastic experience: Jeff and Tina are so good at what they do. Jeff explains everything clearly and in a way that is easy to understand. I've been riding for a long time the wrong way, thanks to Jeff I now have the techniques to keep me and my wife safe thanks Jeff Greg A
Thanks for the positive feedback, Greg! I was a pleasure having you on the course!
Fantastic experience: My wife signed me up for the class as a birthday present. The class was a great learning experience. Even after 40 years of riding street bikes, there is always something to get better at. I highly recommend the class for riders of all skill levels. Jeff is a great instructor and makes the class informative and fun. We had a great group of guys in the class that also added to the fun.
John, thank you for the review. We enjoyed having you in class.
Fantastic experience: The course is excellent. Jeff and Tina are wonderful instructors. They give you the tools you need to succeed and the patience and understanding for you to learn how to use those tools. My first time through, I failed at completing some exercises. I wasn't willing to commit myself and trust Jeff's direction. After some practice at home (and a dropped bike), I was able to complete the U-turn. One those helpful tools is learning how to pick up your 900 lb motorcycle. I will be heading back to take this course again. This course is a must for someone who doesn't just want to ride, but wants to ride like a pro!
Thank You, James! It was great riding with you.
Fantastic experience: I needed help making u turns and to feel more confident with slow speed maneuvering. Especially with parking the bike on runs and at rallies . It was embarrassing to ask my passenger to get off of the bike so I could go park the bike. The ride like a pro class in Pittsburgh changed my life . The instructor was very informative and patient. I rode away feeling more confident. I learned a lot. This is a great place to learn. No one there was judging … a lot of support from fellow riders -classmates.
Thank you, Greg! It was a pleasure having you in class.
Fantastic experience: The level 2 class really increased and refined my skills. Jeff helped me with something I couldn't do consistently. Not intimidated by tight situations out on the streets which is a real blessing. Recently entered a motorcycle skills competition and placed 3rd in the novice class. Hats off to Tina and Jeff .
Thanks Ken. It was a pleasure having you in class.
Fantastic experience: This course is very challenging and not for the faint of heart. I found it even more daunting being the only woman in the class. Tina’s consistent encouragement helped me keep both wheels on the ground. Jeff, the instructor, does a great job explaining the techniques and modeling them as well. It was difficult for me to simultaneously apply all the tactics and correctly navigate through the range. I struggled with accurately identifying the course layout… and not quickly knowing where to be to set my bike up for the next turn. I appreciated the one-on-one instruction Jeff provided after each exercise. Getting the immediate feedback enabled me to make accurate corrections which allowed me to continuously improve my skills throughout the day. I didn’t leave the course being able to ride like a pro. However, I learned the three foundational techniques needed to ride like a pro. Taking the class definitely enhanced my motorcycle skills… and that alone made this course a good value. Tina and Jeff make this course a good experience for all riders. Expectations and techniques are communicated effectively, riding assessments are given immediately and their service skills and professionalism are unmatched. I highly recommend taking this course if you want to improve your ability to handle your bike at a low rate of speed. Jeff and Tina, you make an awesome team! Continue utilizing each others strengths… and Ride Like a Pro Pittsburgh will reach levels of success beyond your imaginations.
Thank you so much, Kimberly! It was a joy to have you on the course!
Fantastic experience: If you consider yourself a serious rider, this is a course you must take. It was humbling, but it also taught me so much. Learning to moderate the clutch and rear brake can take your skills to the next level. Jeff is an incredible teacher. He and his wife present this course extremely well. Patient, encouraging, and very knowledgable. I highly recommend taking this course. It challenged me, but i thoroughly enjoyed the course and definitely walked away a more skilled and better educated rider.
Eric, Thanks so much for the review. I look forward to riding with you again! -Jeff
Fantastic experience: As this was my first formal training in motorcycle riding after riding over 25 years, Jeff showed me the techniques needed to keep my big goldwing behaving how I want it to at slower speeds. Now it's up to me to keep practicing and make it all muscle memory for those situations that are more than just hitting an orange cone. Thanks Jeff
Thank You, Jay! I am looking forward to riding with you again.
Fantastic experience: The Ride Like a Pro Advanced Motorcycle Skills Training Class helped give me the confidence and greater competence in handling slow and moderate speed maneuverability, making riding much more enjoyable, but also feeling much safer with the skills necessary to avoid or get out of dangerous situations in a more controlled manner. I came into this course with four years of street "cruiser" riding, some prior off-road dirt bike experience, and the basic motorcycle safety training course, and found myself somewhere in the middle of the group as far as experience and capabilities on the bike. I've watched videos, and practiced on my own, but the in-person instruction and feedback that I got from Jeff Roehrig, the course instructor, (assisted by his wife Tina) really made a difference in improving and advancing my knowledge and skills, as well as confidence on the bike. I was somewhat nervous going into the training, not knowing what to expect, and afraid of dropping my bike, but Jeff walked us through each exercise, provided demonstrations, and addressed concerns about dropping the bike, and his professional and positive approach to the training made me feel much more comfortable and able to relax and enjoy the training, and as a result I was able to get a lot more out of it. I'd highly recommend this course to anyone that wants to build on a good foundation of skills and experience, even if you have a lot of experience and training, in order to develop and maintain that "muscle memory" for better control and handling at slower speeds and riding enjoyment, but especially to be able to respond quickly and safely in dangerous situations when there is very little time to think about how to respond.
Tim, Thank you for your great review! We enjoyed having you in the class!
Fantastic experience: This course will improve skills no matter what level you’re at. Jeff and Tine we’re great thank you so much.
Thanks for your review, Scott. It was a pleasure having you on the course.
Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed today's class. I have my work cut out for me practicing what I learned today. Jeff did a great job helping me see both big and small things I can incorporate into what I've already been doing to make huge improvements. He was very patient and approached everyone where they found themselves skill wise. Everybody really seemed to have fun and come away with improved skills and confidence... I know I did!
Thank you! It was a pleasure riding with you!
Fantastic experience: This course was really fun. Jeff and Tina we're great. You will have the opportunity to run through a bunch of drills a few times. The drills are tough and really force you to improve skills like throttle and clutch control, rear brake, and turning your head to look where you want to go. You will absolutely leave a better rider than when you showed up. Highly recommend to all riders no matter how long you've been riding.
Thanks, Brian!
Fantastic experience: What a great training course. This course is a must for anyone wanting to enhance your motorcycle skills. Jeff is a top shelf instructor, very patient.
Thank you for the great review! You did well on the course!
Fantastic experience: I just took the course with Jeff this weekend. The exercises weren’t easy, and I certainly have a lot more practice to go before I’m a pro, but the class was great. Tina keeps all of the logistics flowing smoothly and Jeff is a very dedicated instructor. I felt like I learned new skills and came out as a better rider.
Thanks for the great review, Jason!
Fantastic experience: I just completed the Ride Like Pro course on July 11th, 2020. I made in through all of the required exercises, although I obviously can still use more exercise on all of them to become more proficient. The course was outstanding and I learned a ton of new skills, tips and tricks to help settle my nerves when making tight maneuvers with a ~650lb bike at slow speeds that I plan on continuing to sharpen. I learned how to properly use the the friction zone, head and eyes all while utilizing the rear brake to maintain my speed and stability. You will not regret taking this class. It is worth the time and money. You will immediately put what you learned to use and you will be amazed at how easy it really is. I still have a lot to learn, but now I know what to work on to make myself a better and more successful/cautious rider. The one piece of advice I would give to riders on the fence about taking this course would be not to worry about embarrassing yourself. Jeff and Tina have seen it all and they really want to make you a better, safer rider.
Thank you, Ken!
Fantastic experience: Took this class at the end of summer and could not have had a better experience! Jeff's teaching style is very welcoming and confidence inspiring. I've been riding off and on for about 8 years and just bought a Road King two months prior to taking the class. Just a few hours with Jeff and I'm no longer doubting my abilities in slow speed scenarios. My wife even commented on how that short class improved my riding. WELL WORTH the money and time regardless of how long you've been riding!
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: I took this Ride Like a Pro course after riding for 41 years (started riding at age 14). My main goal was to learn how to make a quick and safe U-turn on the motorcycle. In order to do this correctly, we first had to learn how to control the bike using the “friction zone” in combination with the rear brake, head and eyes. The instructor and owner of Ride Like a Pro Pittsburgh is Jeff Roehrig. Jeff has an excellent method for teaching how to get into the friction zone and use it to complete the course. He was patient and explained every step of the course along the way. I now have the skills and knowledge to take home with me and practice on a regular basis in order to fine tune these skills. I HIGHLY recommend this course and in particular our instructor, Jeff.
Thank you for the excellent review and your kind words. Your skills and confidence improved greatly throughout the course. It was a pleasure having you in class. Be safe out there! -Jeff
