MSF Training Centre: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I took the basic ridercourse class with Joy and Jerome. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, direct, and experienced. I would recommend this class to all motorcyclists who want to be safe and enjoy their time more on two wheels! Thank you once again to MSF!
Fantastic experience: I took the MSF Basic RiderCourse and was coached by Coach Coral and Coach Joy — both were excellent. They were positive and , corrected our mistakes in a smart and respectful way, and stayed patient the whole time. Their coaching style made it easy to focus and learn without pressure. Highly recommend these two if you’re signing up!
Fantastic experience: Outstanding instruction from Joy and Jerome!
Fantastic experience: Don’t think about it just do it. The class is well worth it. The instructors are amazing and are the very best at what they do. Remember Holly is a professional . Grateful for them.
Fantastic experience: Had a great time there. Very professional and 100% recommended
Fantastic experience: Instructor Jeff was great, good introduction to motorcycling!
Fantastic experience: I just passed the course yesterday, my instructors Herb & Louis were very informative and overall good people. This class was 100% no nonsense and straight to the point. The facility is up-to-date , clean, and welcoming. They have a bunch of motorcycles and gear to choose from when you take your course. 300cc Naked, Dual sport, Cruisers, and Honda Groms I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING THIS COURSE. I learned to ride street bikes from a friend, but this course teaches everything you need to know. I wouldn't let my loved one ride a motorcycle on the streets without this course!
Fantastic experience: Great place and great people.
Fantastic experience: Tom and Jeff were amazing!! 10/10 instructors. They are EXTREMELY patient with new riders and truly want you to do well and pass. Could not have had a better experience. Thank you for eveything!!
Fantastic experience: Great facility. Great instructors. One of the best places to take the MSF course in Georgia. Bikes are very nice and clean for the MSF.
Fantastic experience: Recently took the two day basic rider course. Our group consisted of around a dozen people, some who were brand new to riding and a few that had previous experience, along with our two instructors who were very friendly, informative and professional. I learned lots of useful information and plenty of low speed skills that you can take away with you to continue to work on as you start out on your riding journey. The bikes we got to use were Honda bikes. Mine was a CB300 in great shape. Really pleased that I chose this route to get my M class endorsement. If I had failed the evaluation, it would still have been worth it. As someone that used to ride years ago (in a different country), this was a great way of getting back on two wheels and going over all the basics again. Overall, it was an excellent experience and would recommend it to anyone looking to get their license or even just for a fun and interesting weekend.
Fantastic experience: Amazing instructors who are extremely helpful and understanding. If you want to go get your motorcycle license get it here.
Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend taking a class here! You will learn essential skills and safety practices. I had Brittany and Sarah who were phenomenal. They were patient, considerate, and had a great sense of humour. They were also not afraid to provide constructive criticism, it’s for our benefit! I was so nervous going in as I was a complete novice and kept thinking I wouldn’t be able to get down any of the skills, but they construct the class so you’re always building knowledge and confidence. It’s still on you to put in the work though. I tend to ask a lot of questions and they were enthusiastic to answer all of them, and they create an environment where you feel comfortable with doing so. At one point I felt that I had struggled with one of the exercises and brought it to Brittany’s attention, to which she offered to coach me further without hesitation. Their encouragement and passion to help new riders is inspiring and makes me excited to join this community. I could go on about Brittany and Sarah, but you should just take the class to see for yourself. I’d also like to add that a couple of people in my group were not so proficient in English. Brittany and Sarah were so accommodating and had a lot of grace - what class acts! Everyone should feel welcome to take this course, but I would still recommend being at least somewhat familiar with English as understanding instructions is important for the activities and testing. But, please don’t make that the main deciding factor when signing up. I also had Peter as my introductory instructor and will say the same things about him - he has the patience, a sense of humor, and really cares. He instructed another class that same weekend and came to say Hi! It seems you’ll get a great experience no matter who you get. With both classes, there was no judgement and all fun. They’ll do everything they can to make sure you build upon your skills. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and trust your instructors - they’ll only ever ask you to do something that is safe and valuable to your learning. I was grateful to have amazing people in my class as well, we all helped each other and got along easily!
Fantastic experience: Joy and Clark did a fantastic job. I had just a little experience going into this, and they reinforced/taught essential skills for safety and tight maneuvering. I feel much more confident in my ability to ride safely, and earned my endorsement at the same time. Many people in my class had never been on a motorcycle and did a great job. However, If you are not coordinated/not fast learner, I would recommend trying a friends bike in a lot or try their even more beginner course before taking the BRC. I feel like the small amount of experience helped me actually grasp concepts and implement their instructions more efficiently.
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience doing the Beginner Rider Course at MSF. Joy and Tom were great instructors, they were super friendly, constructive, and patient with the class. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn the basics of motorcycles and riding!
Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic time! I took the Basic Rider course. Brittany and Jeff made the class fun and engaging. They are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about your safety. I look forward to taking more classes in the near future!
Fantastic experience: Took the Basic Ridercourse here and it was a fantastic experience! My instructors were Joy and Herb, both 10/10 coaches throughout. Each day was like a flawless production, sans camera crew. The education here is an excellent value, priceless really. The steps of your skill building will be at a quick pace. However, your instructors will personally coach you, so listen well and implement what they say, and you will be a better rider for it. Mental processing and basic physical aptitude is crucial on a motorcycle. If you are prone to heat exhaustion (especially in direct sunlight on asphalt), consider the time of year that you are scheduling your course.
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the BRC here to get your motorcycle endorsement. The program was very professional with great staff and great facilities!
Fantastic experience: Hi Arik here. Great course. Cool instructors with great sense of humor. Fun time. No complaints.
Fantastic experience: Took the Beginners Riding Course and I’m so glad I did. Instructors Jeff and Terry were phenomenal and very helpful throughout the course. Not only I had a great time but everyone there was super nice . I strongly recommend coming to this MSF Course, super helpful and informative.
Positive experience: Would recommend this class to an inspiring motorcyclist
Fantastic experience: If you don't know how to ride, if you want to learn how to ride, if you know how to ride, if you want to improve, COME HERE, TAKE THE COURSE. Course was great. Provided a safe environment to get to learn how to ride a bike. Teaches you essential concepts and knowledge of bike riding. Instructors were great. There's a lot of riding that relies on you to get accustomed and feel what you have to do while you have instructors coach you and point out problems to fix because out in the real world, they aren't going to be there to tell you what you need to do to avoid being in a dangerous accident. I'll be back for more courses. One course is NOWHERE near enough contrary to popular belief. YOU NEVER STOP IMPROVING. PS: Make sure you know how to ride a bicycle and understand how shifting and clutch works. This is ESSENTIAL. You don't need to know how to drive manual, but you will need to know HOW it works.
Fantastic experience: I just wanted to share my experience after taking my msf course here! These negative reviews definitely had me a bit frightened at first, but overall it was a great experience! I met new people and my instructors were amazing! They go into depth from how to mount a bike, to clutch control, throttle control, etc. Everything you need to start off right! I came into my basic riding course never ridden a bike before, and left with so many useful skills as well as my endorsement! If you are thinking about taking your basic riding course here, I would definitely recommend you too. The instructors were patient and throughly explained the exercises so you could succeed in both just practicing and your final test. This is a beginner friendly course even though some reviews say it isn’t. This is definitely the perfect place to start
Negative experience: I took this course March 30th and 31st with no experience in riding. During the 4 part test, some riders were instructed to do over/repeat one of the 4 parts of the test, if you failed/ didn’t do that part correctly. Since I wasn’t asked to do anything over I thought I passed. I wrote a longer review but decided to delete it based off the information I received from MSF via email. I spoke with Austin. He elaborated on their rules. Rules are rules so I failed. Please note this 2 day course isn’t for beginners. You have to have some experience riding maybe a couple of rides under your belt before you take this course. I had no experience other than watching a few YouTube videos (which is nothing) and it was my first time on a bike. I didn’t drop the bike or cause myself or anyone harm, but I failed by not riding fast enough making sharp turns. In an honest opinion this should be a 3 day class. I got use to the bike during my 2nd day. HERES A TIP. If your friend has a bike have them help you ride a few times. This course is not for beginners. Make the class meaningful by riding a few times with help from a friend. Don’t loose $300.00 like me thinking this is an introduction to riding.
Fantastic experience: I took my MSF course and license test here last year. Excellent instructor. Never asks you to do anything he doesn't demonstrate first on an absolute tank of a Harley. If he can do it on that, you can do it on your bike
Fantastic experience: My son was very appreciative of the instructors here. He said they were very nice and great. I’ve been to one other training facility in the Atlanta area, but I highly recommend this one. The picture I’ve attached is looking out over the training area as you step outside of the classrooms. It’s a pretty large area. Plenty of room to run 2-4 classes simultaneously. The facility also has a break room with a refrigerator so students can bring their lunch.
Fantastic experience: Tom and Peter were amazing instructors who truly care and always point out why something went wrong and how to prevent it again. From knowing barely how to balance a bike to doing emergency swerve maneuvers in less than 2 days is amazing and I owe it all to them.
Negative experience: For $50 it says: "not designed to teach actual riding skills", and for $300 it says: "ten hours of riding instruction", which is sadly misleading. The instruction means watch me do this and you go and do the same thing! This is more of a skill evaluation than any instruction and if you're expecting them to teach you how to ride a motorcycle from scratch you're going to be sadly disappointed and out $300.
Positive experience: My instructors were decent. This was my first experience riding a motorcycle. Before going to the actual class, you must first take this ecourse online that takes between 5-6 hours to complete. The ecourse was extremely helpful educating you on safety, handling and overall motorcyle knowledge. During my time taking course in person, the instructors at times were a bit harsh in their tone and instructions. Two people quit during our two day session. There is a skills test of 5 exercises, 4 of which are actual required state exercises if you go to the DMV and take the skills test. I went to this motorcycle safety course based off of referrals. My advice for any one new is to first study for your permit and go take the 20 question exam. Try to get some time riding before you go to this course. I would say at least 2-3 weeks or more of riding in a non crowded parking lot. Look on youtube. Do your research on riding and controlling the bike and then go to this course. The course is helpful because they harp on safety and if you pass the skills test and exam they give, you basically get a waiver to take to the DMV to receive your actual motorcycle license.
Fantastic experience: Excellent Street and Dirt training facility.
Fantastic experience: Best experience of my life! I had the best instructors Brittany and Jonathan were absolutely fantastic! Never done anything like this in my life and I passed with flying colors! Thank you guys so much for working with me and being awesome! And thank you to Jonathan for being my photographer 10/10 would definitely recommend
Fantastic experience: Dirt bike course was great
Fantastic experience: Wonderful instructors... learned more than I thought I would.
Fantastic experience: Learned to ride a motorcycle here a few months ago. Prior to attending the MSF course, I was a complete newbie and had never 1) driven a motorcycle or 2) driven a manual car. I took the course and the instructors were great. Excellent instruction and teaching of fundamental riding skills. I passed the driving and written exams, got my M class license, bought a bike, and ride almost everyday now.
Fantastic experience: Learning to ride a motorcycle isn't easy and it can be dangerous without the proper training. This class helped me to learn the basics but it will take more practice on my own to build confidence. Expect to be challenged if you take this course. They don't just give it away.
Fantastic experience: It is pretty good Course is fun
Fantastic experience: Great coach for the BRC2 in August 2022. Learned things I thought I already knew and enjoyed the drills that were part of this class. Leaving feeling better about my riding.
Fantastic experience: Learned a lot, ride coaches are awesome, fee is reasonable. Recommend for any rider looking to improve, learn or refresh your skills.
Fantastic experience: Excellent in every way. I'll he back.
Fantastic experience: 2nd time here, this time on the dirt bike. Experience both time had been wonderful. They have good motorcycles and gears. Was my son's first ride and he loved it.
Fantastic experience: The instructors were great! They really helped everyone feel comfortable and get the most out of the class.
Fantastic experience: Based on the map, I expected this to be just a part of the Honda plant, but it's actually a completely separate facility behind the plant, and it's very nice. The instructors here are absolutely top notch. You can tell it's more than just a job for them. They love riding and they sincerely want to promote and grow the riding community.
Negative experience: You should never fail anyone. Your the instructor so you should make sure they get the best help possible. Maybe the instructor needs a little help with teaching?
Fantastic experience: If you are thinking about riding, please go this route. It’s for the person that may know how to crank up and barely ride in a straight line to someone that never touched a bike but isn’t scared of one. It’s worth the time for the waiver, discounts and gaining some beneficial safety skills. For my class day 1 started at 8am with a mild in class review then we were on bikes in less than an hour. Continued to do riding exercises for the rest of the day ending around 4 – 5pm. Day 2 is a quick 8am info review then back out to the bikes again. Latter half of the afternoon are riding and written tests. They have vending machines, but bring water…its Georgia, lots of idle time on a hot bike, asphalt…you get it. For those of you looking to buy your first helmet, I can’t stress enough how important comfort is. Also figure out how to secure your D-Ring chin strap before class. If you are lucky like I was, you can enjoy some amazing weather with a great bunch of people and have some fun. If you are super lucky you will get Luis and Don as coaches. Nothing better than to be mentored by people passionate about their craft. I now carry around the life lesson – “…just take a deep breath, relax and be SMOOTH!” Enjoy the ride to everyone in the class of 3/19 - 3/20 ’22.
Fantastic experience: This class was more than I could have asked for. My instructors were literally hero's and made me feel so comfortable and truly cared about every person in the class and helping us all get better. I never felt judged having no experience at all, and I learned so much that I can't wait to expand on!! Thank you TERRY & JEFF!! YALL ARE THE BEST!!! Made the experience the best with your positivity, charismatic personalities and love for motorcycling!
Positive experience: Online looks like a good place, an looks like they can help me get my motorcycle license
Fantastic experience: This course almost certainly saved me from dropping my bike. Don't get on 2 wheels without taking a MSF course. It's honestly so important and you don't have to worry about learning on your bike (and potentially dropping it).
Fantastic experience: Instructors are great and show how much they want you to succeed. Every little mistake they gave tips to improve and it helped so much.
Fantastic experience: Carl and bill are the best! Thanks guys
Fantastic experience: Great instructors, a must have for any new rider.
Negative experience: Instructors have not shown much Diversity Equity & Inclusion behaviors, so far, on my first day. For example, Instructor Peter offered to play some music for a fellow student while she removed her top layer of clothes as it was getting hot on the course. Then instructor Steve felt empowered to inform my husband that he would be buying me batteries often because I can't seem to remember to shut off my key when parked. I will never go back here. This was supposedly a fun experience. Well if you enjoy being bullied, then this is the place for you.
Fantastic experience: Instructors are amazing. Very informative and will start you from ground zero to being able to ride. Would highly recommend taking during spring or late fall though. The heat was real lol took class late August 90 degrees out.
Fantastic experience: Karl made the experience amazing. Thank you, Sir! My wife passed the BRC and is now ready to learn more, and ease into riding. What a shot of confidence to overcome fear and anxiety! I wish they had signs explaining no photography and no walking on the course to meet instructors during the break. One of the instructors was pretty abrupt, but it was probably just the heat. The right place and the right people to get a good start in an amazing lifelong hobby.
Fantastic experience: I just finished the 2 day basic rider course and passed! It was over 90° both days and brutal in the practice lot. Instructors Bill and Terry were awesome!! If you get Bill, ask him to show you a demo in slow motion haha
Fantastic experience: Great people good instructor
Fantastic experience: I took the Basic Rider Course but there are many more courses available and I intend to sign up for them. The instructors (Joy and Jerome) are great people and are great at explaining what to do and helping those who needed extra coaching. Great people in my class with me as well, made it all the more fun to do. All around a fun and educational experience. Everyone who stayed in the class passed the final tests. Two people did choose to drop out halfway through the first day but the instructors did all they could to help them before they reached that decision. Weather you have some experience on a motorcycle or none at all, , I'd say this is the place to go!
Fantastic experience: Diddy the instructor was very nice and knowledgeable, and I feel like I learned a lot
Fantastic experience: Outstanding train from Bart and Terry!
Fantastic experience: Had an awesome time here. Instructors were very friendly and helpful.
Fantastic experience: Awesome place!!! Alex the instructor was very key and on point with his class. And patients with all the students!! A Big Plus!!!
Fantastic experience: I was actually one of the small percentage of students (I was the only one in my class of 12) that failed their test at the end and I wasn’t able to get my license from the course. I was really bummed out and it was a super embarrassing experience. But the course is still fantastic. Instructors are passionate and I can’t think of one time before the test that I wasn’t having fun. I took the motivation and learning from the course, and I got my learners permit the next day. One week later, I passed the DDS motorcycle skills test without any errors. I wouldn’t have been able to do that without the experience from the MSF course and I feel like a safer rider because of it.
Fantastic experience: Best thing to do if you want to motorcycle ride!!
Fantastic experience: The instructors were really knowledgeable and friendly. Had a blast at the course! Lots of different bikes to choose from, but they only have a few bikes out, so be sure to get on the track early if you want your pick :p Lunch break is an hour long (around noon usually) and you can get lunch from a nearby restaurant. Due to COVID, they don't provide helmets anymore and masks are required for indoor sessions.
Fantastic experience: The facility is easy to access, the staff is motivated and professional, the complex is well suited to the task of instruction. The instructors take the material seriously, the material takes itself seriously as well without being overflowing with redundancy or cringe-worthy fingerwaving. In the courses where the equipment provided it's nearly all Honda, due to the installation at the American Honda Complex. This is the ideal place at any age to begin the process of learning about motorcycles. I took the Basic Rider's Course for street bikes, having absolutely no riding experience myself at the time. They want you to succeed and the curriculum and the lessons on the bike are structured to build on successes, not to play 'gotcha' and be overly critical or needlessly confuse the student. The seat-time to classroom ratio felt like 3:2 easily, so most of the time was spent with a bike. If they are of the same quality, then I intend to take the other courses offered at this location without hesitation. The costs are more than reasonable for what you get.
Positive experience: A one stop for motorcycle training along with license waiver. Friendly staff help you in learning how to ride. Provides bikes and helmets
